Nestled in Melbourne, this lovely entire house for $281 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. DEFINITELY NO SCHOOLIES FREE WIFI AND NETFLIX THE PERFECT PLACE FOR A FAMILY BEACH HOLIDAY OR CHRISTMAS BREAK ENJOY A LOVELY FAMILY HOME JUST A FEW MINUTES WALK TO THE BEAUTIFUL, CHILD FRIENDLY TYRONE BEACH. Spacious, clean and comfortable, this attractive 4 bedroom holiday home is ideal for 2 families to share a summer holiday, for 3 couples or for a small group of friends. Why not have your "girls' weekend" here? Just 10-15 minutes from Peninsula Hot Springs and close to many fabulous wineries for lunch. Ideally located for a golfing getaway as well. (SORRY: NO SCHOOLIES) Although the house can sleep a total of 8 people, we do require a maximum of seven adults only. Charmingly furnished, the home features 4 bedrooms, kitchen, separate dining room, large living room and a laundry with washing machine and drier. The home has one full bathroom, plus a separate 2nd toilet and shower. All of this with a split system air conditioner and heater, as well as a cosy Coonara wood heater to add warmth and ambience in those cooler months. (Wood supplied) The kitchen has been recently renovated. It is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher and microwave. The outside area is spacious. A large new deck, furnished with barbecue and outdoor setting, captures the sun even in autumn, winter and spring. A pretty cottage garden borders the deck and side/back lawns. The securely fenced front and back yards make it most suitable for children to play. There is also ample off street parking, for cars as well as a car port. Please no boats. The house is ideally situated. It is set in a quiet, tree lined street. There's no need to to use the car to get to the waves and sand; it's an easy 8 minute stroll to the well known Tyrone Beach - safe and beautiful.You can indulge in the Blairgowrie cafe scene after a 20 minute walk or drive to the shops and restaurants in nearby Sorrento and Rye. Alternatively, you can drive up to the hills to wine and dine in one of the many fine wineries or pamper yourself at the nearby Peninsula Hot Springs. The more active can explore the Point Nepean National Park, play a round of golf at one of the many golf courses, take the children horse riding or trek along one of the many scenic walking tracks. WE DO NOT ACCEPT SCHOOLIES MINIMUM STAY: 2 NIGHTS ALL BOOKINGS OF AT LEAST ONE WEEK DURATION INCLUDE FREE BED LINEN. BEDROOM LAYOUT - SLEEPS 8 PEOPLE 1st bedroom with a queen sized bed 2nd bedroom with queen sized bed. 3rd bedroom with Queens sized bed. 4th bedroom sleeps 3 people, one bunk bed (sleeps 2) and a single bed. Sorry, no pets. No schoolies

Dec 2019We were very happy with everything to do with our accomodation, the one except was the hot water with 9 people in the house, we kept running out of hot water even though we limited the time in the showers. With the girls washing their long hair after swimming & we could only use the dishwasher at night because of this, so needed to use the kettle to wash mugs etc during the day. The layout of the house was perfect for us & the description on-line matched the house. Thank you for an enjoyable holiday. Tina

Jan 2017We spent 10 days at Hardy Retreat and loved it. The house is an easy walk from Tyrone beach. My three and six year olds didn't complain once! The house itself was clean and quiet. The yard is gorgeous and beautifully kept. My kids loved playing cricket on the grass while we sat on the deck in the afternoon sunshine. The kitchen had everything you want to cook up a storm. The living room, dining and kitchen stays cool with the AC but the bedrooms were pretty warm after a couple of hot days in a row. Some fans would be nice to move the air around. A great house and Joy was a wonderful host. We look forward to staying again in the future.

Jan 2021We really loved staying here - terrific location and lots of room. Only drawbacks were the lack of wifi and a slightly dodgy bbq. When we accidentally left the keys in the door (on the inside) when we left, the host was very gracious about it. (Phew!)

Apr 2018We loved our stay at this house. Very clean, comfortable and well-equipped holiday home. The thing we loved most about the house was the wonderful lounge room. So many holiday homes seem to fall short in this area, (ie they can sleep a million people but have an uncomfortable 3 seater lounge to supposedly accomodate everyone???). Anyway, the lounge was great and very comfortable, like the rest of the house.
Great location too. A nice enjoyable very short walk to the lovely front beach. Then we could also walk along the beach to get to Rye shops, pier and beach in one direction. And the other direction to get to the shopping strip and cafes of Blairgowrie.
We’ll definitely stay here again. Thanks Joy.

Dec 2020Well equipped property with everything we needed, all in good working order. The living room chairs were very comfortable but the only downside was that we all thought the beds were a bit firm. A very enjoyable recommended 4 nights break over the Christmas holiday.

Jan 2019We had a great time at Hardy retreat. Perfect layout for 2 families. Kids down one end of the house and then main area at front of the house with a very, very comfy couch. Tidy and clean house with everything you need. About a 10min walk (with toddlers) to the front beach which was great on busy days (didn’t have to battle for a car park). Overall we loved our stay!

Jun 2020The house was clean and had all the ammenities as advertised. It was a short walk to the beach but the big comfy lounge in front of the fire was where we spent most of our weekend away. It was a pleasure communicating with Joy. We can’t wait to stay at Hardy’s Retreat again soon.

The owner was a nice and freindly lady who responded to all our emails and requests quickly. The property had a lovely garden and deck. We would definitely recommend the property to anyone who would like to stay there.

An easy walk to the beach, but if you’re taking chairs and umbrellas it might be getting on the long side. Plenty of parking at the boat ramp area though, which we used a couple of times. It’s a decent walk to Blairgowrie shops but well rewarded with good coffee or aperitif when you get there

Jan 2018Hardy Retreat is a great place to stay for a family beach holiday. Only a short drive to surf beaches and walking distance to the lovely calm of Tyrone front beach. The house was lovely and clean with a well equipped kitchen and fresh bed linen. The BBQ and deck was a great way to end the day or a 12 minute walk to local Cafes and shops along the new foot path or beach very relaxing. Communication with the owner very easy and reimbursement of bond deposited quickly. Thankyou Joy we had a lovely stay at Hardy Retreat.
