Sociable, warm, and very convenient. Perfect for solo travellers

- Brian and his staff were incredibly friendly and thoughtful throughout - The location was ideal to be in the middle of Hongdae, 5-minute walk away from the closest tube station which can take you pretty much anywhere you want to go in the city. Lots of good restaurants and bars around to try - The kitchen and living room area was nice, and the free breakfast was great - The rooms were very clean, and the showers were perfect

- The mattresses were a little thin and uncomfortable, and the bunk beds shook a lot when either person got in/out of them, or moved around at all

Amazing stay in excellent location.

Brian was amazing host. The hostel’s private tour to DMZ was something unforgettable.

Would stay here again

Excellent location, the shared bathroom was quite clean, common area was really cozy and a great place to hang out.

I have reached out to them regarding late check in and have not received a response until very late, and almost didn’t get the codes for the doors on time. Also, you could hear everything that was happening in the hallway. Otherwise everything was fine.

The only place I’ll ever stay in Seoul from now on!

The best hostel experience I’ve ever had! Brian is an exceptional host - he really goes above and beyond. He provided a super helpful map & guide immediately on arrival, he helped with the bags, even assisted in booking a taxi for us; he remembers every detail and really cares about you and your trip! The guesthouse itself had a great atmosphere and felt extremely safe - great shared spaces for meeting new people. Location was awesome, very central to busy shops, bars, markets, restaurants and a 5 min walk from the metro. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you’d need and breakfast facilities every morning were great! The dorm room was clean, comfy and a good size; it also had lockers, a water cooler, hairdryer and shower amenities. The entire place was spotless.

Not a single bad word to say about my experience - the only problem is that now every other accommodation I stay in will let me down because the bar has been set so high!

Great hostel in university area

Great staff, good location for those who like party and food with a good connection to the airport and city centre. Nice practical details in the hostel made my stay very convenient.

Brian went out of his way to organise an amazing tour to the DMZ ! The tour was informative and interesting. The hostel also has free breakfast and is a great area

super hostel to be when in Seoul

the hostel is super well organized. we tool private rooms with bathrooms which were as described. Very clean. beds were super confirtsble for us as we like hard ones. the area is not in the center center but has a great connection and hostel is close to the metro. Also the area is full of bars and restaurants. Full of young people. But the hostel is protected from any noise. The owner is also super nice and took us to the barbecue one night and also he can help you with anythings. He speaks great english too!

Location is great， staff is very friendly and they would help carrying luggage upstairs, There is no elevator if you stay in 2nd or 3rd floors

They accept credit card but with an additional 5% extra charge of the room price.Sure to have enough cash before check in.

Great stay

Great location, facilities in the guest house are good, the room was very big - we could finally open all our big suitcases at once! :) We really appreciated the private balcony.

Sound proofing is low so better have ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper

Very good

The location is very good, in a very lively neighborhood but still quiet. The breakfast was fair and enough. The terrace was pretty nice to meet other travelers and have some drinks before going out.

I book a private room, and I ended up having a room with 3 beds and a private bathroom on the outside, not bad but I would have preferred a queen bed instead of 3 single beds and the bathroom inside. The bathroom door lock got stuck and I couldn't use it until Brian got to fix it.

Great place for solo-travelers!

The location is amazing! Super close to Hongdae main street and very conveniently located next to Hongik University station (especially to go/come back to Incheon and Gimpo airports by train). The hostel is cozy enough and the staff is super friendly too. There are organized tours and Korean BBQs nights each week if there are enough people wanting to join too. It obviously depends on the other people who are staying at the same time at the hostel, but the guests were also very easy-going when we met at breakfast time. Some hanged out with each other in the city later on, so it’s a great place for solo-travelers. Definitely recommend it!

Friendly & fun environment

Brian went above & beyond as a host - when we asked for restaurant suggestions, he guided us to them himself & ordered for us, and even at times joined us :) I was able to meet a lot of wonderful people at Bunk which made my trip enjoyable

The room is inexpensive and cost effective.

Location is good and convenient. The host is nice. Also, breakfast are provided which will be good for minimum budget travellers.🤣

I felt a little bit itchy after sleeping on the bed. Maybe more cleaning for bed is needed.

Exceptional

There is a lot to like about Bunk Guest House. The location is fantastic and very easily accessible. Everything is at a short walking distance, even the local party scene. I was in a mixed 6 person room, which was as expected and even more. The room, the bed and the shared facilities were all very well kept and clean. I meet very friendly people and the whole environment felt more like being at a friends house rather then a hostel. And Brian, the owner and probably the first person who will greet you, is extremely friendly and caring about his guest. Always willing to help in any way he can.

Lovely place run by a great host!

The host, Brian, is really friendly and welcoming! He makes the effort to remember the names of his guests and is really helpful. The location is great with lots to eat and shop for around, and near the train station too. Really great place to stay and make friends~

Great place to socialize with a feel at home atmosphere.

We loved the assistance of the host Brian. He was always willing to help and gave us the best local recommendations. Furthermore the hostel is really cute and has a nice common area. The central location in Hongadae is perfect for exploring the young and vibey area with lots of shops and bars and clubs nearby.

What can i say... staying in this hostel is an experience on its own! Brian made our experience in Seoul amazing!
