Great property but bad hospitality/service at the restaurant

3 star pretending to be 5* - The place is overpriced and miserable.

Location was good

The property was very run down, poorly maintained, very noisy with "silly loud music" piped arounfd the complex, so loud you could hardly think. Let alone have a conversation. The pool was filthy, the pool area dangerous with uneven sharp floors. Mould on the cushions. Pool area uneven and dangerous. Pool surround broken. Tiles broken, waiting for an accident. The rooms were damp and damaged, with paint peeling off the walls, green algae on the windows, plaster peeling with damp, floors damaged and with holes, shower area with mould and cushions with mould. The soft furnishings has stains all over them, and the duvet had blood stains on it (YUK!!) Altogether of pitiful experience for a five star hotel. Should really be 3*or less. The staff started off quite rude and miserable until we mentioned to them how miserable they all looked. They then started smiling a bit more and wishing us good morning. Breakfast was a bit of a nightmare with a free for fall (fight), understaffed and poor quality breakfast, with guests coming to blows fighting to get to the buffet. Toaster did not work for all the four days we were there even though they said they would fix it. The masala DOSA had about 1/10 of the masala in it that it should've had, like they were trying to save money by using a few less potatoes! For the first day we weren't even offered a coffee, and had to help ourselves to instant coffee. On another day there was no hot water for making your own coffee, and hardly any service available over breakfast for over 45 minutes. Would never stay here again, and would advise anyone thinking about it to think again. The place is overpriced and miserable. When we complained we were upgraded to the top room, which had damp in the room, peeling paint, mould on the cushions and much more to mention... And that was the best they had to offer. SAD PLACE.

Большой просторный номер с ванной и душевой кабиной, чистыми большими махровыми полотенцами и постельным бельем. Отлично работает рум - сервис, пополнение мини бара и доставка еды.

В один из дней не работал фильтр очистки в бассейне. В целом отель немного истрепался.

Pleasant location, ok stay

Location is great

The poor management. You can see the staff was trying very hard to give their customers a good service but it was very chaotic. From waiting for tea on breakfast table for 30+ mins to very bad experience after checkout. We had ordered a cab to for the airport and union members outside the resort didn’t allow cab to come in the gates of the resort. One guy and security trying to help but mgmt/owners no where to be found. It was like gunda’s at the gate. We had to finally give up and book the expensive union cab as we had kids with us. Staff is great, hotel needs maintenance and organization, senior mgmt or ownership lacking efforts

Hotel was lovely, pool was great, food was lovely but on the expensive side, hotel Staff were very helpful

Arranging transport for day trips or back to the airport was rather expensive as apparently taxis cannot be ordered to come to the property - this meant you had to take hotel car or a tourist car.

Outstanding staff. Especially restaurant manager Gautam and his team - Chef Kamal - Sandeep at the bar - excellent quality and variety of food. Fantastic location - right on Benaulim beach. In general very well maintained and clean property

Sliding doors and windows in some rooms need to be fixed… especially during monsoons… to prevent insects etc from getting into the room

The Al a carte menu is tooo costly.. The quantity of food provided is way too less for what amount they charge The chicken biriyani is priced at 900+tax and the quantity is way too less.. It dint taste that special too..

Chic resort in the beautiful chill of Benaulim Beach

A great resort in the beautiful Benaulim beach away from the crowds and chaos of north Goa. Tasteful decor and great pool. Offers good dining options (albeit a little bit more expensive) but other local options and beach shacks all within walking distance

good location at the quiet end of Benaulim beach … friendly helpful staff nice pool front of house reception take your whats app number and are very attentive and helpful (Sanjana) very accommodating with a late check out

noisy music at breakfast food average dirty curtains and windows uneven paving .. causing me to fall no point having a balcony with obscure glass (no view) and very claustrophobic

The size of the rooms, the greenery, Proximity to the beach, Pool.

Cleanliness, treatment from the staff, delayed responses. Biased treatment of guests. unprofessionalism of the staff, Buffet breakfast.

Special holiday!!! We loved!

This Hotel is prepared to make your stay memorable. The staff is very kind and everything very clean. Travelling with a kid with food allergy is not easy, but Chef SUPRATI made our experience very smooth 👌. The waiter Arron and Naeem are very helpful and friendly. Ms. Valerie Dias, the lady who stays at the entrance of La Concha restaurant is very alert about the guests needs. Thank you very much, Valerie🙏 All Chefs, people from the kitchen and other waiters were fabulous as well. I don't know all names, but I know that all the team is working very well, congratulations! I'm very glad that I have chosen this place for our holiday. See you soon Azaya!!!

Have an amazing experience at Azaya resort. I would recommend it to everyone visiting south Goa

The resort has fantastic location and access to the beach! I would recommend it to everyone wishing to stay in south Goa. It's a luxurious location and set-up. Special shout out to Saki!! She personally took care of our comfort, right from the time we checked-in. The staff is absolute delight. Cabs are available at the location. We will definitely visit again!

Superb

Room, plunge pool, easy access to the beach, good restaurant, gym, clean central pool. We visited Azaya for a 3 nights 4 days stay in December. The checkin was smooth, no documentation except identification cards. Both front desk and reception have good helpful staff. The room was ready and so was the plunge pool which was clean and ready to use. Breakfast at the LaConcha restaurant has a great spread and ample sitting area and staff to help. Beach is attached to this property and is sparsely populated even during the peak December season. Housekeeping, in-room service etc. are prompt and supervisors will also check on if the request was adequately resolved. Specially would like to mention about Sanjana the manager who went out of her way on an off day and provided immediate assistance for some medical aid for my kid who was unwell one evening. Would love to visit Azaya again and would also highly recommend it to others. It is a lavish & luxurious resort and in my opinion the price of the rooms is justified.

Honeymooning at Azaya was an incredible experience. We would definitely visit again!

My wife and I honeymooned in Azaya for about 10 days in December. This resort is an absolute dream for honeymooners. The food is great, the amenities are fantastic, the rooms are luxurious, the beach is pristine, the staff are professional and friendly. The location of this resort is amazing. It opens up to varca beach, which is clean and quiet. The resort has a lot of beach seats and spaces where you can relax and watch sunsets with your loved ones. Finally, we frequented the public pool which is clean and well equipped. We picked the Azaya XL Pool Suite for our honeymoon and it came with its own pool. It was a little pricey, but the room was luxurious and very spacious. The pool was also clean; we spent most of our time by the pool. The food at the resort was delicious. The complimentary breakfast had an expansive selection of options (idlis, vadas to croissants and donuts) with live counters for dosas and puris. A special mention to Supratim, who made me a delicious avocado toast with poached eggs; it was truly one of the best I’ve had. He also made me a spicy egg bhurji every morning :) Since it was our honeymoon, I wanted to surprise my wife with a candlelit dinner by the beach. Sanjana, the amazing resort manager host was incredibly helpful in organizing this surprise. A special shoutout to Suman and Manohar who were able to accommodate dietary concerns and build a great menu. My wife was floored and we thoroughly enjoyed the “Sunken dining” experience. The sound of the waves, coupled with great company and fantastic food made the evening memorable. Finally, this review would be incomplete without mentioning the resort staff who were friendly, professional and went above and beyond. Special mention to Jayant (who helped us check in), Brajendra (who made sure I always got my ☕️) and of course, Sanjana (who was available on WhatsApp for any queries we had) Thank you for a making our stay memorable, we'll be sure to return one day!
