Great holiday for family with kids

Superb

Truly all inclusive with nothing left out! The range of pools, variety of restaurants and exceptional staff were all of the features that made it a wonderful trip.

The beach was small and rocky which was a shame but the beach bar made up for it.

Disappointing as guests who have been visiting for 6 years and also recommend family and friends.

The building external and internal reception areas are stunning.

We have visited 6 times now, we booked 12 months in advance, booking.com put us directly in touch with the hotel to discuss our room preference, we had numerous conversations with them, then on arrival they allocated us a room overlooking the car park miles away from the area we had agreed, their excuse was… you should have booked directly instead of going through booking.com, we eventually received a better room in the we had specified but by now we were both so upset by their attitude that it spoiled our holiday. Having been to this hotel many times we were very disappointed at the main dining room food and also the guest bathrooms are ready for renovations.

Good

The place is stunning visually. The staff are wonderful. The pools are lovely and the pool chairs are great with really wonderful umbrellas. The concierge was extremely helpful in helping us book tours outside of the resort. The drinks and coffee are wonderful. We also really like the gyros on the beach. For an all inclusive, it's good, you'll enjoy yourself.

The food was good, not great. Maybe I am comparing it to traditional Crete food, but I really found it to be just okay...not spectacular. Even the sit down restaurants, which I would expect to be better than the buffet, were not out of this world. I ordered the Red Mullet at the Cretan restaurant and while the fish was good, it came on a pile of cooked spinach that was icy cold like it just came out of the refrigerator. This made the fish cold and frankly I like my cooked greens hot. We had the lobster spaghetti at the Fish restaurant and the lobster was extremely overcooked. And on the buffet, the olives seemed to come out of a can maybe? They didn't seem fresh and were marinated in some kind of brine. You go to Greece and you expect fresh olives...just saying. And the bed was a little hard...not horrible, but not great. The room otherwise was fantastic and spacious and visually beautiful.

we had lovely week with mitsis Laguna, apart from bit disappointed by no indoor pool, facilities and staffs are amazing!

absolutely clean and beautiful place. staffs are amazingly attentive and welcoming! restaurant standard are great.

no indoor pool, it says 2indoor but both need extra charge, not clear on this when ad. when the hotels get busy and highly booked, the waiting time for facility are too long.

AMAZING!

We have to admit we had a wonderful holiday! From the moment we step foot at the hotel we were greeted with such kindness and that feeling was present at every step of our journey. We will definitely come back next year. We are a very young family and it was our first holiday away. Everything was phenomenal and our child absolutely loved the children entertainment.

The best staff, The best team! Everyone is professional and so kind. they always care and asking what you want and what you need. We loved Yannis from the main restaurant, he always care for what we need. .and we loved the two Giorgos from the main bar the hotel is fantastic

Amazing for the most part...

We loved the fact that it was close to Heraklion (by car) so we could do trips around the area. The staff were very nice to us especially the ones in the "a la carte" restaurants at the hotel. The food in these restaurants was great along with the drinks at the bars along the resort.

The food at the main haul (the bufet) wasn't great, but we managed to book most of our meals at the "a la carte" restaurants.

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay - it was the perfect honeymoon destination!

The pools were great, and all the food was phenomenal! I also enjoyed that our room had its own deck with a hot tub - it felt very luxurious

Relaxed week and great facilities, but didnt meet price/value expectations, not luxurious

great pools, good restaurants, very friendly staff, not crowded, good kids club, nice pool and beach bars, beautiful facilities, good sports courses (football, yoga, etc.)

rooms smelled from mold, concierge desk and reception was impatient and unfriendly when booking the restaurants, annoying system that restaurants can only be booked once, bathrooms were not cleaned well, towels weren't available at the pool - they needed to be picked up at the mini-market which was far away from the pools and an obvious attempt to make people buy things.

To much propaganda for a medium quality hotel

Great accommodations and facilities

Bad location (rocky beach without possibility of swimming the sea), bad attention at the front desk (one of the women when I asked about the dress code for women told me “not like a whore”). Bad resolution of the difference of “view” at the room. When I booked from Chile I payed extra for a room with ocean view. They gave us a partial ocean view room with direct view to one of the swimming pools. When I tried to get the reasons, they indicated me that they consider that view a sea view (not indicated at their website of propaganda) and that they were fully booked. Even trying to get a payed late check out was a terrible experience. I only got it after complaining about how disappointing the experience at the hotel was.

The staff were phenomenal and we got an amazing room. We didn't get all the names of staff to thank but they made our trip sensational (Gregoris, Chryssa, Popi, Anastasia and Andreas in restaurants, Olga on guest relations, Ionanna in Champagne bar, Chrissy in spa and the wonderful reception staff who greeted us so warmly at 1am when we arrived....they set the tone for a wonderful stay). The food was exquisite and loved the chilled pool music

Ok but I will not recommend

Everything was overall nice. Nevertheless, the reason why we have choosen Mitsis Laguna is we have been 6 months ago in Mitsis Alilia in Rhodos and when comparing both, our experience with Mitsis Laguna was clearly less good and a bit disappointing

We have been allocated a room that is supposed to be "sea view". We had a view on children play ground while being a couple without children. The food was overall far less good than Mitsis in Rhodos! The gym machins really bad!

Okeish...

The staff was making a good effort to keep the guests happy. Heating in the room, large room.

Too many people, so a la carte restaurants were booked out even before arrival and the food in them wasn't great, not enough sunbathing chairs.
