Really enjoyed it, will return but eat at the bar.

The absolute quality of everything. It was so friendly and so comfortable. The room was great, nice touches, the cheese, Barnabus wine and drinks in room. Nice lawn area, putting fun but not Green standard; after a wine or two didn’t seem to matter. Henry in Lucia restaurant is a gem. Wine cellar lovely, serious wine list, do ask for the non standard list. The gardens are pretty special especially the vegetable garden.

The food in the Lucia restaurant was pretty average. We shared a Caesar salad which was pretty under dressed, under parmesaned and under anchovied. Julies chicken was underwhelming. I had the ravioli which was excellent. The crème bruleee custard was over cooked to a solid mass and the vanilla seeds hadn’t been mixed in much. Given the excellence of everything else the food was average.

Fabulous as always!

Every detail was attended to, including welcome glass of rose and help with bags/ room operations. Heated floors in the bath and gratis snacks in the room, comfy beds and nice pool round out what we expect from a top tier resort.

The only issue that could have made the stay better would be to have streaming TV channel access in the room's TV (netflix-prime) as we didnt have access to our binge-worthy shows at night, but it is just a gentle suggestion.

A good place for a quick getaway!

Quiet and beautiful property with views of the valley from our room. The room was lovely and super cosy!

The service door was right outside our room and so it was very noisy during our stay as someone seemed to always be there. It also made us feel like there wasn’t enough privacy if someone is outside our door all the time.

Perfect weekend getaway!

I absolutely loved everything about this stay!! The grounds, facilities, and guest rooms are stunning. The service was impeccable. Every single person who worked there was kind, accommodating, helpful, professional and made for a five star stay. This was truly one of my very favorite hotel/resorts I’ve ever stayed at and I hope to make it a regular getaway. Highlights of the trip included being welcomed with wine, playing bocce on their gorgeous grounds, taking their convertible Mercedes AMG on 17-Mile drive, a day at their spa, a birthday dinner at Lucia, breakfast in bed via room service, the adults only hot tub, and the view from our balcony. And when I left something behind in the guest room they offered to ship it to me for no charge. It made for an absolutely perfect weekend. Highly highly recommend! You won’t regret booking here. Worth every penny. I will most certainly be back to Bernardus!

Delightful place; peaceful in places;

Service wasn’t up to the standard of such a high ranked property; menu was lacking in vegetarian options if you stayed there for more than one dinner.

Luxury hotel with high end amenities and friendly staffs

This hotel has 'ritz' like standard. All the decors and amenities are topnotch. Besides, the hotel staffs are so nice and friendly. They all have big smiles on them! I also love the spa lounge and the pool and the infinity jacuzzi areas. I feel so relaxing after spending my vacation here.

my vacation is too short... I wish it's longer... don't wanna leave.

MENU needs changes ASAP ! fix spa bathroom access for pool

staff. always amazing. love them all. the landscape was beautiful. clean facilities. lovely space.

the food was not great. new menu items. upsetting as a local to see some classics gone from the menu. I was not made aware by Anyone that the spa was under construction during a remodel. sad to not be able to use that facility. worst part was no restrooms near pool so had to parade in my robe through the outdoor seating of the restaurant on mother’s day. very embarrassing.

Beautiful and Relaxing, first class 5 star.

Loved the room, soaking tub, fireplace, and patio. Staff was outstanding across the board. Location is beautiful and peaceful.

Wish we’d had a room without someone above us. Got noisy a couple of times but once I notified the front desk it was quickly taken care of.
