Superb, very clean cottage, in a tranquil location, within a short distance of lovely mountains. Handy shop and pub nearby. Lovely back garden and sunny, warm porch.

Beautiful setting. Comfortable cottage with lots of character & very accommodating hosts. Has everything you need for your stay. Its a real little gem. We really enjoyed our turf fire.. Brought back lots of memories.You won't be disappointed. Perfect place to relax or base yourself for traveling around.

It was a very well stocked with a beautiful welcoming basket. The children loved gathering the eggs for breakfast and picking blackcurrants from the garden. The property was very clean with sanitiser and some masks provided. The beds were very comfortable. It also had great WiFi. There is a Centra shop is within 5mins walk to top up on your food. With temperatures hitting 30C nationwide this old cottage with its thick walls provided a cool sanctuary from the scorching heat.
As it's an old house the plumbing was a bit noisy.

Hawthorn Cottage is beautiful a little peace of tranquility. A hidden gem of peace & relaxation. Beautifully decorated. Very very clean
Well stocked with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Catriona is an excellent host, a very lovely lady, very welcoming & friendly. The cottage was cosy & fresh , a beautiful welcome of fresh produce, home baking & wine was laid out on the kitchen table for us to enjoy. The very healthy Hens provided us with fresh eggs each morning & fresh strawberries grew along the edge of the back garden stone wall.
The people in the village are very friendly & helpful when we took a wrong turn. The scenery is beautiful. A very relaxing chilled time.
There is a well stocked Centra shop within walking distance & a pub just opposite the shop. Omagh is just a 15-20minute drive away.
It is well worth a visit & we would absolutely return.

Catriona's warm welcome and her lovely surprise of wine, chocolates, fresh wheaten bread and, thanks to the hens, just-laid eggs.

We loved staying in this beautiful cottage. We most loved the decor, the very comfortable beds, the books and my boys loved the ability to collect fresh eggs from the chickens for breakfast. Catriona left us a supper of wheaten bread, jam, cakes and bottle of wine which was a delightful surprise when we arrived.
We loved everything about the cottage and had a lovely time there with our children and slept really well.
We explored the stunning local area, including the Ogham stone, An creagan centre and Gortin lakes and forest.
The local shop is good and is within walking distance.
We couldn't fault it.

It was a treat to stay in the cottage. It was so beautifully decorated and we felt Catriona went out of her way to make our stay an enjoyable one. It was very relaxing with lots of great books to read !

The decor, space, warmth, fresh eggs, homemade weaten bread, fire with all the necessary bits and bobs, really generous coal and heating allowance, which was really appreciated in the zero temperatures. Thank you.
Maybe could do with a few more knives and a couple of extra cooking utensils but that's being really picky!
