Just WOW!

Nestled on top of a hill, the lodge boasts a stunning view of the Buffels Bay that added to its perfect blend of tranquility and thoughtful design. The size of the lodge was just right, creating a serene atmosphere for a relaxing vacation. Highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful retreat with beautiful surroundings. The culinary experience at the lodge was a highlight, with the chef Robin crafting marvelous dishes tailored specifically for us as guests. The meal was a delightful journey of flavors, showcasing the lodge's commitment to providing a personalized and memorable stay. Sam, the owner and hostess, truly elevated our experience. Her attentiveness to our needs and requests was exceptional, and her warm and cheerful demeanor made us feel right at home. Sam's insightful recommendations on nearby places and activities added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay. Her dedication to ensuring guests have a wonderful time is truly commendable.

Definitely one of the best, if not the best stay we've ever experienced.

Our stay at Alkira Lodge was PHENOMENAL. My husband and I visited for our honeymoon earlier this month and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful stay. Samantha, the property manager, was warm, attentive, exceptionally responsive, and overall ensured that our stay was top-notch. She event went as far to upgrade our room to one with an oceanside view to make our honeymoon that much more special. The staff, Prim/James/Chef Robyn were equally amazing. They were kind, honest (we accidentally dropped some money on the ground and it was returned), and were generally the prototype of customer service and the food was insane. Chef Robyn created some of the most delicious meals we've eaten. Even the owner, Andrew, went above and beyond to be kind and helpful. Our car battery died when we were about to head to dinner and not only did he try to assist with jumping the battery, he let us use his car so that we could grab a meal. Finally, SA is experiencing pretty severe load shedding which did not at all impact our stay because Alkira was fully prepared with solar panels and fully charged batteries. Our takeaway is that anyone who has an opportunity to stay at Alkira absolutely should. It is breathtakingly beautiful and offers 5-star service. Definitely one of the best, if not the best stay we've ever experienced.

There was nothing we didn't. Everything was amazing. Head's up that it's in the middle of a secluded wooded area, which added to the charm and beauty for us but if you're not into nature or a remote experience, do some additional research.

Alkira has the ultimate WOW factor. Amazing views, amazing interior , wonderful and perfect host Sam who welcomed us upon arrival with a cool glass of wine, chef Robyn prepared a delicious 3 course dinner on the first evening: we had 3 amazing days at Alkira and will definitely return!

The lodge is an archtitectural gem, with many different lounges and terraces, a breathtaking 360 view and a lot of privacy. Samantha and Gordon are the perfect hosts with a lot of passion, they are very helpfull to organize your stay. Beautiful sunsets, personalized service, tranquility, it's simply magic.

We had an unforgettable time at Alkira Lodge. The lodge is indescribably beautiful, the interior a highlight and Sam is a wonderful host. We had the opportunity to have dinner at the lodge one evening - head chef Robyn cooks at a very high level and conjured up a stunning menu. The lodge exudes so much tranquility and if you are looking for a feel-good place to relax and unwind, this is the place to be. Many thanks for the wonderful stay to Sam and the whole team!

The accommodation is just gorgeous! Both the location and the facilities and not to forget how warm Sam is to her guests. The breakfast was great and one evening we booked a dinner, which was really delicious. The power failure was not a problem, because the fireplace and the candles made it all the more cozy. Unfortunately, we had only booked 2 nights on our round trip on the Gardenroute and would have really liked to stay longer.

The most perfect of stays

One of the most stunning accomodations we ever stayed in, an amazing find on Booking. Just five rooms, plus a suite, and everything is just perfect. the tasteful furniture, attention to detail, the views, the breakfast, the personal service, the garden, the birds .... Our bathroom had both an amazing walk-in shower and a tube with jets, what a treat. Sam is a wonderful host, and she and her team made us feel more than welcome. The Lodge is situated with views both to the lagune and the ocean. It is quiet, seclusive and just the most fantastic place to recharge your batteries. There is a pool, and a jacuzzi, a TV Room, a bar, and we were lucky enough that an in-house dinner was held, the food was amazing. Really we cannot speak highly enough of Alkira Lodge and certainly hope to return at some stage.

Everything, it was literally perfect. Loved the house,the views,the privacy,the bar,the freedom...we had massages organized to be done in our room and they were affordable. Clean, Primrose always smiling and making sure we were comfy. It was such a dream. And we got upgraded to a suite,that was amazing.

The best place in the world, and I've been around a little bit.....

I love verything about this place, the staff is the best, Sam is the best host I've ever met, the location is the best, the view is the best, and above all, it is so safe, I slept with my doors open every night. Everything about this place is just what you see on the pictures, and more, just fantastic, and if you want to be private, you also have that 100%. I would never go to another place ever again if I go to that area, and would recommend everybody to go there and have the best time of your life, or rest or just relax. The food and wine is excellent as well. Thank you Alkira Lodge!!!
