Situated in Block Island, this attractive house for $950 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. "The Nest" at Turkey Hollow is a beautiful spacious new home, located 1 mile from town and the beaches of Block Island. Completed in 2015, this gambrel style vacation home has all the amenities and comforts you would expect from a new home, plus offers all the charm of a classic island home. Wide pine floors, ship-lap and modern touches in the open interior. A modern, sunny kitchen opens to large living and dining area with sliders to a big deck offering gorgeous views of 34 acres . En-suite master bedroom (1 queen bed) and a cozy den/ library complete the 1st floor. Second floor offers an additional en-suite master bedroom (1 queen bed) with a private porch.... absoutley beatutiful views! 2 other bedrooms (twins in each) with connecting balconies and a full bathroom finish out the 2nd floor. *Un-connected finished lower level- ***must walk outside to access lower level*** includes 2 bedrooms (1 queen bed in 1 bedroom, 3 twins in the other), a full bath with slate shower, an open living space with TV and a kitchenette. Office area and fooze-ball table finish the lower level...this home is really perfect for all your needs. Lots of privacy for everyone! Outdoor shower, and plenty of sitting areas. Room for everyone!! *Block Island is accessible by air or ferry only. Car reservations book on the ferry as far as a year in advance. Please call Interstate Navigation as soon as possible for booking your car reservations. House is rented by the week (Friday to friday) in peak season and 3 night minimum in the off season. Peak season- Check in is FRIDAY AT 4PM Check out is FRIDAY AT 10AM ********** We strongly request that all guests purchase a rental/travel insurance policy so that you are covered in case of an emergency cancellation due to weather, family or medical. ********** **Please note- sheets & pillow cases, and towels are not provided. **As with most homes on island, we are located on a private dirt road/driveway. Beautiful private retreat!
Stunning home on Block Island, comfortable furnishings, spacious areas for hanging out. Sara was an excellent host. She communicated well and was friendly and helpful. The five of us had fun seeing the island, especially the lighthouses. At night we brought great food from local restaurants to the house and had a wonderful time being together for the first time since the pandemic began. Thank you, Sara, for providing such a beautiful house for us to enjoy.

50th Anniversary Celebration
From the beginning to the end Sara made herself available at all times. I would email her and within 5 minutes she would reply. She made the process of renting her house so easy.
Her home was clean and had everything we needed. I would not hesitate to rent from her again.
The location was perfect for us. Not far from town or the Beach in fact we would walk to town.
I cannot recommend this house enough. We had twelve people and we were quite comfortable with room to spare inside and out

Amazing long weekend at The Nest!
We had such an incredible long weekend staying at The Nest at Turkey Hollow! The house was incredibly clean and orderly which immediately made us feel at ease (amidst COVID pandemic). We were greeted with a sweet note from Sarah, making us feel welcomed and right at home. Sarah was so easy to work with and had great recommendations of what to do on the island. We were 9 people total and the house has such great functional space on the top and bottom floors. 3 bathrooms and an outdoor shower - always a plus when you have 9 women! Very accessible and walkable to town which was so convenient for the dinners & activities we had planned. Great stay overall and will definitely be back!

Great New Year’s Even visit at the Nest!
My family has been going to Block Island for decades and this was our first stay at the Nest. We had a wonderful four night visit over New Year’s Eve. The house is very nice and as good, if not better, than the pictures show. Our two combined families of nine people fit very comfortably with room to spare. The location is convenient to town and beaches and provides a wonderful view from the large deck for sunsets. The check-in and check-out process was a breeze and the property owners were available and very responsive to any questions about the house during the stay. We highly recommend it.

A Break From the Madness
Sometimes a listing will exaggerate. Either by description, or by using cleverly crafted photos. Not so for this one. If anything, it was undersold. The accommodations were everything we wanted, needed, expected, and more.
There were nine of us all together. One short of the number planned due to the COVID related travel concerns of for a high risk family member. Even if that had not been the case, everyone would have had plenty of room in the house for reading, game play, conversation, and … you know … relaxation. That is, when we weren’t out enjoying what turned out to be a particularly good week to at the beach! As a runner, I would have liked the weather to have been a bit cooler. I was in the minority :-)
The house was easy to find, easy to get to and from, close enough to town to walk, and far enough away to feel remote. The bedrooms were spacious, and the beds were very comfy. Storage (closets, dressers, etc.) was more than adequate.
Did I mention it was a warm (and muggy) week? Well, the house has a split AC system that kept the interior cool and dry. The kitchen is nicely equipped for preparing nearly anything you might like. A blender found in the cupboard made the smoothie fans happy, and there was even a crock pot (that we didn’t use). Most of our evening meals were spent at the two picnic tables on the deck with terrific sunset views. We grilled nearly every night (and for a couple of lunches).
Lastly, Sara (the owner) was a pleasure to communicate and work with. Making sure her clients enjoy the property is clearly a priority. Many thanks to her.

Family Vacation
For our family of 11 we found the house an excellent fit. There was ample room for all of us, including a 5 year old, 3 year old and year old twins!
We loved the location and the trip into town and to the beaches was easy.
Our one wish would have been for a screen door on the slider leading to the deck to fully enjoy the beautiful breezes.

What a wonderful week!
What a wonderful week! Turkey Hollow is such a lovely spot on the island! We enjoyed dinners on the deck and morning coffee in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the lawn. The layout of the house is perfect for families and friends to spend time together - with enough room for everyone to spread out. The house decor is light and airy with lots of sunlight and beautiful views. Little things we appreciated: WiFi, AC, separate entrance to lower level, well appointed kitchen. Fun things to look for nearby: duck crossing, hidden golf course, trivia night at Club Soda. Thank you so much for a truly wonderful week!!

Spacious and updated house on the Block
My extended family and I rented The Nest at Turkey Hollow the first week in September and had a lovely stay. Upon arrival there were fresh flowers in the kitchen along with a bottle of wine and a welcome note which was a very nice gesture. Our party consisted of 2 couples and 2 singles, and the house offered ample space for all of us to spread out. The house is nicely updated, with everything you need in the kitchen and comfortable seating areas throughout. We enjoyed our coffee on the back deck every morning which overlooks the serene peace and quiet of the nature preserve, and in the evening were blown away by the incredible stargazing opportunities. Since the house is only 1 mile from Old Harbor it is very convenient, but it is worth noting that the house is located on a dirt road with no street lights which is not ideal for walking at night, but this did not hamper our stay at all. If you don't want to walk, taxis are readily available on the island. There were only 2 downsides: the lack of air conditioning & the proximity to the airport. We were lucky that it wasn't the hottest week during our stay, but it was close to 100% humidity every day making the house feel very damp (especially when trying to sleep at night). Also, the back deck faces the airport with small planes coming and going throughout the day. It can be a bit loud, but we all got used to it after a few days. Other than that, this house exceeded our needs and we will happily stay here again if A/C is added to the main and upper floors (note: currently, A/C is only available in the basement -- which is also a lovely & updated space separate from the main 2 floors).

Comfortable & Great Location
We rented “The Nest” with five other couples for a long weekend and truly wish that we could have stayed longer. The house very comfortably accommodated all 12 of us. Block Island is such a great island — offering so many different beaches, a great downtown area, restaurants, bars, and activities. And for a group without a car on the island, The Nest was perfectly centrally located in relation to all of the island’s hot spots. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing Space and location
I came for memorial day weekend with a few couples. We have been to block island a few times and were all looking for a relaxing time. We had a variety of personalities in the house where some were more interested in going downtown, some in riding bikes and scenery, and some just relaxing at the house. I was also 7 months pregnant so within the group hoping to have a space to head to bed early and not be disturbed. This house was PERFECT. 6 big rooms where each couple felt like they had their own space and we all felt like we could spread out, a quick 10 minute walk to town, and a beautiful view. The only thing we were surprised by that made no difference was the basement 2 rooms you had to walk outside to access. It worked out perfectly for us and we loved the house. We cant wait to come back next year.

Great house!
A group of us (adults and children) stayed at "The Nest" for two nights. We found the house to be very comfortable and convenient. It has a great common space for cooking, eating, and hanging out. The home owner was very helpful and responsive. And of course, Block Island is beautiful and peaceful getaway - not too built up or commercialized like so many other destinations. I highly recommend this rental!

This home is great! Has everything you need, with lots of room for everyone! Perfect location-only 1 mile to town and the beach. The 6 bedrooms are all spacious and inviting. The kitchen on the main floor and the kitchenette on the lower level were both well equipped and our families liked having the separate areas. All the decks on the house offer beautiful sunsets and we truly enjoyed our stay. We will be back again! Thank you!

Great stay!
My family and I had a great time. The house was beautiful and the views of the island were breathtaking. The house is super clean and really well laid out whether you have 4 people, or you have multiple families staying there all together. Everyone will have their privacy. We stayed in September and the owners responded right away to my call to bring my family out. They made it an easy experience and we can't wait to go back!

Clean, comfortable, quiet but close to town
Stayed here with a large group of family and friends. We had an amazing time. One of the best features was the two levels of living, it allowed each group to feel like they had their own space. Very convenient to get to from the ferry. House was clean including sheets (I'm picky about that!)
Couldn't believe the size of the back yard and surround nature preserve, didn't know BI had that much space!
Will definitely try to book again.
