Nice view and location, yet needs better maintenance and cleaning.

The unit had a nice view of the ocean.

The unit needs maintenance and better cleaning. The sofa bed mattress had a large stain. The doona had two small blood stains. The dryer was not working. The front porch light was missing. There was a mismatch of glassware and crockery. The kitchen cabinet door was off its hinges. Very disappointing for the price we paid for each night.

Comfortable apart from blackout, although we only stayed 1night.

We stayed just one night so we didn’t get to use all the facilities, but there were plenty. The location on the beach attracted us, but we arrived too late to enjoy. We had dinner in the restaurant which was good.

We don’t like shower over the bath (in this case spa bath) - it’s too dangerous for older people! None of the power points worked in the downstairs bedroom/bathroom then we had a blackout at 10.30pm! Thankfully we were able to track down a phone number & staff were prompt in fixing it. Maybe have an emergency phone number easily accessible??

Definitely give it a miss

Close to beach

Everything else, no on-site reception, lockbox very hard to use, another young family couldn’t even get into their room and had to call after hours emergency. Screen door off patio, kitchen cupboards missing, 1 small cup in the whole apartment, dirty, dusty, cobwebs, no blinds in bathroom window so lights shining all night in the bedroom hard to sleep. Curtains not on tracks upstairs and didn’t cover complete window, therefore lights shinning in there too all night. Our apartment definitely not 4 stars and the best part a car alarm went off 5-6 times during the night before the person moved it.

Good location

Property needs a proper clean. Beds uncomfortable, moody curtains, sink leaked, insufficient cutlery.

The cleaning was below par - ants in toilets and dead cockroach under shelves. No internet. Needs additional blankets during winter. No dishcloth.

Pleasant

Amazing location with the beach at the bottom of the resort. Good sized apartment.

The self contained aspect could be improved. Not enough cups, glasses, utensils or cooking equipment. Glad we only stayed one night but I'd be disappointed if staying for longer. Small things need attention to bring it up to scratch.

The space was good and view was beautiful. .

Eye to detail of cleanliness. Wiping on top of surfaces eg rangehood, fridge, smeared mirror, hot water in one bathroom basin didnt work and it leaked underneath basin, shower needed new head, bedroom curtain not on tracks properly. No extra blankets or pillows no tourist info booklet and no wifi password. Tried to call office with no answer. Maybe right amount of glasses etc for all guests in room might be nice also

great location, needs a good clean.

fantastic location, on the water and still close by to coffs

the room was smelly and dirty. It really didn’t seem like anyone had been in to clean it before we’d arrived, the toilet in the main bathroom was not sealed/glued to the floor so it moved while in use. the location was great but not worth it for the price we paid for the one night. had to leave before front desk opened so didn’t get the chance to speak to reception about our issues.

Gordon ramsey kitchen nightmares but for hotels

Best thing was the beach which is free

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! it was such a Rip off!!,we were looking forward to staying in a resort but we have had better comfort and cleanliness in cheap hotels and cabins and they had wifi, there was cockroachs, a big windows between the bedroom and bath with a curtain that didn't fit, go read the reviews on google I wish I had

Way below an acceptable standard to be charging $750 for one night. Very unhappy

The room had 3-4 dead cockroaches infested with ants. 3 huge live cockroaches that I had to kill, I then couldn’t sleep thinking about cockroaches being everywhere. The washing machine and dryer were out of order, which I needed to use when we arrived at midnight to clean clothes for the next day when we got back on the road. There were no pans, only one huge pot to cook with and only three forks despite being advertised as a full kitchen for four people. Absolutely unacceptable for $750 for one night.

The room was nice and did the job for the one night, but it definitely was not worth the money.

We arrived and immediately the beach front was beautiful, the check in was easy and straightforward and the pool was clean and gated

The room was not ready when we arrived after 2pm and the lady at the front desk did not inform us of this so we unpacked our bags from the car and found our room a mess and the cleaner just arriving to clean it up, after over 3 hours of driving with 3 children we had to wait 30mins for room clean which was not easy. We did not get enough pillows even though I had 2 adults 3 children on the booking, the reception closes at 8pm and opend at 12pm the next day so hard to speak with anyone directly, it gives a number to call, but we had no reception to call anyone. There is no where to eat you have to drive somewhere, and we could not even get anything delivered because we had zero reception on our phones and the Wifi was apparently not working. I paid over $500 for 1 night which really was only from 3pm till 9am the next morning, so not even a full 24hours.

The worst resort stay I have ever had. Do not stay here

There was no breakfast at all there was not one thing I liked about this stay except the little beach view

That everything that was advertised was not there or broken. From all facilities to the dirty and outdated rooms no WiFi just a big mess.

Our stay was terrible, everything seemed to be not working and we left very dissapointed.

The location was great

I was very disappointed that the onsite restaurant had been closed. The kids games room was being used as a laundry and all the games were pushed to one side of the room and not working, They had only one working game in the games room. After the kids were pretty upset the games room was not functioning, I promised them they could have a spa in the corner spa in our room, unfortunately after filling the bath we discovered the spa did not work. We tried to ring reception to advise them (in office hours) and all we kept getting was an answering machine saying ring back in office hours, which it was office hours.

Location has potential

All common leisure areas gave been abandoned by any sort of maintenance nothing works. gym, sauna, games room and restraunt should not be advertised. The room had hair, blood stains and mould throughout. The old linen was left dumped on the front garden. We demanded a refund within a hour.

Absolutely FILTHY!!! For the $920 we paid for 2 nights I would have expected much higher, cleaner and better standards than having food stuck to walls, broken bedroom door, broken and bent window screen, filty marked walls, filthy marked and stained blinds, mould around the taps, filthy windows and screens, missing pieces of carpentry, bed head not attached to the bed and just sitting on the hinge part on the floor, wax and dirt on the shutters to the spa/bathroom, holes in the wooden window sills , dirty cutlery, marked and stained benches, marked and stained cook top. They left bags of dirty linen out in the rain for two days.

Forever Goodbye!

The only good aspect I could think of is the late closing of the reception desk at 8:00 pm unlike other non-hotel accomodations which generally close around 5:00 pm.

I was shocked if not bemused to see a big space in the wall separating the washroom with the bedroom with just a curtain to protect your privacy. I mean come on. For most people time in the washroom is very personal. If you can’t go to the washroom with a peace of mind your whole stay is ruined. I wonder who the architect was. We found a couple of insects crawling in the lounge which was upstairs. Though the beach was in close proximity, it wasn’t maintained with untrimmed bushes welcoming you. Can be a bit spooky at night. You will understand if you are a horror movie fan.

THE SPA DID NOT WORK

welcoming staff. Quiet location

I booked a studio sap room for $162 through bookings.com. THE SPA DID NOT WORK. The spa was the only reason that we booked to stay at Aqualuna Beach Resort. As it was later in the night ALL of the resort staff had gone home for the night. when I went to speak with the check in staff no one was at the resort until 11am, check out is 10am so I didn’t get to resolve my issue. 😣😤
