Good for a long weekend.

The beach, great view from the room.

No control of the thermostat, one broken elevator for a few days, hard to make reservations for dinner.

The best location on the beach in Cancun

Checkin is a joke, the slowest process I have ever experienced in a hotel which takes 250 USD per night category. The employees deal around with multiple papers and screens in their computer, they have to call backoffice to double check whether it‘s already upfront paid or not. It‘s not the front desk people fault it‘s the uper management of the hotel who is not able to streamline checkin processes. It‘s from the stoneage what they do here and it‘s not the first time I stayed there, since at least 4 years in a row it‘s the same mess. Fire the upper mamagememt and hire people who know how to setup modern digital age confirm processes.

the price I paid for is not worth the stay and experience. I felt ripped off.

good location.

the hotel is old. I wasn’t expecting something like that for the price I paid. there wasn’t enough electrical outlet to charge devices. the TV is not a smart TV and you can only watch cable TV. The bathroom light is very dim, and the drainage is clogged. the hallway at night is dark. the elevator is old and slow too.

Never again!!

The location

The buffet food was offensively disgusting. I wouldn’t feed that to a dog. This is my 3rd time in Mexico. The other 2 times I stayed at Grand Americano and Rui and the food was amazing!!! I can tell Krystal Altitude just wanted to save money because their food was trash and the cocktail drinks were all watered down. The staff was very rude at the front desk. They made me stand to the side for almost 30 minutes stating my reservation wasn’t in the system yet. Then they started helping other customers. Nobody helped me until I got angry and started to snap. I had been traveling all day, don’t push me to the side and make me wait like my money isn’t just as good as everybody else’s!! Also, we kept ordering drinks while we were at the beach and I caught the waiter making a hand gesture to one of his coworkers acting like we were asking for too much. I will never stay here again!!! There’s way better resorts to stay at.

Don't go to Cancun. It's not safe

the staff.

Too strict, you think you're at a military base. Uber is not allowed to pick you up at the lobby. So you have to order a taxi from the hotel. Guests are not allowed to get on the property. I was there for a convention. So we had to plan the meetings out of the hotel—for every step I made, they asked me to show my bracelet (from the hotel). I booked a suit, and they gave me the wrong room. And the police rob us in front of the hotel (in uniform)

Very good

Loved the staff and the resort was beautiful. The food was great.

They had 4 elevators and one was broke. It took forever at times to get it and then it would go down instead of up and we stayed on the 10th fl. It was also so hot in the building until you got to your room.

Good stay, but additional costs have come with the name change

Very nice rooms, and staff. Good location too.

Last time I stayed (Krystal Grand) there was no charge for beach use or towels, but now they charge $20. Taxi from the property to the airport was supposed to cost 700 mxn, but the driver added 300 mxn to stop at another terminal. Hotel is 30 mins from the airport, terminals are 2 minute drive from each other, so 300 for an extra stop seems very excessive.

Absolutely rubbish. AVOID at all costs

Price was expensive, hotel dated. Absolutely ridiculous prices. Staff were rude. Hotel is a shambles. My partner is mexican and was horrified by rhe staff and prices. The hotel is dated from the 90s.

Cons outweigh the pros, pick something else in the area

Great view, excellent location, easy access to beach. Buffet was pretty good with a nice variety of options. Maintenance, reception and restaurant staff were polite and helpful.

The water in the bathroom and sink faucets smelled pretty bad. Also our toilet flush broke 4 times during our seven day stay. To the hotel's credit, they sent a maintenance person to fix it immediately each time but he was never able to fix it permanently. Having to deal with a broken toilet early in the morning when we had a tour pickup scheduled was pretty stressful. Given that there are nearly endless options in the hotel zone, would recommend to pick some other hotel in the area with better reviews.
