It was a good location. Clean.

It was not very sound proof. We could hear a lot of noise from the neighbors at night- chairs scrapping across the floor, loud voices.

The condo had great space separation. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. Nice full washer and dryers made quick work of any laundry.

The condo was great. Wild dunes in general was a little disappointing. I had always heard good things but it did not live up to the hype. First the walk on the boardwalk to the beach was blazing in the sun, it was super hot and giant hornets were every where! The beachside pools could have been baby pools they were so small (there was another larger pool on the property but we never found it). The beach was full of reeds that really should have been raked away. We rented beach chairs and umbrellas which were outrageously expensive, especially since they were most likely from 1911. The towel vending machines were always empty. I would have been ok with ALL of that but when other people started setting up tents and umbrellas in front of me, I was unhappy. Call me spoiled but I have NEVER been to another resort that allows anyone to set up in front of the resorts front line. Now maybe these folks were use to crowded beaches in places up north, but in the North Carolina beach’s I usually go to, there is a set of beach rules. You do not set up in front of the first row and you do not play music so loud that 7 umbrellas away can hear it. Like I said I am spoiled. Some people maybe perfectly fine with all of that, but we will never go back.

We loved that we had our own condo. It had everything we needed. It was clean and cozy. We rented a 3 br home right by the tennis courts. My kids all had their own beds which was great. We loved that the pool and beach were close to each other, and close by us. We had drinks and lunch at the restaurant by the pool. Everyone that works at Wild Dunes is extremely helpful and very sweet and accommodating.

We travelled end of August and the pool was pretty warm. Normally I would like it to be a little more refreshing. The whole beach chair rental seemed a little extra to me. I think they should be first come first serve and complimentary. Hopefully if we come back next time we’ll be able to use the racquets facilities and spa. Maybe without the kids!
