The Perfect Oasis for Long or Short Stay on Santa Cruz

Ximena was super fantastic, she rocks. I am making this my future home base on Santa Cruz. The facilities are exceptional, the pool is magical. The supplies they provided were beyond. The beds were comfy, the cookware was high end. Seriously one of the most well run properties I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The pool furniture was super nice. Oh my, they have thought of everything !

A wonderful stay at Galapagos Cottages: Comfort, Service, and Attention to Details

My stay at Galapagos Cottages was superb. The room was very comfortable, and the facilities are complete. We stayed for 3 nights, and everything went very well. Ximena's service was fabulous. I had already read good comments about her, and I can confirm that they are all true. Ximena pays attention to every detail, and I would stay there again at any time.

Quiet and comfortable cottage in Galapagos, near town, great host and with a pool!

The host, Ximena, went above and beyond with helpful planning, friendly conversations, and communication. She even stocked the fridge with the basics before we arrived. The cottage was wonderful, comfortable, updated, and the beds were very nice. The pool was a bonus - clean and cool! It was a very short walk to town and restaurants.

Would 100% totally recommend this place to anyone visiting the galapagos. It was wonderful.

Amazing apartment in a good location. Apartment was large. Place was beautiful and clean and well kept. All the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Pool was clean and refreshing. They had everything we could possibly need.

Fantstic place to stay. Perfect location and good facilities.

The owners are extremely friendly, helpful and generous. We were provided with tourist information and even some basic essentials to make our stay a 'home from home' experience.

We were unable to book additional nights stay as Booking .com indicated there was no availability for the dates requested. We subsequently found out the room was available, but it was too late.

Great family location with added perks making settling in much more relaxing.

The host was so friendly and helpful for things like connecting us to taxis and excursions both before and during our stay. She had the unit stocked with breakfast and lunch items and even had a container of cookies and some fruit (we didn’t ask for any of that and it was so nice)! The cleaning person was so thorough and did our laundry (we left some money).

The location is a little farther from town, but that didn’t bother us bc we like to walk places.

Awesome cottage for our family of 5 and perfect location to explore Santa Cruz.

My family of 5 loved our stay at the Galapagos Cottages. Ximena sent a taxi to the Baltra airport to pick us up which already set the bar for a smooth transition in and an excellent time. The space is beautiful with outdoor seating areas, hammocks on the balconies, and enough beds for my family to be more than comfortable. We also had three full baths which were very clean which made it extra comfortable for my family. We were able to cook in her kitchen and the grill outside -- Ximena even had some kitchen essentials like eggs and bread in the kitchen ready for us. She also brought over brownies at Christmas which was such a kind treat. The location is just a 30 minute walk to Tortuga Bay and less than 10 minute walk to the pier. Excellent location. We had a wonderful time! Absolutely recommend this spot.

The only thing that could have made our stay better was easier access to laundry, but we knew not to expect this on site.

A perfect place!

The cottage was beautiful! The property is excellent. We had everything we needed. The host was extremely helpful and kind. I would recommend this property to all my friends who visit Galapagos.

Superb

The owner was very kind and friendly. Our cottage was lovely and clean. Easy walking distance from downtown still very quiet and relaxing.

Hope the WiFi in the island improved soon.

Best accommodations in Galapagos

We stayed 4 nights here. Absolutely fantastic place in an optimal location. The house is spotless and cleaned daily. The cleaner will also do your laundry (leave a tip!). There is a big tank of drinking water which is changed whenever you need a new one. This really helps - you don't have to buy water bottles all the time. Ximena (the owner/host) is seriously the best host I've ever had and I've been traveling nonstop for 1.5 years. When we told her we were going to Isabella Island before coming she immediately offered to keep our bags. This was so thoughtful and helpful (because it's a pain to drag bags around Isabella and the ferries). She stocked the fridge with some essentials so we didn't need to go to the supermarket right away. She's just on the spot for everything! Finally the bed was super comfy and great pillows. The water is hot and maintains a steady temperature...we had some issues at other places so this was really welcome.

beautiful and cozy space. perfect base for a week of exploring the Galapagos!

the space was perfect for our family. it had plenty of room. being able to make a simple breakfast or dinner was nice. the whole property was very very nice. would be great for a group of families.

We would recommend this stay to anyone. It was the best air b&b we’ve stayed in.

So clean, tidy and roomy. Exceptionally kept. Host was kind, gracious and friendly. Safety and closeness was perfect. Close access to port and famous Tortuga beach, dining and outfitters.

The best place in Galapagos! Relax and enjoy your stay in Santa Cruz!

We loved everything about our stay here. We were cared for like family you love and appreciated how close to the Tortuga beach trail we were and the quiet surroundings. The pool was clean and beautiful at the end of the day. Our apartment was a slice of heaven to relax in, sleep in the comfortable beds, and prepare meals. Everything we needed and more! Our host, Ximane was incredibly kind, helpful and really communicative. Having been in the Galapagos for 3 weeks and traveling for 12 weeks so far, this was the best place of all!

Stay here--you won't regret it!

This was one of the most amazing stays I have ever had. Ximena was so kind and amazing and truly cares about you and your experience with your stay. I had severely injured my back on another island before arrival and could hardly walk and she met me at the port with a wheelchair, watched my kids while I went to the ER, and had our kitchen stocked with breakfast food, coffee, and snacks before our arrival so we didn't have to worry about going out and finding stuff. She even found a wheelchair I could borrow for the duration of our stay, helped arrange taxis, etc. The apartment itself was very cozy, comfortable, and had that personal touch. I would live in it if I could. I even asked her if she had lived in them to know what to include because we didn't need anything--everything from salt and cooking oil to towel hooks were all there. This is also the first place on the whole trip that provided bath towels AND pool towels. The pool was a life saver for entertainment while I was laid up and my kids needed something to do. It was also very clean and roomy.

Must Stay Here While On Santa Cruz

This property was AMAZING!! Ximena greeted our group and was an excellent / attentive host, yet gave us our space. We stayed in the smaller cottage the first night and then moved to the larger house on the second and third night. Great location, great pool, good Wi-Fi, ample water available. I can’t say enough good things!

Heavenly dream home on Santa Cruz

So thankful that I booked a stay here! The property was amazing and the 2bd townhome unit that I had was fantastic. Super easy communication with the host to coordinate check in,. The place was perfectly clean and so relaxing. The host even provided supplies for breakfast which was lovely. Liked that it was a bit outside of town, super quiet and peaceful, yet still easy to walk everywhere. Host was full of recommendations and suggestions that made settling in very easy. It was so difficult to leave, island life is quite nice and there is plenty to do. I already want to go back asap.

Nothing could have been better, my stay was absolutely fabulous and I highly recommend the cottages as your home on Santa Cruz.

It is exceptional for land based eco-tourism to the Galapagos.

Exceptional location a short walk or $5 cab ride from the Puerto Ayora harbor, excursion companies and ferry services. Bonus is its proximity to the National Park entrance to Tortuga Bay - one of the most beautiful beaches and wildlife sanctuaries in the world.

This place is perfect! Travelers should be aware this is a property for those who like a personal cottage in a compound with a pool. It is not a hotel with those services.
