It was fine.

Very clean. Great location, absolutely adequate.

The restaurant, arcade and bar were all closed, didn't specify that online. Also, had 2 bedrooms only due to one hanging sliding barn style door. Not really 2 bedrooms.

Cozy, quiet, great location and amenities

Highly recommend! Disclaimer that we stayed here during the first weekend of off-season, so perhaps we had a different experience than most. The staff were very friendly during check-in, which went seamlessly. The room was clean, quiet, and cozy—not to mention loads of TV channels to choose from if that’s your thing. The pool and resort activities were all shut down for the fall/oncoming winter, but they still had the giant fire pits going outside after sundown, which we very much enjoyed. They are located right on the beach of lake George, so I imagine it would be a great place to stay during the warmer months as well. They have dock access, an arcade, a nice pool, and a bar open during high season, which we plan on returning to enjoy next summer. Parking is ample, and the location is great—just close enough to the main tourist strip with all the bars and restaurants and shops that you can easily walk there, but far enough away from all of that to be quiet and cozy without all the noise. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Everything was great. You do have to walk up a VERY steep hill to get to the main drag on foot, but that’s obviously not on them. Just a warning about the terrain you’re dealing with. You can easily just drive literally a minute to the tourist spots if you have physical limitations, or it’s possible there’s an easier way to access the main road that we just weren’t aware of. Either way, don’t let that stop you from booking here!

Disappointing

There was no breakfast. We were told we had to pay extra for it and since we overpaid for a room with a broken coffeemaker, dysfunctional lock and dirty cups, breakfast was not an option

It was a great vacation. We enjoyed our time at Scotty's Lakeside Resort and would visit again.

The resort was clean, the staff friendly and the overall atmosphere was nice. The room had enough room as there were only 3 of us with 2 queen size beds. The beach area was nice and clean and had plenty of chairs available.

The air-conditioning unit in the room was WAY TOO LOUD! I did like that you could control the temperature yourself! It would have been nice to have planned activities for the kids during the day or have the arcade games not cost money and more live music at night.

The room gave us vertigo, the floors were sloped, rotten and dirty, stay elsewhere!

Location on the lake was nice, the young lady at the desk was friendly

The buildings are old and sinking, the floor in our room (#25)was on a 10-15 degree angle, it was like walking on a boat. The bed was 5 inches lower on one side than the other due to the floor, The floorboards were rotten and broken under the carpet, we were stepping in sinkholes all over our room, horrible and unsafe. The place needs serious structural work and remodeling. This place is very old and dated covered with paint and carpet. The bathroom floor was filthy, not sure if it was dirt or mold. The white bath mat turned black. The air conditioner was too high on the wall and you can’t reach the buttons, have to stand on a chair.

Beach and pool was great and that’s about it the staff is too young and they don’t know how to handle situations as they occur not professional at all for the price place is a joke asked to speak to the owner I got a 20 year old kid who is afraid of her own shadow I will find out one way or another who the owner is and tell them myself

People disturbing other guests at 1am drunk and acting like children when they where adults and then the children come to tell them to stop and nothing happens and it continues for 2nights and I should have to pay for that keep dreaming

Great little resort if you don't mind a small room and a big hill!

Beach and pool area are beautiful and very clean and well maintained. Cafe and bar very nice. Room was clean. Location is still walking distance to the village but I wouldn't want to be any farther.

The huge hill. We drove to the top and left our car there. The rooms are also very small - there isn't even anywhere to unpack clothes.

the room phone didn’t work. when someone introduced herself , I asked for extra hangers and didn’t get them until I call

Ugly motel with pool and lake side access.

The room has proximity to the lake and the swimming pool. The motel is also very close to Lake George village but not a walking distance, so you have to take your car if you want to reach pubs and restaurant on the main street.

it's a motel, and it's dated, and maintenance was very poor: the phone wasn't connected, the lightbulbs outside the room weren't working, the coffee for the coffee machine was just disgusting, water pressure was poor, there was hardly space to put the suitcases. In the pool area, the toilets stunk and there was no soap, not enough umbrellas for the chairs/tables... I mean, nothing that per se is terrible, but the sum of all those small things are a lot.

Good enough for a weekend getaway

Their little restaurant food is super delicious.

Absolutely no housekeeping I was there for two days and no new change of towels had to phone in to the main desk for them to drop some new towels in. No one came to clean our room in 5 days we stayed there, no change of bedding, no toiletries. One of our windows broke the first night we were there and we were told they were going to fix it, however no one came to fix it in 5 days we were there! The vanity lights were not working our overhang lights above the bed were not working. Our hot water stopped working had to call front desk again to get it service right away. A total nightmare. Not worth the price and won’t be going there again!

Very relaxing

I love the scenery. The porch seating to my pool view. Bed very comfortable. Everyone was friendly. Location close to everything. Cafe had main food items so I didn't need for nothing outside of that

Room needed renovations and the shout conditioner is placed over head of the bed which is a safety concern so bed should be moved to wall that had big mirror

We had a great time and made the best of the room setup situation.

The pool was great, the beach area with so many chairs was very nice. We loved the firepits at night and it was nice that they didn't shut them down so early like some other places. We really enjoyed sitting in the gazebo right across from our room and ordered pizza delivery and ate outside on the picnic tables nearby. We liked the individual seating areas outside each room as well.

The two room suites were not something we would ever book again, it was the only type of room available so we booked it for the four of us as we wanted to try Scotty's--although we saw the pictures on line the set up was horrible for travelers that are not visiting with children, in particular with two couples and only having one door on one of the rooms and all the tables, chairs, fridge, microwave in that one room. The overhead light for the room with the door was in the hallway not in the room. The total cost for a two night stay was $1530 which in my opinion was way too expensive for the room we had.

Great family place

All of the amenities were great. The cafe had reasonably priced good food options and the staff were all very friendly.

The only small negative I can say is our room was a little dated and had a water leak previously so the phone didn’t work. But otherwise everything was great.

We had a great time. Would visit again.

Loved the staff. Very attentive and friendly. The facilities were great. Lots for the kids to do between the playground, pool and beach.

I wish the restaurant had been open for coffee and breakfast Drinks in the afternoon by the beach would have been nice, too.
