Shocking service

Shocking service. Booked this caravan as a lovely weekend stay for me, my partner and two young children. Arrived at 6pm on the Friday that we started the booking from. To be greeted with someone already using the caravan. Rang booking.com to be told that the owners have double booked with myself and someone privately and that I was attempted to be contacted that same day at 2.30pm to tell me of this. Already on our way to the caravan at this time. To then be told that all they can suggest is I book a hotel for the night. This not being possible for us as our 5 year old son has additional needs and was set on the caravan holiday he was so looking forward to. Unbelievably shocking service. 1- to take my money and not deliver the service. 2- for contact to only be made on that same day to make us aware of this, once annual leave has already been wasted from work and children very let down and upset.

would have been a lovely place to stay if it included the wifi as advertised.

the location of the caravan very accessible

the fact that it was advertised with internet but on arrival the internet was down and after contacting host who advised me that there was a dongle to use which when tried could not connect the host then said we could use the main reception area but with an elderly parent i explained this was not an option. After the stay i emailed the host but still have not received any reply.

Good time,good location,more care neede by owner regarding general maintaince of holiday lodge.

The location,facilities and lodge were all of agood standard,as we were a family with young children (ages 6 months and 3 yrs)it was avery safe enviroment to stay.

We had an issue with the boiler in lodge,so arrived to no hot water or heating not ideal start to our stay. After a few frantic phonecalls sites emergency gas fitters came to our aid to resolve the problem.

Lovely and Homely

The Lodge was lovely and homely, very clean and had everything you needed. Bedding and towels were there to use so saved us carrying our own. Really spacious, bright and airy. Shame when we stayed it was very wet and cold because the outside seating area looks lovely for when its warmer to enjoy the sunshine. Lovely touch of towels presented with chocs on the beds and teas/coffees for when you arrive. Our family had an enjoyable relaxing stay and would definatly book again

The staff were very helpful the lodge was really nice

It was freezing in the lodge when we landed in fact it was warmer outside The bed was too soft but that's a personal choice
