Beautiful, cave-like rooms made for a great stay. Staff were lovely.
Cave-like rooms that felt extremely private, breakfast, staff, vibe, location, support, facilities, layout, etc.. Breakfast/restaurant area was super nice.
Being picky - breakfast was really good and the staff amazing but a couple of days the process itself was a bit disorganised.

Paradise and Hell
The kindness of receptionists was unvaluable, the garden is very beautiful and it is a joy to explore with so many plants and animals, and the room looked nice even if maintenance is needed.
The breakfast the first day was basic; huge problems with electricity (missing for half of the day during the first period); WiFi signal very week. But the biggest issue is sanitary: water smelled so much (it seems that public water is not depured properly). Actually most of these problems can be considered as general for El Nido, but at the end of the day me and my friend we both experienced ameba infections, and we still don't know the reason.

Clean beautiful room with good WiFi and AC.
Very clean and beautiful room, good facilities inside of the room + the resort has a generator which makes sure you will have electricity (this is not the case for a lot of other residencies). The wifi works great. Good breakfast which can be served at the room. Also the airconditioner works very well. We were sick for 1-2 days and were very happy that we had our stay here at this resort (big tv that includes programmes like netflix etc. was great during our rest day).
The sheets were a too thin for our liking.

Beautiful but just that
I am an experienced traveler (41 countries) who specializes in eco-travel and I found the hotel beautifully designed and quiet. It should change their name of “resort” to “boutique hotel” or “eco-lodge” because the small size, exclusivity and nature are what make it charming. The staff was also very kind and accommodating.
I spent a week and found it expensive just for cool design. Being a digital nomad, I need good wi-fi to work and couldn’t do it comfortably in this hotel. In the room, I had to sit on the floor near the door to catch a bit of signal and in the dining area it didn’t improve, plus the electric outlets didn’t work. Had to take a video-call at the reception where there’s no desk. The hotel excuses themselves blaming the island’s internet service, but I found a perfect signal in the Buko hotel next door, as well as food that I could pay for with credit card unlike in Terra Sancta (much needed as a long-term traveler). The lightning of the room could also improve because it was difficult to look for the things in my luggage (had to use my phone’s lantern) and I couldn’t see my face properly because the mirror of the bathroom is dark (!?). Sounds silly but when I changed hotel in the island, I felt happy to see my face again…

Pleasant
The staff were amazing.
We didn't get to enjoy the swimming pool at all due to the dubious water quality

Terra Sancta is really an oasis and well worth the money spent. Like some others here, we were hit by the Palawan belly and got sick by the mid of our stay. The team took care of us super well, organizing food that we could eat and providing anything we needed, going above and beyond. It was great to have that quiet, beautiful environment to recover and relax. We would totally recommend it.
Loved everything

This could be the PERFECT stay, but it needs lots of work to live up to its promise
This property has a lot of potential - there are some beautiful touches including the area that overlooks the pool. The landscaping is beautiful; it is clear that a lot of thought went into the design. It is small and intimate which is a nice break from the big mega-hotels that we saw a lot around the island. The location is fine - though it's not walking distance from a beach, it is a short tuk-tuk/trike ride away from a nice beach, good restaurants, and the main town. The decorations are local and natural and very lovely. The breakfast was very good -shout-out to the shashouka and the oat pancakes! The staff are also very nice. We did not have the stay we expected, but the hotel did put it right, and they should be commended for doing so. It did take them a long time and a lot of back-and-forth between them and booking.com, but they did finally put it right, which is all you can really ask of a hotel.
I don't want to rip them apart because I know hotels have had a tough time since the pandemic. I also dislike leaving negative reviews because that could reflect only my experience. However, we had some pretty major issues that I think other travellers should be aware of before booking. I think the issues stem from the fact that the hotel seems to have fallen into serious disrepair. You can tell it once looked like its photos, but there are issues that are frankly dangerous. There are holes in the wooden pool deck that you can put your foot through; the river rock paths could be beautiful but they have slid down the hillside leaving you to scramble down a muddy incline atop sliding rocks to your room. When we arrived it was raining, and the ceiling of our room was leaking large amounts of water directly through the light fixtures which didn't seem safe. Our air conditioner didn't work, and though they tried to find the part to fix it, they could not; leaving us to spend four miserable, sweaty nights in the Philippines heat as the room grew progressively more and more damp. We couldn't open the windows because the screens were torn and we did not want to invite in a mosquito feast. There was what looked to be a nice communal area atop the rooms, but it was not in use; it was sitting there dust covered and filled with items for storage. Our hot water didn't work; and on our last night, the water didn't work at all. The wifi also didn't work for us. Finally, this hotel does not have real coffee (they have instant "coffee" which is mud water). A hotel at this price point really should have espresso; and if not, there are multiple inexpensive options (french press, pour-over, stovetop moka). I find a lack of coffee really inexcuseable.
