Beautiful gem that could do with a polish to bring it back up to its best.

Very cute room. Beautiful setting. Pool with loads of greenery around, small oasis.

Needed attention to details. Few areas are looking tired, bought to owners attention and they were very keen to repair. Cleaning in the bathroom really needed attention. This was brought to hosts attention and was resolved during our stay. Very good reaction to our issues and concern to make our stay perfect.

Prettig verblijf maar geen 4 sterren waard

De douche was de beste van alle 5 de logeeradressen, heerlijk. Heel aardige eigenaar en gastheer. We hadden een ruime kamer.

Ik heb lang getwijfeld of ik een beoordeling zou schrijven omdat iedereen zulke fantastische beoordelingen geeft. Wij delen dat niet: De tuin is voor ons echt te veel verwilderd en zou naar ons idee flink gesnoeid kunnen worden (kwestie van smaak, anderen vinden het een prachtige oase). Flink mijn hoofd gestoten aan een dikke overhangende tak. Het geheel oogde achterstallig voor ons. De foto's op Booking.com en de eigen website van het guesthouse komen niet meer overeen met de huidige situatie. Ik vind het guesthouse echt geen 4 sterren waard. We hadden de kamer boven met balkon maar daar moesten ook de naaste buren overheen, dat vinden wij geen prive balkon. ' s Ochtends wakker worden, de deuren en gordijnen open doen, dat deden we dus niet want dat voelde niet prive omdat de buren langs konden lopen. Bovendien dunne wand tussen de kamers waardoor we de buren hoorden praten en snurken.

Het hotel is een groene oase in de stad en heeft een hele fijne sfeer. De hosts zijn super vriendelijk en het persoonlijke contact sprak ons erg aan! Echt een aanrader.

Top verblijf in een oase middenin de stad.

De b&b is een oase middenin in de stad. Heerlijke tuin met zwembad waar het ontbijt wordt geserveerd. Ruime kamer en groot 2 pers bed en heerlijk groot balkon. Je waant je op Bali. Tino en David zijn hele goede gastheren, super vriendelijk en altijd klaar met een gulle lach! Verder ligt het super centraal, in 10 min in de Waterfront en ook 10 min naar Camps bay. Een echte aanrader!

AMAZING AMAZING! 🌴🌿🧡

It's a true oasis in the middle of Capetown, close to everything, yet quiet and relaxed in a safe neighborhood. There are only 4 rooms so it feels very cozy and private. Rooms are nice with a comfy bed and great shower. Also the terraces and pool is a plus.. Every morning there is this lovely fresh breakfast with a lot of choises. But most importantly; the staff. David & Tino make this place an 11 out of 10. And make you feel at home. Every morning we had a chat about what to do, what to see, where to eat and other things. Thank you guys for making our stay so memorable. We are coming back for sure and highly recommend it!!

Lovely property and wonderful welcoming team

We had a lovely stay at Cape Standard. Both Tino and Paddington were so helpful and always had a smile on their face. They went out of their way to help when our suitcases didn’t arrive with us and also suggested and made dinner reservations for us. The property was really peaceful, a lovely place to arrive after a long journey and rooms nice and comfy. You could walk to the waterfront (about 20 mins, only in day time) but it was also very easy and affordable to get Uber, which we did every evening we went out. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Incredibly hospitable & wonderful staff, lovely small guesthouse nestled amongst the trees in a great location in the city without feeling you are in the city. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a home away from home.

Topplek voor een paar dagen Kaapstad

Paddington en Tino zijn fantastische gastheren, ze zijn altijd enthousiast en in voor een praatje of om je ergens bij te helpen, ook via WhatsApp. De kamer is netjes net als de tuin met zwembad waar het ontbijt wordt geserveerd en de locatie is lekker centraal om Kaapstad te verkennen.

De kamer is wel wat gehorig

Fantastisch verblijf bij Cape Standard

De kamers zijn gezellig en cape standard voelt echt rustig aan midden in een toch drukke stad. Daarnaast was het warme welkom en de vriendelijkheid van Tino en Paddington iets waardoor je je meteen thuis voelt. De heerlijke ontbijtjes zijn een perfecte start van je dag in Kaapstad!

Great and spacious place with an amazing view and a very relaxing atmosphere. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Fantastic breakfast, felt like a feast just for me!

Super nice

It’s perfect for people who appreciate cozy stays rather than mass tourism hotels. The bed mattress was super comfortable, the room always clean, and the hosts super kind and friendly. We felt safe and well taken care of. Good breakfast, too! And we loved how green it felt thanks to the outdoor space.

great place to be based for exploring Cape Town!

the guesthouse is in a great location with on site parking and a short distance from all main attractions around Cape Town, we used Uber to also get around and most rides were only £2. the staff are amazing, very accommodating and happy to help with anything. they were also able to suggest some fantastic restaurant recommendations and make the reservations for us. we couldn’t fault the breakfast at all, it was absolutely delicious! would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

It is a hidden gem in Cape Town. 100% recommended for you stay in Greenpoint Area. Tino and Paddington make you feel at home and are there for their guests all the time! They are absolutely hospitality pros! You will love the atmosphere they have created in every way.

Fantastic!

Location is great and central. We had a car so it was easy to get around. Paddington and Tino were so sweet, and always offered to help out with anything from making a reservation to questions about the city! They made you feel like you were home. Breakfast was very solid and you got fresh eggs which was very nice.

A little slice of heaven in the city. The name Cape ‘standard’ doesn’t do it justice. It should be Cape ‘amazing’

We loved the friendliness of the staff, who were very attentive and helpful. The room was spacious and well appointed; we liked having a fridge and tea making facilities. Also the shower was AMAZING 🤩

Fantastic weekend stay

Best hotel in Cape Town

The property is beautiful in a very residential and safe area (Green Point) with a lovely swimming pool and outdoor seating area. What made our stay particularly exceptional was Tino and Paddington’s hospitality. They organised various tours for us, found and booked several restaurants for us and were always willing to answer all our questions and give us countless recommendations.
