We had a wonderful time at this home with our extended family of 9. The location is excellent, with great sound views and easy beach access via the public approach right across the street. The home is well equipped with an excellent exercise room, garage stocked full of beach equipment, and lots of books and games in the main living area. We had two minor issues related to check in— communication was initially difficult with the owner due to her internet being down, and the house cleaners were not finished until 630 pm or so as opposed to 4 pm on the arrival day. Overall, I would recommend this VRBO, particularly in the quiet wintertime.

Great place to stay! Only complaint oven didn’t work which would’ve been a deal breaker with a party of 11. Host forgot to mention the part was ordered, but was broken. Loved everything else

Our experience was absolutely awesome from the onset of speaking with Barbara. This house had EVERY amenity, was aesthetically well adorned, was spacious and comfortable both inside and outside. Every person who visited felt it’s warmth, coziness, and beauty. Truly added to our AWESOME wedding weekend.

Our daughter was married on N Wrightsville Beach and we rented this home for hosting family and close friends. The views, the living and outdoor space and the amenities were incredible. I wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding festivities, including having this home as our landing pad. It was magnificent!

The home was just perfect for our daughter's wedding week. The set up was very nice for the bridesmaids to spend the day getting ready and the porch made the most gorgeous pictures. And after the wedding, the porch was an excellent spot to unwind and relax. The owners were very accessible and responsive. We would definitely rent here again!

Overall, gorgeous place. Immaculate taste by the designer for art and furnishings. We had a mixed experience: pleasant home, disappointment with exaggerated claims on sleeping accommodations, and surprising communication by the homeowner at the end of our stay. Recommendation to homeowner: Be genuine that it is really a 3 BR plus additional sleeping arrangements. The bunkroom IN the master bedroom offered no privacy so wasn’t usable. The room with the trundle bed that "converts to a king" doesn't. The height of the trundle doesn’t match the daybed. This same room has no closet, no dresser and no space for luggage. The master bedroom is gorgeous, but the closet is locked for owners use only. We hung our formal attire on a shared, portable coat rack in the laundry room. Don't claim 5 BR. Recommendation to homeowner: Add safety signs in backyard near stepoff to the marsh below. It looks like grass field when the water recedes to a dog or toddler. Our dog couldn't make it out and gave up. The rescue wasn't easy. Recommendation to homeowner: Add safety signs near faucets to reinforce check-in message not to drink faucet water. Walk-in guests won't see that or remember what we tell them. Recommendation to homeowner: Check claims/accusations by cleaning crew before involving us. No evidence for exaggerated claims. That's between you and them. BIG ISSUE IN THE CLOSE TURNED OUT TO BE MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING The biggest issue was in the close. The homeowner believed a dishonest cleaning crew. "Such disarray that extra crew hired for 8 hours." That's beyond absurd. The homeowner admitted later than she didn't actually see. When asked for photos, the cleaning crew couldn't provide anything except the trash bags and boxes we stacked for disposal in the garage because the trash can was too small. 8 hours? Extra crew? That's not hard to read for what it really is. We think the owner could have read the situation better with the cleaning crew, rather than creating conflict by blindly forwarding messages. This conflict scarred some wonderful trip memories. We weren't going to write a review, but we forced by VRBOs process of the owner reviewing the client and not allowing the client to see the review unless they left one. Its unfortunate that the owner left a review, which cannot be retracted, after she received mis-information from her cleaning crew. Oh, well.

As great as it seems in the listing. Perfect location at the north end of island with excellent sunset views and easy access to one of the best sections of Wrightsville Beach. House comes with everything you could imagine needing and is kept in great condition. Barbara is very responsive and a great host. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing Wrightsville Beach experience.

The property has all the amenities of a home away from home plus the all of the fun activities you'd want in a beach vacation. The location on the bay side, directly adjacent from the beach access is really the best of both worlds when traveling with an active family. The other plus of the location is that it's very quiet at night unlike mid or south beach. We would definitely stay again!

Home was very well equipped with bedrooms on the second floor and kitchen & great room on the third floor. Great for entertaining with beautiful front and rear covered decks.

We chose this house for a gathering of family and friends in celebration of our son’s wedding. The house is beautiful. The highlight is the rear deck that overlooks the waterway and spans the length of the house to accommodate a larger party, but beautiful vistas of the ocean are also provided with front decks. Very peaceful setting.

I rarely write reviews yet this home was way above and beyond my expectations. The pictures truly don’t do this home justice. The weather was rainy and cold most of our visit (end of March) yet we could still enjoy the outside because of how the house was situated. The sun always showed up for sunset on the back porches which made it warm and out of the wind. The front porches ended up perfect for morning coffee and ocean views. The home felt loved by the owners and had so many special touches. I never wanted to leave. I would rent this home every time.

Cannot say enough nice things about the house and all the amenities. Super easy to work with Barbara, and the view of both the intercoastal and beach are breathtaking. We will be back!!

The dishwasher needs replacement (the owner has a new one on order and it is delayed due to the pandemic) and the primary oven (there are two) needs to have the temperature knobs calibrated (there was about a 100-degree play in the knob - not ideal for cooking a 20 lb. turkey!). The various decks and porches made it easy for smaller groups to gather separately - beautiful sunrise views and smashing sunset views! Adding more lighting to the living room would be a BIG improvement, especially when playing pool. Overall, it was just right for our group of all adults. Drinking coffee on the second story deck each morning was just perfect.
