Amazing stay! Got a welcoming text prior to the visit informing us about local activities and asking us about our arrival time etc. When we arrived at 9:30am she told us the room wasn’t ready (of course not it was very early in the morning) and she showed us around and said she would text us when it was ready. We went and had breakfast and the room was promptly ready and wow it was amazing! super clean and friendly, had free hats, umbrellas, coffee and hot chocolate and even had a free food shelf in the shared fridge ! we made cheese toasties and coffee for lunch the next day which we thought was fab. Pool was cold (we stayed in beginning of march of course so was expected) but still managed to relax on the rooftop loungers and got a nice bit of sun in. Host is absolutely lovely and clearly cares a lot about her establishment. 10 out of 10 definitely will be returning. only 10 minute walk to anywhere you want to be; beach, restaurants, strip etc. Blankets on chairs outside were a lovely little extra which shows the care and love in this place.

Gorgeous guest house. Great checking in instructions. Paulo was so friendly and helpful. Loved the rooftop pool and sunbeds, even had beach towels. Lovely room with great shower and even a hairdryer. Fabulous coffee in the communal area, great idea that you have fridge space and cupboard space. Five minute walk to beach and old town. We will definitely be back.

Host was very responsive and accommodating. Facilities throughout the complex were nice, comprehensive and well-equipped.
Coffee, sunscreen, Wi-Fi, pool, full kitchen, etc - all great.
The bathroom was rough around the edges and the air conditioner/heater was inconsistent. We visited during a colder month so it got cold at night without that.

Overall, the stay was amazing. The room was decent, very large bed, comfortable, nothing to complain about. A lot of wall plugs around the bed, my room also had its own fridge. But actually, the biggest benefits of this property are the amenities. There is a large chill area outside where you can just hang out and have your own food, there’s a very well equipped common kitchen, a roof terrace with a pool and a workspace. All of these are also fairly spacious, considering the fairly small number of rooms, low chance of them overcrowding. It’s also the little details - you can get some sunscreen if you need it, the kitchen has so much stuff to use and generally, there’s just everything you may need. Room cleaning isn’t done daily, but any time you want it, you can ask for it. Also, there is such a nice personal touch - Paulo is around every day, willing to help with anything you need and available via text as well, which just makes the experience that much better.
I have only one thing - not great soundproofing. At the same time, I feel like it’s mostly the doors, so potentially not too bad to fix in the future, but I could hear a lot of what was happening around. But at the end of the day, nothing that can’t be fixed with earplugs; though I would recommend a room above ground floor for less noise.

This place is so amazing.It was clean,comfortable and was easy to find.The staff was very kind and interactive.I felt at home.They made sure we had everything for our stay.There is a kitchen and storage area .I would definitely recommend this place.The pool is also great.
The Guesthouse doesn’t have a parking lot but there is a parking lot in 350 m and it’s free

What is not to like? Paulo was so welcoming and it is evident he is proud of Casa Amarela as he should be. From the kitchen equipped with a free coffee machine, plus 3 other types of coffee makers, to the fridge and kitchen shelves labelled with our room name. They also had a luggage store room with sun screen, beach umbrellas and power adaptors for any country. We were first in a standard room and then moved to a terrace room. This had a lovely terrace, fridge and plenty of room. The wine was a nice touch as well. And finally the pool and sun area, so great during a hot day. Would highly recommend Casa Amarela as it made our trip to Albufeira memorable.

One of our favourite stays in Europe! The host Paulo is so accomodating and the room was amazing - clean, massive and comfy bed, great shutters and we got beach towels to use. The area was perfect to stay in as it’s really close to the old town and beach but really quiet. There was also so many healthy options for breakfast. Pool area is also lovely. We stayed in another place in Albufeira after and this guesthouse was way better value for money.

Spotlessly clean, meticulous attention to detail great relaxing areas to chill, sunbathe, chat with family. Breakfast laid out by family , use of kitchen throughout the day a bonus for snacks nd well organised shelf / fridge space per room .
Only recommendation would be a railing up to dining room nd also on steps in swimming pool - for safety of seniors!

We really like the staying at this place, and everything was awesome and perfect for us. We love the elegant and friendly atmosphere here, also they provide timely service about any requirement.

I loved the friendliness of the staff. From the moment we walked in to leaving. They couldn't do more to help. I loved the little touches they had, from extra beach towels to sun cream if you needed. I loved the outdoor areas. you could choose from sitting in sun to shade, and how each room had their own shelf to keep food if you wanted. the roof top area was fabulous. and the pool ( even though was freezing and very deep, and it will take your breath away getting in 🥶it was very welcomed in the heat.
location was good. it about 10 minute walk down to the old town. and beach. and about 15 walk to Marina...tough walking up hill on way home 🥵. but that is all of Albufeira. There was shops bars and restaurants nearby, *there is a shop next door, with a very nice friendly owner that had the essentials. ( water, chocolate and wine 😉).
the guesthouse is very fresh, and has all the signs of a new vibe... AND
the staff need a second mention. Paulo and Fabiana really were amazing 🥰🥰. we loved our week there!
I wouldn't say I disliked it about the property. but just things to be aware of.
There was a few trip hazards around the place, you'd need to be careful not to stub your toe. the steps going up to out door eating area and kitchen were steep and has no rail.
the pool was difficult to get in and out of because there was a big step in and out. but once you are aware and careful it was fine. the bedrooms are a little bit on the small
size. but saying that they still worked, as it was very comfortable and clean.

The owner was extremely helpful with providing us with anything we wanted, booking taxis, trips etc and made our holiday completely stress free. Lovely kitchen facilities also and always left open

Everything! Paulo and his wife were incredibly kind and helpful. We arrived about an hour before check in and they allowed for us to check in. The facilities are great. We loved the pool! Breakfast in the morning was also simple yet satisfying. Highly recommend!

This guesthouse is super clean. The owner cannot do enough for you. He’s very happy all the time. It’s in a good location to walk to old town for bars and restaurants but far enough away to not be disturbed over night. They also provide continental breakfast, help yourself style.

Amazing guesthouse, perfect for our 4 night stay. Room was great, comfortable bed, great air conditioning. Roof top pool was great! Perfect location and easy access, so close to beach and old town. Everything walking distance. Paulo was very accommodating and kind, helpful with many recommendations and even provided us with a guide for all things in Albufeira - even had beach umbrellas for us to borrow during our stay which was a bonus! All around amazing stay & would recommend Casa Amarela highly, 10/10!

beautifully renovated property with lots to offer. the sun deck and pool were a beautiful place to chill out/cool off from the Portuguese sun.
our room was very comfortable and clean. great locations next to the marina and just a short walk to the old town and beach.
The rooms could probably do with a balcony and the bathrooms possibly a more rigid shower screen, as there was quite a lot of spillage from the shower. our room was based on the ground floor quite close to reception so it could be noisy at times, other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

The location was perfect we were a 5 minute walk from the main area in the old town. The beds were comfy and the place was very clean. The staff were also so friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend
