Toller Zwischenstopp auf unserer Reise Richtung Yosemite Park. Danke an den super freundlichen Inhaber. wir haben uns se

der Charme des Hotels und der Inhaber war total Herzlich und freundlich. Im Erdgeschoss gab es jeder Zeit Tee und Kaffee und zum Frühstück leckere Muffins umsonst. In einem großen Kühlschrank konnte man seine persönlichen Lebensmittel kühlen.

Ein Kleiner Tip: eine Ablage in der antiken Badewanne für Shampoo, etc. wäre schön. Man wusste nicht, wo man seine Sachen abstellen soll.

Fantastic stay in a unique and welcoming property!

Rarely do I take the time to review properties but we loved Hotel Charlotte! The owners were so kind, helpful and welcoming. A lovely, historic, and genuine hotel. Close to Yosemite and Hetch Hetchy Reservoir. Thoroughly enjoyed drinks over at the Iron Door Saloon talking to locals too. Excellent value for money!

Welcoming, cozy and pet friendly.

The staff was welcoming, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy. The staff was attentive and helpful - we looked forward to our conversations with them.

The beds were a little stiff.

El hotel se encuentra en un pueblo nada más salir de Yosemite. Las habitaciones son limpias y muy acogedoras, con una decoración detallista y una atención por parte del personal (tanto del hotel como del bar) excelente. Disponen de parking gratuito, así como de un bar con mesas tanto en el interior del hotel como en un jardín en la zona de atras, con buen ambiente, cervezas artesanales y comida de buena calidad.

Precio discretamente elevado aunque asumible por su buena ubicación y atención al cliente.

What a nice little hotel. Yes it’s an older property and with that come some issues, but as long as you keep that in mind going in you’ll be satisfied with your stay. All of the staff we met were exceedingly friendly, thanking us for staying at every turn. And the food. We have some finicky and hard to please folks in our family but by the time our dinner was over all that were left were smiles and empty plates. We stayed in adjoining rooms 1 and 3, separated by a Jack n Jill bathroom in between and that worked great. Clawfoot tub with a shower that had good water pressure and heated well, refreshing after a day of hiking. There are individual faucets in each of the rooms. AC worked well and is relatively quiet. We stayed there to hike Hetch Hetchy and the location works well for that. Lots to eat nearby and good coffee shops in the area as well. Hit up Kevin and Randi’s if they’re open for some killer sandwiches. No charge amenities in the lobby for guests included a Keurig with both regular and decaf coffee, a tea station, full-size guest refrigerator, and some delicious muffins in the morning.

If you’re going to Yosemite Valley it may be a touch on the too far side, especially with 120 into the Valley currently closed.

A jewel just outside the Yosemite National Park

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was basic, but it was great that there was kettles for hot water and a communal fridge to store food in. Staff were very friendly and location was close enough to Yosemite and a stone's throw distance to the Iron Door Saloon (pub & restaurant).

Excellent accommodations (and price) for a family.. could use some tweaks to make the rooms more use

The hotel was very clean, the bed (and linens) very comfortable, and the owners very accommodating

The hotel did not serve breakfast and there were very few places to eat in the town. What we did have at the Groveland Hotel was basically inedible Biggest negative of our stay

Perfect place to stay when heading to Yosemite

So cozy, fantastic ambiance, loved the restaurant as we entered the hotel. We were so happy with the food & drinks & dessert were all delicious . I’ll definitely return the next time we’re in Groveland, heading to Yosemite.

Beautiful old hotel close to Yosemite

Such a gorgeous little gold rush era property. We loved the charm of an old hotel- rooms renovated tastefully to include ensuites. a fantastic location close to Yosemite and with good parking behind the building. Muffins, fruit, tea and coffee available for a quick breakfast.

The perfect stay just outside Yosemite

Absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Charlotte. It's in such a pretty little town. Make sure to check out their restaurant as well, the food was outstanding!

a step back in time fun adventure.

it was quaint as well as historic. I loved the laid back atmosphere and simplicity of the whole operation.

no air conditioning that i could tell…. we happened to go on a cool night and could open windows.

Not a bad place to stay for Yosemite

Lovely old style hotel in a nice small town. Friendly reception and hotel clean

No food, bar closed on our arrival night. Stayed for 2 nights but room not cleaned during stay. Stayed room 7 and the TV was mounted in the most unusual place!?

Cute historic hotel with friendly staff in a beautiful location!

Cute historic building with comfortable rooms. Checking in and out was a smooth process. Hotel & tavern staff were super friendly and accommodating! We enjoyed relaxing in the beer garden out back, where board games were available to borrow. We only stayed one night but would definitely return for a longer stay!

Muffins were a bit smaller than I expected, but I really can't complain too much about complimentary breakfast items :)

Very warm welcome, nice traditional hotel with a good feeling to it. Big bathtub a plus. Muffins for breakfast tasty.

The jacuzzi in the bathtub was broken (which was noted at the wall).

a most friendly stay for when the parks are built up.

the staff were fantastic. the bar and restaurant friendly and good value. the free muffins and breakfast set up was perfect for morning hikes.

the bedrooms are very tired.

Pleasant 1900’s flashback

Nicely maintained historic hotel with ambience. All the staff we interacted with were very nice. Finn, the owner, very personable and really wants your stay to be the best it can be. Food in the on-site tavern was very good. They have a beer garden newly installed in the back that was very popular. Free parking and no extra charges such as resort fees.

There’s nothing to complain about. You do have to like this type of historical hotel and corresponding decor. It’s definitely not modern.
