Unique Cahuita adventure stay for beach and nature lovers!

We loved our stay in Topo’s treehouse! The property is unique and beautiful. It feels safe even though most of the house is open to nature. The neighborhood feels safe (safest we felt in Costa Rica) and the property is large and has plant-covered fences with a locked gate for added privacy. The bedrooms can be closed up and have excellent air-conditioning if it gets warm. You never know what kind of wildlife you will see, so remember to look around . During our 2-night stay, we saw a juvenile 3-toed sloth, howler monkeys, bats (cute - not scary), geckos, our clever raccoon (who is the reason we kept the trash in the refrigerator at night), agoutis, many species of frogs and birds and probably more that I am forgetting. The warm-water beach was a quick walk away and the sand was amazing and no rocks in the water! There is a great Reggae bar/restaurant right there too which we ate at twice - very good food! While eating at the restaurant, we saw a kinkajou and sloth in the trees on our first night there. So cool! On the quick walk to the beach, you will see Bridgette’s tours advertised - drop in if you want to reserve any of them. We did the horseback riding and throughly enjoyed it - bring pants :) Topo was a great host and we highly recommend this adventurous/unique place to stay in Cahuita. Also recommend snorkeling/park tour - we just drove into town and found someone to take us out - saw sea turtle, stingrays, puffer fish, flounder, lobsters, and 3 lion fish with our guide. Thanks, Topo!!!

We had an amazing time.

Location was amazing! Tree house was exactly what it said... a treehouse - tons of wildlife which is what we wanted. The property grounds were amazing - lots of birds, monkeys and a sloth. The toucans were beautiful

We've been staying at B&B's (long before Air), VRBO's, Booking thru AUS/NZ/Europe/Cuba and Topo is at the top of the list for communicators with prompt and accurate responses. The property is like the Swiss Family Robinson modern day version. I wish we could have stayed longer. This is a jewel in the jungle life of Cahuita. Great food in the area with Carib atmosphere and a great Italian restaurant just a few blocks away. Thanks Topo!

A great experience- how many times do you get to stay in a tree house surrounded by wildlife.

Topos Treehouse is an experience unlike any hotel or cabin although it is rustic although very cool. Our visit was amazing we had four resident sloths living in the same tree as the house. One morning, one of the sloths was right at the top balcony just a few feet away. We also saw poison dart frogs in the yard and a toucan in the morning along with some fruit bats. The treehouse is close to the beach and local restaurants/bar and maybe a 10 minute walk to town. Topos the host is great

A Dream in a tree

This place was one of the most beautiful stay I've ever had. Beautiful private jungle all to yourself. The treehouse itself is an absolute dream. Comfortable, clean and being built in a tree you've got your very wild life living with you. Very quiet and a 2 min walk to the beach. I highly recommend this place to anyone either solo traveler, family or groups. Just perfect.

Overall, our stay was excellent, just a couple nit-picky things that I listed.

Great location. Great access to beach and dining.

The shower head is awful. The roof is super noisy when it rains.

Fantastic place

Topos tree house is truly amazing, it's a unique place to stay, very comfortable with everything you need. It's set in beautiful jungle with a lot of wildlife around, we saw the resident sloth, iguanas, agouti, toucans & lizards. It's in a quiet end if town but just a short walk to beach restaurants and bars. We had a fantastic time.

Amazing the tree house is like nothing we have stayed in before. There is a lot of wildlife around the house. Lovely restaurants at the end of the road overlooking the sea. The kids 9 & 7 thought it was brilliant.
