Good life at The Good Life.

Great location, proximity to the airport.Quiet. Easy access to public transport. I can easily change from the daytime hustle in town to a quiet peaceful atmosphere on my schedule. A home away from home. Security of the premises.

Home.away from home

The house was very clean and comfy. Just like home away from home. My kids enjoyed the space as they had their own rooms and they especially liked swimming in the pool.

Disappointed

Layout of bungalow is good and virtually next door to the Barbados Golf club which has a very good bar and restaurant. Exceptional friendly staff there. The owner of the bungalow, Soraya, answered all our questions promptly. It is directly on a bus route and transportation to the coast is easy. The air conditioning and fans kept the property cool. Excellent washing machine and drying facilities. Gardener and pool maintenance man both attended during our stay.

In none of the reviews on this property was there a mention that it is situated next to a busy noisy road and also about 100 yds away from a bar that has music blasting out on a Saturday night until 1.30 am and Wednesday nights until 11 pm. Also a nearby property had 2 dogs running loose in their garden 24 hours a day barking at anything that moved. We rarely had an uninterrupted night's sleep in the 16 days that we were there. We spoke to neighbours who also found it noisy but apparently nothing is able to be done by the local community. I'm sorry to say that all though the beds were comfortable enough the rest of the furniture wasn't. Including the garden chairs and loungers. Overall impression was that everything was tired. Superficially clean but not clean enough. Loads of hair on the bathroom floor from previous visitors and quite dusty on dining chairs, windows and wall pictures. I do think that hiring a car is advisable as it is difficult to get to many parts of the island without one.

THE GOOD LIFE - A Place to remember!!!

I spent a wonderful month at this property and I can honestly say there was nothing I did not like about this lovely home. Initially I was only booking for the quarantine period as it was still in place at the time of me finding this gem, however once the quarantine was removed I opted to stay here for my whole stay due to the space and facilities it offered. Truly a home from home with ample space for myself, partner and two 2yrs young toddlers. My babies turned 2yrs on the day of our arrival and I requested prior to coming to see if some decorations could be put up for our arrival, this was done with no issues. Firstly the garden is a god send, plenty space for the kids (with supervision for smaller kids), space to dine outside, relax, sunbathe, and the pool! Great facilities provided, cooker/oven, utensils, washing machine, towels, bedding, and AC in bedrooms etc. Our host Soraya was always on hand for any queries, a real pleasure liaising with via WhatsApp before and during our stay. We had a rental, however the location is perfect for those who don’t have transport, with local buses and ZR/taxis passing daily. The apartment can get quite warm/hot, which during our stay we experienced this and our host had already arranged for the installation of a new ceiling fan which was a lovely touch. Another fan we had just stopped working and it was quickly replaced, with our host arranging a new one to be dropped off. Overall it was a pleasure to stay here, with great memories, great service and communication throughout when required, we will most definitely be back!

Nothing, however a BBQ would have been a great addition!

Exceptional

The property was exactly has described on site. There was 6 of us staying here. All bedrooms are doubles, with the master having a ensuite. Aircon in all bedrooms. Property was clean and all utilities were provided for. Location was excellent, we were in Durants and virtually next door to the golf course. Oistins was a 6 minute ride away from the property. The bus stop is literally at the side of the house, because of this we never hired a car and used the local bus services, and taxis when needed. The host was excellent with providing information on where to go and things to do. There was a detailed bus route pinned up in the home. All question or queries were met and dealt with on the spot. We could not fault the service provided by the host. We would highly recommend the good life for your holiday vacation, you will not be disappointed with this home. We will definitely be going back.

Superb

Our staying în barbados proved to be a pleasent experience thanks to Mrs... that give us all the details and answered to our many questions. The house was the perfect acomodation for us having 3 bedrooms and 2 sanitary groups. The living area provided extra couches ( comfortable to sleap also ) and pleanty of space to reunite us for a chat / eating or watching TV. The kitchen was equiped with the need it tools to preparare a breakfest/ dinner . Fast internet and not very far from mami Beach wich was very nice. We enjoyed also the backyard were the grass was neetly cut.

Superb location and place.

Superb location, easy access to public transportation. The interior is spotless, very comfortable and welcoming. Soraya is very considerate and thoughtful. She's the BEST! I'll definitely recommend anyone to stay here and for sure, I'll be back in the near future. Sincerely, satisfied customer

The interior of the house, the cleanest of the house, and The location, very easy access to transportation. . . .

I have no complaints, everything was great, I felt very safe and comfortable. My sister and I plan to stay at The Good Life when we return.
