Peaceful and chill

It's a lovely little resort in a very quiet and peaceful location right on a clean soft white sand beach. The grounds, garden and swimming pool are very attractive. The staff are very friendly and cute. The room is large with a lot of windows. The restaurant food was very good, especially the Korean foods.

Smell of paint in the room coming from the wooden furniture as well as smoke from the couch. Internet was somewhat intermittent in the room and not available at all in the pool or restaurant. Noise at ground floor from upstairs neighbours stomping around.

Could have been better

Room size

I had to cancel the rest of the bookings as emergency situation arose. I paid for the first day (overnight) I stayed but management still asked for payment for the second night altho I left in the morning the following day

Beautiful place

We had a very good experience at Retreat Siargao Resort. Enjoyed the facilites and staff were friendly and attentive. Room was spacious compared to other resorts I have been to. Food was good and well enough portion and good selection too.

There were ants in the rooms which is quite a turn off for me. There were six of us who travelled and wouldn’t let us book for two rooms only instead of 3 when there are two beds that are good for 3 ppl in one room.

This property has ticked most of what we like in a holiday property. Two thumbs up.

Loved the beachfront. It is very inviting and was kept clean all throughout our stay. The beds were very comfortable which were perfect for when you finish a whole day of tours and you just wanna be swallowed by them.

The lighting in the toilet and shower are a tad dim for my liking. Also, they have balconies on all their rooms yet you are not allowed to smoke or vape, they expect you to get out of your property and to head over to the main building then climb up to the second floor just so you can do your activity.

I felt appreciated and payed attention to.

It’s only a 8 minute Tuk Tuk ride from the Main strip but you feel like you’re on a different side of the island. It’s quiet and the staff makes you feel at home. The owner Jason is a gracious host and accommodated our meals with our tour pick ups and drop offs. He really made us feel special. I highly recommend Siargao Retreat and will definitely be back here again.

Clean and it was just the right size. The landscaping captured the essence of Siargao Island.

Very incredible stay. Would happily recommend.

Awesome breakfast. Choice between more 'American' eggs and bacon breakfast and more Filipino style breakfast. Lots of options to chose from the menu. Quite a few interesting Korean cuisine ideas.

Air conditioner was not very strong.

Outstanding experince, good for families, couples or individual travels.

First off the owner, Jason and his wife were very accommodating and open to ensuring a wonderful experience for their guests. Along with the staff (Angel & Michael....), size of the room, cleanliness, resort lay-out, city access and an amazing location right in front of the ocean, this was a wonderful, peace-full experience. When I return to Siargao next year, this will be my primary location for rest and relaxation. Thanks to Jason, his wife and their staff...God Bless and see you again soon! Troy Jr.

Exceptional

This place was an absolute treat to stay at. The rooms were large, clean, modern and very comfortable. The pool was something special too. The beach front location, ocean views and gardens were a pleasure for all the senses. Wifi was great and the rooms had two new and quiet air-conditioners. Staff were friendly and loved working there. The owners were also there while we were staying and they went out of their way to be friendly and make sure we enjoyed our stay. I can't wait to stay here again 😊

I would come back mostly because the staff was so friendly.

The staff was exceptional. They were very friendly and accommodating. I also had to switch days last minute due to flight cancellation and they accommodated me with no additional charges. Aside from that, from food service to sight seeing coordination, they were great!!!

if I am being picky, the room could have been more clean. I did notice dust when we first checked in. I’m sure they would have quickly dusted if I requested but it didn’t bother me.

Food was weird. Nothing tasted right. Had to eat out or Got food delivered. Cos still recovering from Odette had to let go of staff. No bartender no Barista. Hotel could do with support though to lift its game and support ppl working there.

perfect relaxing getaway and wished I had thought tobstay longer to work remotely

Beds were very comfortable, wifi was good, there was netflix, big room, staff was very friendly and helpful, can book/rent things with the resort, great garden and beach front seating to enjoy the view, owner was also very nice. very clean and quiet location :) breakfast was great!

Building was alittle old but well kept, lots of wild dogs running around, shower was alittle cold, things at the resort was more expensive then local prices

Non stop rain-5 days at resort

Location at the quiet beach is great, pool looks nice but we had 5 days non-stop rain. Minibar was loaded which is not case in asia, most interesting is that at checkout we do not need to pay for what we drinked. Asked 3 times-it is complimentary.

Very old facilities, needs lots of renovation, rain was leaking thru all windows and doors which have more than 2cm gap when they are "closed". Toilets and showers are outdated, keys for room are "joke"

a great holiday, away from stress and noise from General Luna. Still short distance with a scooter. We can recommend it,

it is spacious, quiet, clean and well maintained. Direct access to a large and clean beach which is almost deserted where you can relax or swim safely. Very few resorts around, only some fishermen. Nice and large pool. The resort can arrange everything for you: massage, excursions, scooter rent, etc…

After Typhoon Odette some coconut trees have been taken down and we would have liked more shadows in the garden and the pool. New trees have been planted, but will take a while. Should put a few nice parasols. Restaurant menu could have been more varied, but again you do want to eat there every night and instead go to town.

Everything was perfect !

Everything was perfect ! Specially the owner and the staff was kind and thoughtful. We enjoyed the week without any complaints. If you want a perfect Siargao trip, I recommend you stay here. P.S. Hope you try Korean food here.

Superb!

The location is top-notch. The best reason you should stay here, however, is because of the owner and the staff. Honestly, the owner is the MOST accommodating and helpful I've encountered anywhere. I constantly travel for my job (Europe, America, Africa, Asia, etc.) The ownership and kindness and helpfulness of the staff to accommodate your stay is without question the BEST I've ever experienced in the last 25 years of travel.

Showers were a bit cold...but not a big deal for me.
