Location is phenomenal. Close to the ocean, amazing view, toilets and showers (shared) are clean. Playground in site and very friendly staff.
I recommend checking the site's website in order to get reliable information.
The information in booking.com differs from what we encountered when we got there, but the staff was very helpful in resolving everything.
We ordered a single unit for the entire family, but when we got there, we got 3 separate units. The staff, however, changed it right away (and refunded us for the difference).
On booking it says there is a mini market in site. When we got there, there wasn't (and the closest one is 1/2 an hour away). We had very little groceries and we relied on buying in site.
The staff was very helpful and brought us bread and milk, which was sufficient until we left.
We will definitely return there.

Location, ease of access and the view. I have stayed at Waimeha a few times over the years. It is comfortable and affordable. The cabins don’t have running water but there is shared facilities available for use. Most cabins can sleep 4 (queen bed and either a set of bunks or a double fold out sofa). There are other sleeping arrangements available (families) and a cottage for couples. Close to the beach and the ngawi fishing village. A great central spot for viewing the Cape Palliser coastline. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The website had different information regarding the restaurant etc. than what was currently available. Ensure you take enough food for your visit as there are no shops to purchase additional food and drink. The reception of the Waimea camping grounds does have some food and if you enquire, they will assist you where possible, throughout your stay. Wi fi can be purchased at a cost but this is understandable in such a remote area.

The cabin is surrounded by farm land will brilliant views of the ocean. Nice and peaceful if you want time to yourself or you can go to the bar and returant to socialize. Lovely people.
Can't fault it. Didn't want to leave a d want to go back but is so popular I can't get the dates I want to book.
