Quiet, private refuge.

It was quiet and private. A good kitchen was valuable. Some folks can’t stand the chorus of Coqui song, but i found it soothing as I fell asleep.

I felt bad that this modest apartment, which was probably affordable housing for locals, has become a pricey tourist accommodation.

The host had beach towels, chairs and snorkels. Unbrella's for those rainy days in Hilo.

The house was cozy and felt like a home away from home. The host thought of everything you would need that you couldn't pack. The gifts from local vendor's was such a nice touch. The location was awesome, so close to everything!

Getting out of the driveway. It would scrap the underneath of the van. Best to have a higher vehicle or SUV. It's wasn't that bad though!

Home away from home.

Very clean and comfortable with lovely added touches by the owners. This included a welcome basket of goodies, quality hand wash, shampoo etc. The snorkels, masks and fins provided along with beach towels was much appreciated. A true home away from home with easy walking access to town and a laundromat nearby.

cute, comfortable and convenient!

Location was super convenient to everything in Hilo. We ended up with an extra day (didn't need as much time in Volcano as we planned) and it was so fun to get out and explore the area.

Everything was awesome.

good location nice and roomy very clean coffee and snacks provided

the $160 cleaning fee that is a little steep the coqui frogs are very loud that said they did provide ear plugs

Fantastic!!!

Every possible detail was addressed by the owners. They have thought of just about everything a family could need on their vacation and had it really available. The unit was very clean and comfortable and within walking distance to downtown.

Cute and comfortable accomodation

Location was excellent, with a short stroll to shops. Fabulous self contained accomodation, with lots of extras. Perfectly styled with lovely rainbows.

Well, those local frogs get a bit noisy at night in Hilo. Otherwise, nothing negative to mention.

A cozy, clean and well stocked place to stay. Walking distance to everything. The host was very accommodating and quick

there was a really nice homely feel. the openers put a lot of thought to make it feel welcoming, clean and comfortable.

The driveway was a bit tricky to navigate through with a wheelchair.

10/10 would come back and stay here again!

The pictures dont all the way do this property justice. It is PERFECT. Not only is it VERY comfortable and conveniently located- The hosts are so thoughtful (they had a welcome basket, beach gear, extra towels, umbrellas , bedding, a fully loaded kitchen, etc.). We stayed in July and the unit having no AC was not an issue AT ALL. It was a perfect home. We were so comfy we bought ingredients to make breakfast most mornings. I wish all my airbnb stays were like this one.
