All, excellent service feels like home. Very friendly everyone. Food was the best . I just love it. Every things was so fresh. Sea food was just WOW. Beautiful beach 🏝️ Room was just on the beach. Perfect breakfast. Morning there served in case if you want king coconut with lime juice just love it. Lot of things to visit around.

Die Unterkunft liegt an einem sehr schönen, ruhigen Strand mit leichtem Wellengang. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in unserem kleinen Hüttchen. Bei der Unterkunft leben viele, sehr liebe Hunde die uns morgens schon begrüßt haben und mit mir den Strand entlang spaziert sind.
Am Strand der NachbargrundstĂĽcke liegt leider viel MĂĽll, wenn man jedoch mal eine Stunde MĂĽll einsammelt kann das Wunder bewirken.
Mandy ist eine großartige Gastgeberin, wir haben die zwei Tage bei ihr geliebt. Sie ist offen und herzlich, wir haben die Gespräche mit ihr sehr genossen. Danke für alles, ich hoffe wir sehen uns wieder!
Wir waren in der OffSeason in Trincomalee, weshalb es besonders ruhig war. Leider ist Pigeon Island da jedoch gesperrt.

This place is a real treasure! It is literally right on a beautiful strip of Nilaveli beach and feels so relaxing. Mandy and her team are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. I will definitely stay here again and can highly recommend it!

Magnificent location, right on a beautiful beach really great for swimming and sunrises. Outstanding food, really friendly and helpful hostess Mandy who makes you feel totally at home. Great place to meet other traveller's. Cabin was basic but had super comfy bed and even A/C and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was pure magic! Loved the cows on the beach too. One of my favourite stays in Sri Lanka!
Food orders take 40 mins to an hour , so don't wait til you are hungry to order! Amazing food though so worth the wait. Cabin could do with a little TLC, but I loved it anyway!! Rubbish on the beach nearby was off putting.

Our favourite place in Sri Lanka! Mandy is a wonderful host and made us feel at home right away. The hotel is located on a pristine bit of beach slightly away from the busier Nilaveli and Uppuveli beaches, which was perfect for us. We also organised a trip to Pigeon Island from just outside the hotel, which was an highlight. Our room was lovely and comfortable with a gorgeous sea view, and the dinner was exceptional. We hope we can come back one day!

We loved our stay here! The location is perfect - right on a stunning beach with gentle waves & the water is the perfect temperature. Just a short walk to some great bars & restaurants. Mandy was an amazing host who was always up for a chat & a laugh & was super helpful arranging tours or transport etc. We highly recommend!
Nothing we didn’t like but be aware the amenities are pretty basic - if you are looking for luxury this might not be for you. The property is comfortable and clean & very relaxed.

Mandy and the team at Moon Isle Beach Bungalow are like a family and made us feel completely at home. The location is unbeatable - it's paradise! And the food is amazing, freshly cooked, authentic Sri Lankan. Really hope we'll be able to return one day.

Maybe due to the price slightly higher than similar stays in Sri Lanka, it might take a minute to fall in love with Moon Isle upon arrival. However, you’ll soon realize than you’ve landed in a corner of paradise. The location is amazing, right on a private beach in the best area of Nilaveli, with crystal clear water. Mandy and her staff will soon make you feel at home, caring and looking after you the whole time. Rooms are cozy and clean, with perfectly working a/c. The food is amazing, better than any top rated restaurant in the area. They also have a diving center on the property, and the staff there is amazing and qualified. Moon Isle is the perfect place to relax and lose track of time. We will be back!

We had a lovely stay at Moon Isle Beach Bungalow. This beautiful hide-away accomodation lays on the stunning beach of Nilaveli with direct view on Pigeon Island. The owners and their staff are the best! So friendly and helpfull, and they serve very good food (and drinks :)) for breakfast, lunch and diner. They can arrange boattrips to see whales/dolphins and Pigeon Island, we also rented a scooter to explore the environment on land. We definitly hope to come back some day!

We had a lovely stay at the beach cabana. The owner amanda is so friendly and helpfull with everything! The staf ladies are so kind. The food was delicious the best so far for me in Sri Lanka. Especcialy the coconut sambal. The location is perfect right on the beach. Some hammocks in the tree. Yes we loved it and will come back some day!

the best stay in Sri Lanka for us! not only the location is perfect (with ocean view and blue ocean water in front of your room) but also the hosts and the homemade Sri Lankan food they serve are amazing!! definitely something i would recommend to my friends. yes, it’s even worth it when low season on the east coast.

This place is a little paradise! You wake up directly at your private beach. The room is big, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is clean and there's air condition. The house itself is so pretty and decorated beautifully. It looks just like the pictures, or even better:)
Mandy, the host, is such a sweetheart and gave us so many tips. They organized a privat boat pick-up to pigeon Island and borrowed us snorkeling equipment.
The food they offer (besides breakfast you can order lunch/dinner/snacks/dessert anytime) is freshly home cooked and very delicious. So you don't even have to leave the place to look for food, which we really enjoyed since we visited in December (which is not season).
We even had a little candlelight dinner right on the beach, which was so romantic and nice.
Would highly recommend going there, if you are looking want some relaxing beach days!

The guesthouse is situated in the most idyllic spot of Nilaveli beach. Location is one of the best for both sunrise and sunset if you are a sea lover. Mandy (the host) and the rest of the staff were amazing. The food was fantastic and one of the best we had in Sri Lanka. The room was spacious (huge bathroom) and the bungalow was really comfortable.
You can expect some insects in the room since it is located in between the jungle and the sea but this cannot ruin the experience at all.

Stunning bungalow perfectly located on a beautiful private beach. Relax in the hammocks. Sleep to the roaring waves. Enjoy the best Sri Lankan fish curry ever. Amazing stress-free snorkelling on Pigeon Island then dolphin watching straight from our doorstep. Mandy is amazingly kind and fun, and together with her team of helpers nothing was too much trouble. Two nights was far too short and we’d love to return another time

Fantastic location right on the beach. The accommodation is comfortable with no frills. Amanda the wonderful manager and owner of the property made sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The food cooked by her chef Indrani was delicious and we always felt at home. On the whole it was a great vacation at moon isle and we hope to go back in the future.

It is probably the best beach location in Sri Lanka, Not spoilt, pristine. Ideal place if one wants to be one with nature, not for those who are fussy about facilities associated with 3 star plus hotels.

Mandy is a wonderful person who was really making sure that I feel like home here. She arranged everything I asked for, even what I did not ask for actually, she just figured it out! :) She and her staff made amazing meals and even invited me for dinner once with her friends. It was a great homestay type experience, after a fews days I felt I have been here for weeks already.
The house has a wonderful untouched private beach which is really calm and quiet. Close to Memo's Bar where you can find great meals.
It's a homestay and embedded to the nature so you will experience a bit more presence of various animals in and around the house what I personally found always comfortable. But this is part of a place like this!
