Everything! I hated to leave. When we arrived the local on site manager was there and assisted me in getting the key as it was our first time. It was nice knowing that if we needed anything he was around. The area was quiet as described and close to the beach. I would say that we both enjoyed our stay, my dog was worn out everyday from all the fun she had. The local eateries we tried were outstanding! The people were wonderful! I have no complaints. Already booked for next year.
So leaving was the thing I disliked the most. I could complain about all the sand my dog brought to the car but seriously we had such a great time. The worst part of the stay was not having longer to stay. Nothing could have made our stay better.

Nice dog property fenced in. Cute and comfortable cottages. Great location easy to walk to OB and Sunset Cliffs.
Did not like the “Black lives matter, etc etc” signs on the property. Keep politics out of it because you end up pissing off half of your customers.

this property has an amazing location to the beach and restaurants. they are very dog friendly, very clean and a super easy check in process.

had specific parking spaces for each cabin, which was great since the streets were packed already. Tons of lighting and security cameras were present also. There's a huge area in the middle for BBQ and relaxing and grass for the pet run, even a bunch of towels to use for the beach and a Washer/dryer set to use.
Getting the TV to work was a bit clumsy, you need your own service password or something. Didnt matter; was too busy going outside anyways.

Great cottage very clean and fully equipped with everything you need. Quiet and peaceful area, but in the daytime planes fly overhead, but this did not bother us.
Two families with dogs lived in neighboring cottages. We also had a small dog that walked with us exclusively on a leash. The neighbors' dogs ran off leashes (each family has two dogs) and were very aggressive. One of the dogs attacked my dog, who is still a puppy of only 8.5 months and was not a very pleasant situation. The rest of the dogs were obsessive and completely uncontrollable, not obedient and not well-mannered, which jumped, constantly did not let them go to their cottage, barked, and the owners of these dogs reacted very detachedly and with great reluctance to take the dogs and even grinned and mocked. I would suggest introducing a regulation so that the dogs in the yard are on a leash, because all the dogs that were there were medium size + and not at all tame dogs.

The privacy
Some of the dishes were dirty. Bathroom was way small. Very warm and stuffy in the cottage.

Loved the location, assigned parking spot. Everything was spotless/clean. Austen was super nice and gave us recommendations about the area. It’s a dog friendly property and there’s lots of space for pups to run around. We had a great experience at Blue Heron Cottages and would love to come back!
Nothing that we disliked.
Only an idea: I think guests would really appreciate having shampoo/soap in the apartment. Not a big deal, but it would be a big plus!!

Just a great stay for dog owners. Great location. Nice cottage that met all needs. Friendly and helpful on-site managers. Highly recommend!
Water filter pitcher was not clean. WiFi was very busy and some delays at times.

The cottage is clean, quiet neighborhood, staff and management available and friendly. Really appreciated full kitchen and separate living room from bedroom. the patio area was peaceful, pretty and relaxing! 20 minutes from all main attractions in San Diego. dog friendly too!
