Situated in Jonesport, this lovely cottage for $160 per night is a great choice for your next break. Come enjoy our 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage with beautiful attached 3 season sunroom, BBQ grill and fire pit. This is located just one half mile from the Roque Bluffs State Park Beach. Sit in the back yard and hear the waves rolling in at the beach. Very tranquil. It’s a 2 min drive or 10 min walk. You can see the local wildlife right in the back yard. We have beautiful sunsets in this tranquil location. Just a mile past the beach is our local wharf where u can sit on the wharf or the sea wall and enjoy the spectacular sunsets. Purchase fresh caught lobsters or fresh dug clams right from our local fisherman. If u enjoy duck hunting season, come enjoy some of the best sea duck hunting anywhere. Down at our local wharf just 3 minutes from the cottage, launch your boat and see hundreds of sea ducks right in our bay. Hiking trails are located beside the beach and the local pond directly across from the beach. Our state park beach doesn’t allow dogs but the pond directly across the street does. Enjoy hiking, biking, kyaking, canoeing or just relaxing. Atv trails and snowmobile trails are 8 miles from the house. They are incredible ITS trails. There is satellite tv, internet, and also has DVD player and DVD’s for viewing. Or just come enjoy leaf peeping season and spectacular blueberry fields that change red during the fall season. We have Welch’s blueberry farm just around the corner to go and enjoy the experience of a working blueberry farm. We have some breath taking foliage. And some beautiful trails to ride. Our town of Machias is just 8 miles away with some fantastic local restaurants. Lots of places to visit in our outlying areas. We have Quoddy Head lighthouse just a 45 min drive. Bar harbor with Acadia national park is an hour and a half away. Come enjoy or sit by the fire pit at night and enjoy listening to the ocean. If you have pets, the pet fee is required to be paid.

Great location for work and family. Close to the beach and Machias. Stocked with everything we needed. Very cute & cozy. Early morning visits from the local deer tribe. Can't wait to return!

Marge was a great host. The banana nut bread she left for us was yummy! This was a great little place to stay at and it was nice and quiet! Only minor glitch was the WiFi wasn’t the greatest and couldn’t get on Netflix on the tv, but not Marge’s fault. I recommend this place and would stay here again!

Marjorie was amazing left us some home bread was so delicious. Place was clean and just what we needed for our two poodles. Very peaceful would highly recommend this place. Enjoy our stay will be looking forward to a future vist

This charming coastal cottage was perfect for our family of 4 to spread out and enjoy our stay. The cottage is beautifully decorated and is fully stocked with everything you could need, including a washer and dryer plus laundry detergent, and a Brita water filter pitcher in the fridge, which we really appreciated. The location is amazing, with the beach just down the road and only a short drive into the town of Machias. The property is so quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Maggie is a superb host and provided excellent communication every step of the way, plus she left us homemade banana bread as a welcome! Checking in and out was a breeze. We hope to return on future visits!

We had a great stay the house was nice and clean. We had 5 and all slept comfortably. We had a fire 2 nights and really enjoyed it. Beach was right down the road which was great. A little more remote than we anticipated, but that ended up making for a nice quiet getaway. My wife ended up finding wild blueberries growing right along the road side across the street. Would recommend for quiet restful trip.

We've visit Roque Bluffs often to see family, renting many properties, and Maggie's cottage is the most peaceful and comfortable of all. It is just big enough for the two of us and our dog and would easily fit another couple or a family of 4. We absolutely love the sun room and the backyard for Stella to chase her ball and lay in the sun (we safely hooked her to a run we brought so she didn't decide to chase any animals). Maggie's communication was the best: always quick and full of info. Machias is a short drive for Hannaford's and other amenities, and of course the coastline drives are breathtaking - our fave is through lovely Machiasport. THANK YOU MAGGIE for sharing you home! We'll be back!

Second time we have stayed here, and was just as nice as the first time. Maggie is by far the best hostess. She is half the reason we went back. We had everything we needed in the cottage and is very close to Roque Bluffs State Park. Will be going again in the future.

We can’t say enough about the Bluffs Cottage. It was truly a wonderful experience - we couldn’t have asked for a better host. Maggie has gone above and beyond to make the cottage and the property a perfect place to stay. The cottage is so warm and welcoming. If we needed anything, Maggie was very responsive. And the homemade pumpkin bread was such a treat! We spent a lot of time at the Roque Bluffs beach just a short drive or walk down the road. Machias is right nearby if you need to run into town quick. If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway and want to experience Maine at its best - THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY!

An easy walk to Roque Bluff State Park. Kayaking has endless opportunities and several hiking trails both at the park and nearby. Very clean and everything we needed for cooking meals. Laundry was great after being active outside. Plenty of hot water.

The cottage is very clean and the central location is perfect! We were able to drive easily up to Lubec and down to Acadia from the cottage. Also, the homemade banana bread and the wood and kindling for an outside fire were such a special touch! Wonderful vacation!

What a beautiful, quiet property and area. Not overcrowded, but easy to get to Earle’s local fish van and Helen’s amazing pie restaurant in Machias. Maggie’s place is so comfortable and well stocked for a couple or a family. Thank you!

We had a great time with our 3 adult kids, plenty of fun things to do in the area and the beach at the state park just down the road was a great bonus! The cottage had everything we needed and enough space for all of us, and was close enough to town (Machias) that we could run in for shopping. We found a great place for fresh live lobsters just down the road as well, and even figured out how to steam them. The property owner (Maggie) was readily available if we had any questions. This was our first Vrbo experience and it was a great one, we would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a Maine getaway!

Maggie's Bluff Cottage is a sweeeet spot very close to Roque Bluff's State Park--one of the most beautiful beaches on the Maine coast. Honestly, we'd only rented a private vacation home one other time in our life a few years ago and weren't sure how this would work for our "longer-term needs". From our initial inquiry to checking out, Maggie was the absolute Bessssstttt! We'd selected this cottage due to Maggie's generosity in allowing up to two pets. We were relocating from out of State to Maine, and we needed a place to call "Home" for over three weeks. It was perfect, and quiet for all of our needs, and we felt sad when it was time to leave. Maggie has thought of everything and is just what the other reviewers said--available ASAP when we needed her for minor questions. She strives, gracefully, to be sure her guests are 100% satisfied which we were. Very Highly recommended!!! And, hope to see Maggie again ;)))

The location is ideally situated for a variety of local activities, lots to do in the area. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the sunroom with nice views of the well cared for gardens.
