Einfach top!

Es ist einfach traumhaft! Wir kannten es durch Freunde! Das Hotel liegt mit einen super Blick auf das Meer und die Bucht von Haad yao! Die Zimmer (Standard Bungalow mit Meerblick, hatten wir ) sind schön! Aber alle Bungalows, ob Gartenblick oder die besserer Kategorie, sehen toll aus. Das Hotel Restaurant hat sehr gute Speisen und auch Preis-Leistung ist passend für die Lage und den Ausblick. (Hauptgerichte ab 3-4€) Das Personal ist unfassbar freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Pool liegt grandios mit dem Ausblick auf die Bucht! Dieser ist zwar sehr in der Sonne, aber es lohnt sich. Wir waren meist am Strand, schön ruhig, genug Bars und Restaurants. Viele Treppen nach unten, aber alles machbar. Wir werden es wieder buchen.

Die ganze Außenanlage war sehr schön gestaltet. Super aufmerksames Personal. Toller Pool. Lage atemberaubend schön. Essen absolut top

Die Bäder dürften mal renoviert werden. Leichter Schimmel in den Fugen. Gehwege zu den Bungalows teilweise schwer begehbar

You can't stay here and have a bad time

Pretty much everything. Great place, nice staff, great views, close by to coffee shops and 15 min walk to 7/11.

Bar and food was a bit too expensive but that's the only thing I can think of.

Fantastic seaview

The view and the porch made it all worth it. There were many birds and butterflies, lots of greenery, and a lovely hammock to enjoy it all from. The area was very quiet and felt close to nature. We've enjoyed our stay overall. The room was very basic, but had all we needed. There were minor problems in the beginning (cold water in the shower not really working, missing power sockets) but all were promptly resolved once we let the manager know. The staff at the reception and the cleaning crew were all very nice and helpful.

The room wasn't cleaned unless we explicitly asked - that was a little awkward. The bathroom was spartan and poorly designed, but it was clean and fulfilled its purpose.

Very good

The pool with the view is awesome, the staff is incredibly attentive and nice, restaurant and bar can be highly recommended. The rooms are nice, we slept in two different bungalows. Whatever we needed, we always got help from the reception very quickly. You can also do laundry and rent a scooter at reception, very comfortable.

The resort itself is not suitable for people who have trouble wit walking stairs or steep hills. Aircon is a bit dated and shower pressure is quite low, but other than that we were happy. In one apartment the mattress was kinda broken.

Quite Good but not TOP

- They moved us from a room to another because the room air condo was broken - Bathroom is smelly - Have to walk steep stair to go to the beach - no kayak available - no flexible to give me 2 beach towels when I arrived at 11 am and had to wait until 2 pm (I had to wait until 3 pm cause of room problem)

Living the High Life

Great location, beautiful outdoor area, restaurant and pool where you can watch the sunset.

The shower in the wooden bungalows, but you get over it.

I ordered a chicken sandwich which is for 150 bath and just requested them to put extra lettuce, for that they charge more 50 bath, that feel a little robbed and we booked jungle villa there is just on electric point inside the room for charging

Disappointed

Only the location and the view

The room we got was nothing like the photos. The photos are completely misleading because they only show the best bangalows that are in front of the pool. Almost felt like a scam. We received probably the worst room available. It was abandoned, dirty, and full of stains on the walls. The bathroom was disgusting and had zero water pressure, so it was almost impossible to shower. The shower itself was full of mold and rust. Dirty towels with red/yellowish stains on them. The food was very bad. When the stuff asked us how it was, we politely said that it was "ok" but a little oily ( the truth was that it was horrible and covered in oil). The stuff not only fails to accept constructive criticism, but they appear angry at us for saying our opinion. We paid around 15000 THB for 5 nights and even though we knew it was not refundable, we didn't hesitate to leave the next day and book a way better room at the same beach at 1/3 of the price!!

great location, would stay again!

The sea view bungalow was amazing. very peaceful, comfortable bed, good facilities and great location on the beach. The receptionist staff Andy and Cherry were so friendly, helpful and flexible. They have really good knowledge of the island. The restaurant Thai food was also very good !

Not worth the price.

Restaurant good food & staff very friendly. The view from the room and restaurant was really nice.

As said in the advertisement the resort has quite some stairs to reach rooms. If I had known the distance between the room and the beach was this absurd I'd never made that booking. The people entering the pool area "from outside" where sometimes terrible. Hippies entering the area smoking cannabis all day and keeping the chairs occupied is a disgrace for your guests. THe only thing they order is a cheap bottle of water and bring their own other stuff. Staff notices but doesnt do anything about it whilst guests are in pool area inhaling that disgusting smell of joints. Even kids in the same area.

Worth it!

Beautiful! We were giddy when we saw the view from our Bungalow. It was absolutely gorgeous, very modern and quite romantic. We were sad we only booked one night, because the location was great, we loved the quick walk down to the beach, and had fun snorkeling in the area. Close to restaurants, including the one that belongs to the hotel, a nice pool, and a gorgeous view with a hammock to enjoy it from. It was one of our favorite stays in Thailand, and we wish we could have stayed longer.

Nothing really, it was a bit more expensive, but the area is very upscale, so it was appropriately priced for what you get

Would love to stay there again.

Perfect location with exceptional view. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant serve fantastic meals. There are steps straight from resort leading down to the beach (quiet beach with many good restaurants and places with massage)

Resort would do with some refreshing. You can tell it was built a good few years ago.

Wish we stayed longer!

Loved everything about this place. Perched on the hill, rooms have amazing rooms with hammocks and views down to the beach. The pool area and restaurant is beautiful. Food was great, we had dinner and breakfast here it was really tasty. Great Khao Soi, also freshly baked croissants and excellent coffee (with oat milk, which is hard to find). Location is great, the west side of the island has some gorgeous beaches and great beach bars, all very close by. Motorbike is recommended, or the hotel offer a taxi service. Best of all was the staff, so friendly and attentive. After we checked in and walked past the pool area, all the staff stopped and smiled and welcomed us. ‘Eie’ was super nice, we loved her, she had the biggest smiles for everyone :) Would definitely come back here, highly recommend.

A hotel with beautiful views & nice location. But we won´t choose them again.

Really nice view over the beach in the Deluxe Bungalow with a sea view that we chose to stay in. It could be good to know that those Bungalows face north so you can´t really experience the sunset from the Balcony (which we hoped for)

Regarding the price, we paid for the room, we had expected housekeeping to be included on daily basis. Instead we every day needed to tell reception and leave our only room key to get the room cleaned. The reception closed at 6 PM so there was also a bit of stress to get back in time to get the key back in time. And a couple of times they forgot to clean even though we have asked for it. We booked our stay through Booking and have given all our credit card details through Booking and expected the hotel to debit the cost for the stay that way. Instead, the hotel skips to debit your card through Booking and asks you to pay on arrival. Which for us becomes an extra fee because the hotel debits you extra if you pay by card and not cash. (We thought the payment was already made so of course we didn´t have enough money upon arrival

Beautiful place

Amazing place! The bungalow was comfy and clean and not too close to the other bungalows. The beach is just a short walk away. The pool area is beautiful and has a great view overlooking the beach. We tried out their restaurant too and the food was tasty & not overpriced. Coffee was also great. There are also other really good restaurants within a walking distance. Could have spent more days at High Life!

Sunbeds at the pool were sometimes all occupied, so better get to them early. The location is great if you have a scooter, but you won't be able to walk to a lot of attractions. Otherwise nothing bad to say, this place is great for the price.

The hotel restaurant was very nice. You can easily rent a scooter there. The views from the hotel are amazing. Close to the beach, nice rooms

You need a scooter or a cab to get somewhere. You can't really walk somewhere.

loved every second of it and can’t wait to go back

High Life sits up on the hill over looking Haad Yao beach. it’s an easy walk along the beach into the village and a perfect place to explore all the other beautiful beaches. the restaurant is delicious and the STAFF are the most special, attentive, warm and wonderful people. it’s generally just a very special piece of paradise !

loved it all - definitely not a place to stay for the elderly or immobile - lots of stairs & hills
