it made for the perfect New Orleans vacation

it was beautiful, the courtyard and the balcony made it feel very New Orleans, and in the perfect location, we could walk nearly everywhere we needed to around bourbon street, we had the perfect experience. the pride parade even came down right in front of our balcony!

parking was pretty far to walk with luggage

for the location and the price, I would book it all over again.

I really loved it’s convenient location and access. it was simple, uncomplicated and had all the necessities.

Bad housekeeping

Location was good. Bed was comfortable. Living area was comfortable.

I had no clue there would be construction going on when we booked. The workers were loud and yelling from 7:30 am until dark. We could not use the courtyard because of all the tools and materials. The hand soap bottle in the bathroom was empty and there was someone else's used towel and shirt hanging on the back of the bathroom door. There was no hairdryer. The carpet was not vacuumed and floors were not swept. The roll of paper towels in the kitchen were coffee stained at least half way through. The creamer container was almost empty and what was left of the sugar had coffee stains in it. There was a bottom fitted sheet on the bed, but no flat sheet, just the comforter. We almost couldn't get in the room because the latch on the outside shutter doors was stuck.

We loved the quiet private courtyard, the location and the authentic feel.

It is impossible to find anyone who actually works at the property if you need help with anything. no phone numbers, nothing.

All in all...great location, but the property needs work.

The location was perfect. It is right off Bourbon Street which makes it easy to walk anywhere within the French Quarters. I also liked that there was a little kitchenette with a mini fridge and microwave.

The property is just run down. It's obviously an older dwelling. However, it could be fixed up quite a bit. Also, the towels looked like they've hadn't been washed. They were black, and I still saw stains on them. The shower curtain was also pretty dirty, the tv didn't work and I was afraid to go barefoot in the room.

-close proximity to restaurants -courtyard and room gave it real old New Orleans feel

-outer wall was right on Boubon Street; very loud late at night -our room was first room after gated entrance; very loud late into the night (typical New Orleans 😊)

I can’t wait to come back to NOLA and stay at Bon Maison again!!

The house was beautiful and the location was the best ever!! The balcony was so fun! Key pick up and drop off was easy.

I was concerned about the balcony at first but it was fine.

Check in is wonderful but check out a nightmare especially at 445am, everything else is wonderful!

The property is very historic and quaint. The location is wonderful!

Had a difficult time checking out, no hotel people on property, tried sending a text to a number for help, but no reply. Had no choice but leave the keys in the room and lock the door. Sent several texts and finally talked to someone on the phone.

Once checked in I give it A+++ check in only issue.

Location is second to none. On Bourbon and easily accessible

The check in. Every email said 2 pm. I asked if early check in was possible and said no, which I accept. Totally. They Said 3 om I stead of 2 like was stated in contract. That is what was unacceptable. I spoke with Chuck who put his employees in their place and I was in by 210. I will continue to use Bon Maison as my preferred stay as it's everything anyone would want in the quarter. Maybe new employees would fix it, or employees work a bit harder.

Great little hide-a-way in the heart of NOLA. Do not arrive before 3 pm.

The room was small but it was so much better than we expected. Perfect size for the few days we were there and the kitchenette was nice and easy to use. The location was perfect for night life and ease to local shops. As the room was in the back of the property there was little street noise so we were able to get sleep.

Received multiple emails saying that we could collect the room key at 2 pm. As We arrived at the property at noon, due out our international flight arrival time, we knew we would need to wait to get the key. However, was very upset when we tried the electronic key box, it stated the key could not be collect before 3 pm. The key box was very difficult to use and when leaving the property the morning we departed they sun obscured the screen and took us 20 mins to get the key returned. Recommend a new method to key collection and drop off. Key collection and drop off were the only issue we had with this property.

It has character!

Great location, right in the French Quarter. Relatively quiet considering the location on Bourbon. Spacious room, air con works great. The courtyard is lovely and quiet. Key pickup is straight forward, nice to have own fridge etc

Upon arrival we had to wait an extra hour to check in and once we had the toliet didn't work. That was unfortunate for both us and the hosts, and after quite a few hours! of back and forth with mantience we got moved to another room for a couple nights. Just a note that it did feel like a delay in communication between on site staff (Terry) and the owner in charge. It's a good place as long as you're not expecting the cleanest of places. It needs TLC in Room B but room D was lovely. but we were prepared for that really. There was random stuff in our room that Terry found and took photos of unprompted which we appreciate. He then recleaned our room which was very kind. It's definitely a place to sleep and eat and then head out for the day.

Great location, terrible room.

Great location, very close to laundry, bars and restaurants.

Room was dirty - trash hadn't been taken out from the previous occupants. The inside window of the microwave was splashed with food. My room had (huge) cockroaches and flies. I was perhaps unlucky to stay in Room B, that's the room closest to the street at street level (no windows or balcony). Room aircon dripped directly onto the bed.

Not what we expected grounds were not kept up brooms and boxes in the walkway etc just not kept up well no parking had to leave car all night in a tourist parking lot

The area was very quiet and relaxing. The balcony was great to watch people walk by and enjoy the atmosphere.

The doors are hard to close for the bathroom in the 2 bedroom apartment.

Go elsewhere for the money

The room was spacious bed was large. Location is in a quieter part of bourbon street.

We stayed 8 nights. The room is rough and in need of some maintenance. Shower and bathroom was worn. Plaster coming away, showerhead and faucets were covered in heavy limescale. The room WAS NOT serviced once by house keeping during our time. I messaged management to ask for the towels to be changed after a few days. They said they would but this never happened. This left the room smelling damp, as the towels could not properly dry in an enclosed room with no windows and the AC on. As well as you will see in our photos with not been serviced the bins were never emptied. Talking to other guests their rooms were similar and had not seen housekeeping either.

all in all, a great location, but expected better upkeep.

location was great. key pick up/drop off was seamless.

entry and courtyard could be kept up better. store random supplies and tools in a closet instead of stacked at stairwell. spring mattress has failed springs. upgrade for better night sleep. post quiet hours for neighbors and guests, explain how courtyards amplify sound.

Very Nice!

The location was great. We did not expect a big room. We got what we expected. It was comfortable and had a lot of amenities for the size of the room and the location. Amazed how creative they are in making it all fit. Kind of like a tiny home! lol
