El patio interior era impresionante, muy bonito, encantador.
La habitaciones eran mejorables, no estaban a la altura del hall. Nos dieron un palomar, con una ducha tipo caravana que el agua caía sobre el WC. Nos quejamos y nos cambiaron a otra mejor con un par ventanales que daban al patio.

Inside a nondescript doorway is an elegant, almost palatial mosaic and tile grand room that goes to the ceiling. After a welcome of mint tea, the business of signing in and being shown to our rooms is done with grace. The room - one if their cheapest, a single - was very comfortable and cosy, nicely designed with place to put my bag and table next to the bed. There were tons of blankets and a heater as well. Breakfast is included and dinner is available.
One of the two rooms had a shower that sprayed over the toilet area, but not a fatal flaw.

Die Unterkunft ist schön hergerichtet, die Lage ist super - sowohl für die An-/Abreise, als auch für Touren in die Medina - und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Es wird sehr auf Sauberkeit geachtet. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich noch die tolle Aussicht auf die Medina von der Dachterrasse - einmalig! Wir haben uns insgesamt sehr wohl gefühlt!

Ein außergewöhnlich geführtes Riad mit sehr engagiertem Personal, sauber, gutes Frühstück und Angebot für Abendessen.
Die Parkplätze bestanden aus einer öffentlichen Straße, ein Parkwächter, der sicher nicht zum Hotel gehörte, kassierte 50DH für 2 Nächte.
Entgegen der Beschreibung sind es keine 2 Schlafzimmer, alle Betten stehen in Blick- und Soundbeziehung zueinander. Wer, wie wir, mit zwei Teenagern reist, lernt die unterschiedlichen Tagesabläufe der Generationen und die damit verbundenen Wünsche nach Ruhe und Bewegung wieder neu kennen, falls er, wie wir, diese verdrängt hat. Die Bezeichnung “Suite” ist bischen arg weit hergeholt.

INCREÍBLE, volveríamos a Fes solo para ir a ese Riad. Los dos primeros dias nos llovieron y fueron un poco decepcionantes pero Zineb nos aconsejó en todo momento e incluso me dejó su bufanda para poder salir con la lluvia. La atención tan profesional y cercana de Zineb, cómo se preocupó en todo momento por que nos sintiéramos cómodos. Gracias Zineb por brindarnos ese trato tan profesional y agradable.
También nos atendieron Samir y Mohamed, también super profesionales y atentos, sin olvidarnos del equipo de cocina y limpieza. Hemos visitado muchos hoteles en el mundo pero nunca nos han atendido tan bien y han tenido una coordinación tan buena. Siempre que hemos necesitado toallas, betadine, consejos … han sabido ayudarnos. Uno de los días que salimos a cenar, reservamos en un restaurante y no nos gustó nada la carta así que decidimos llamar al hotel para preguntarles si podíamos pedir cena ya que era un poco tarde 21:30 ( cocina cierra a las 22:00h) y no tuvieron ningún problema, vimos que las cocineras se quedaron más tiempo por nosotros y estamos eternamente agradecidos.
No sabemos si la vida nos hará volver a Fes o no, pero si que sabemos que si volvemos no dudaríamos en volver a Alassala.

Nos gustó todo pero es verdad que el desayuno era un poco “pobre”, pero cuando pedimos si podían ponernos más msemen nos pusieron más sin problema. También el tiempo de desayuno era un poco justo. Y nos pareció un poco caro el precio del “menu moroccan”.

Bellissimo Riad, a pochi passi dalla Porta blu. Staff gentile e disponibile. Terrazza meravigliosa dove potersi godere un buon tè con vista sulla Medina.

Beautiful space, one terrace and one rooftop offering spectacular views. Room and bathroom were great. Mohammed and Zaynab were amazing throughout our stay. Zaynab was very hospitable and kind. Mohammed helped book us a guide for the medina (Shokaib) who was great. Mohammed also helped book us an excursion to the mountains with the guide Omar. It was a pleasure spending the whole day with Omar, he really felt like an old friend by the end of the day. These were all booked at the last minute, so we really appreciate how lucky we were. Just a special place managed by special people :)

Notre récent séjour entre amis au Riad ALASSALA à Fès a été une véritable révélation, une expérience qui restera gravée dans nos mémoires. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis chaleureusement par une équipe exceptionnelle, avec en tête de proue, Mohamed et Zineb, qui ont su rendre notre séjour encore plus mémorable.
Le Riad lui-même est un véritable joyau, alliant tradition et modernité d'une manière unique. Les chambres sont élégamment décorées, offrant un confort absolu, et l'atmosphère paisible qui règne dans les espaces communs crée une véritable oasis au cœur de la médina animée.
Mohamed et Zineb ont véritablement incarné l'hospitalité marocaine dans toute sa splendeur. Leur professionnalisme exemplaire, leur disponibilité constante et leur gentillesse naturelle ont largement contribué à faire de notre séjour une expérience exceptionnelle. Ils étaient toujours prêts à répondre à nos moindres besoins, veillant à ce que chaque détail de notre séjour soit parfait.
Le diner ainsi que le petit-déjeuner, concoctés avec soin, étaient un festival de saveurs marocaines authentiques. C’était à TOMBER !!!! Les moments passés sur la terrasse du Riad, avec une vue imprenable sur la médina, resteront parmi nos souvenirs les plus précieux.
En résumé, le Riad ALASSALA est formidable. Un immense merci à Mohamed, Zineb et toute l'équipe pour avoir rendu notre séjour aussi inoubliable.

The interior was pretty and well-decorated
We were really looking forward to our stay, especially having booked the executive suite, but unfortunately, it fell short of our expectations.
Firstly, the check-in process was painfully slow. It took about 30 minutes for a staff member to manually jot down our passport details, which was tiring after our journey.
Also, the hotel doesn't cover luggage transfer from the medina. Our driver dropped us off a 10-minute walk away, and the porters demanded more money than initially agreed upon. The hotel staff didn't offer any help or seem concerned about this.
The worst part was the noise at night. There was this loud, irregular banging from the rooftop. Totally exhausted, I found myself climbing up at 4 am to find a retractable shade hitting the wall. I tried to fix it, but the peace only lasted for half an hour.
Considering the price of the executive suite and the poor sleep quality, I don't feel it was worth the money. If I had the chance to choose again, I'd opt for a different hotel in Fes.

Stayed extra day…count that as recommendation! Plentiful breakfast. Even gave me a packed breakfast the next day as I had to leave early. I am deaf and staff could not have been more sophisticated in communicating with me. Best staff I have met and I have been coming to Morocco for 56 years.
I would warn visitors to Fès that the area round the hotel has extremely narrow streets winding in 3 dimensions., left right and up and down. Satnav help in finding one’s way doesn’t really work properly in these conditions. Lots of young men will take you where you want to go BUT be careful they don’t take you in circles. Don’t give more than 5 dirhams as a thank you. Manager of hotel gave interesting advice..”remember in Fes ..’down for interest..up to get back to civilisation”

Changement de monde dés que l'on passe de l'autre coté de la porte du riad !Patio magnifique qui fait aussi office de restaurant .Notre belle grande chambre donnait sur le patio !Terrasse sur le toit qui permet de découvrir le magnifique environnement autour de Fés !Accueil super chaleureux du personnel toujours à l'écoute !Petit déjeuner très copieux !Emplacement idéal pour pénétrer ...et se perdre dans les ruelles de la médina !
Carte restaurant à revoir:un seul menu présenté à un tarif trop élevé !Il serait souhaitable de la revoir en présentant des plats à des tarifs acceptables !Dommage car le patio invite à prendre les repas sur place !Et durant notre séjour nous n'avons pas vu grand monde au restaurant, si ce n'est au petit déjeuner !
Prévoir un miroir plus grand au dessus du lavabo de la salle de bain !

We did book a double room with 2 beds, but they don't have 2 beds in this type of rooms, so they upgraded our room to junior suit for free 😊

There are lots of stairs. The 4 poster bed was very hard. There is no separate sitting area. It is a fair walk from the taxi and the market and not so easy to find without help

Me and my sister stayed for 4 nights. It is a beautiful riad with a good location and a wonderful view on the city of Fes. The food is really nice. Everyone who works at this riad is so kind, especially Samir and Zainab as we had most contact with them. I would definitely recommend staying here.
They have two different types of standard Double Rooms, but this is not clearly shown. One of them is a bit smaller with a very small bathroom.

My room was extremely small; I did not expect to be staying in a janitor-sized closet.

Such a beautiful Riad! Staff was lovely and helpful. Breakfast was good, the family room we had for four adults, parents with adult children, was perfect and right off the lobby floor, a beautiful scene outside our door. The AC was welcomed in this summer heat. The rooftop views from the terrace were spectacular! The location is perfect for a quick night in Fes, we were able to walk on foot to get in the most possible in such a short stay.

The property was absolutely beautiful, exactly what you see in the pictures. I loved the terrace and the staff was absolutely lovely and ensured that I was comfortable as a solo traveler. A huge shoutout to Zainab who went out of her way to make sure that I was catered to during my stay. I had my dinner on the first night in the hotel and it was wonderful.
Not much that I did not like this point, but the terrace is so lovely I wish the riad would make it a bit more lively with music and serve dinners from up there.

Place was easy to find and just gorgeous, the details of the courtyard and terraces were enchanting. Area was quiet but not a far walk from some great restaurants and the marketplace. It's an amazing deal for what you get.
We were overfed at breakfast and the staff were helpful with our questions. Happy our rooms had Aircon and a decent shower.
Bed was too soft for my liking, but that's personal preference!

Very beautiful, comfortable and clean riad with a cute rooftop terrace that has amazing views! The staff were super friendly especially Mohamed who greeted us outside the riad and also helped us book a taxi for the next day. The aircon was super powerful especially since we came in the middle of summer. Breakfast was delicious and abundant. Definitely recommend for Fez accom!

The atmosphere was magical, like living in a palace. The hospitality was exceptional. The food was excellent. The staff were courteous and went above and beyond expectations.

The location was great and the staff were all very helpful and kind.
We also enjoyed being up on the roof top - without a doubt this is one of the most beautiful views.
They also made a great dinner which we enjoyed :)
The selected room shown in the pictures was quite different to the one we ended up in.
It had one very small window and the shower was quite open with a shower curtain which meant everything got quite wet. We could see the rooms shown in the pictures and they definitely looked a step up.
The air conditioning vent was also directly above your head and we ended up getting sick. We would suggest it be listed as a different room type, if we knew it was this one we would have selected a different room.
