AWFUL

This place is only "ok" if you have kids. Don't stay there if you are just a couple.

Absolutely terrible place. Check in was ok, then we get to the room and notice the AC is not cooling the room, we call reception, they said they will send the maintenance guy, he arrived like an hour later, and didn't say anything, we told them the issue and then he just left without saying anything, we assumed he was fixing it, but 3 hours later, nothing. We called again, they sent someone else who said we will probably change rooms. It took many ours to finally get us to go to another room, only to find that the AC is still not properly cooling. The room was filthy, full of bugs, including on the bed. we both were itching like crazy after being on the bed. It was also moldy. The mattress was absolutely terrible, you literally sink until you hit the base of the bed. Room service is lousy they didn't even empty the rubbish bins. They don't give you shower Gel!!! only shampoo and conditioner. Oh, and as we were walking out, we saw a box full of the little milk packages that they leave in the rooms' fridges was left outside in the sun, i thought maybe the room service just put it there for a few minutes until they work on something else, but the box was still there like 3 hours later!!! in the sun and the heat! Generally the place is very run down and not kept well. The place is also super noisy because it's full of kids. Awful place, definitely not worth the money. Avoid.

Great place therefore a great stay.

staff service in the bar area and at breakfast very good. The house maids are very good as well. Great comical staff at the activity hut.

Great!

Excellent breakfast and lovely staff.

Our transfer back to the airport did not arrive on time. There was a little bit of miscommunication 😞.

That there is activities everyday

Wifi is charged to in house guests at a ridiculous price $15 for 1gb and 25 for 2gb or something similar to that cannot remember exact prices. There was no milk or even drinking abilities eg water for the children in the rooms no bowls to make something for them to eat after hours. Long lines to wait fr check in, we waited about an hour to get room keys.

Relaxing stay, so pleased we had air conditioning !!!

Very comfortable room and well serviced Gardens were well maintained and lovely to walk around.

Pool size Being a family orientated resort I felt the pool was not adequate for the number of guests An adult only pool would be great Breakfasts were adequate but I felt they could be improved.

Decent stay for overnight

The beach in front is beautiful with good snorkelling. The room was pretty spacious and the staff were all very kind

The property is run down and not particularly clean. Breakfast was very poor in terms of both selection/variety as well as food quality. Pool was out of order and with an pretty poor makeshift pool set up

Perfect!!! Yous exceeded my mums 79th birthday and I'm forever grateful... Nga mini Kia kautau

I think she was the manager, she's the best 👌 and the babysitters was handy for when we hit the party bus. Everything about edgewater is amazing. We ate there everyday xx free breakfast was good. Was good to have a healthy breakfast to start the day. The cleaners were friendly actually everyone there was....

Nothing, very grateful and enjoyed every moment. Wel be back for sure

Overall pretty good

Modern facilities. Quite an extensive restaurant menu.

Strong, unpleasant VOC smell in room, possibly due to recent refurbishment. The included buffet breakfast was no more than adequate.

Generally good except for above dislikes. Could be exceptional need to renovate rooms very basic.

The facilities were ok except for roadworks and pool closure. The staff however were lovely room was good

No free airport shuttle and very disappointed I had to pay $45 for wifi. I travel all over the world even to remote third world countries and never paid for wifi anywhere. So I’d not recommend friends stay here.

Decent value for money but not luxurious

Great viewing deck to watch the sunset, drink cocktails and spot whales

Food wasn’t great, accomodation is old and tired and pool was too small for the size of the resort.

Family stay

Our kids enjoyed the daily activities (fish feeding and eikatu making) at the kids club, snorkeling right outside our villa. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and spacious seating, continental breakfast was sufficient - enjoyed the range of seasonal fruits. 3bedroom beachfront villa, beautiful views - watched whales swimming passed from our balcony. Quiet from other units, spacious - nice having a full kitchen. Air con was good on hot days. Use of own washing machine was so handy. Comfortable beds, very clean.

A pleasant stay but I felt a little bit unwelcome as a single traveller.

The breakfast was ok but not amazing.Didnt try the cereal as I don’t eat it .Muffins seemed a little crumbly. Fruit was not that flavoursome. Location was great.What happened to the lagoon.Its changed from my last visit five years ago. The games room was poor and unexciting as was the unfinished playground. Although I enjoyed some games of table tennis.

I don’t feel that your very interested in accommodating single travellers.as there doesn’t appear to be any smaller room options.

Food was amazing fresh tasty and so good - Breakfast Lunch and Dinner. Room location was just right - relaxing vibe and was a very enjoyable experience

we were in block 700 which looked directly out at the construction site which was okay but it was quite loud especially in the morning if you wanted to sleep in

Happy with everything apart from the room.

The restaurant is excellent and the service is superb.

The block we were in, Nassau, is pretty elderly and well over due for a refurbishment. The walls and grouting in the bathroom left a lot to be desired. We were near the end of the block and I believe close to the sewerage area. There was a constant unhealthy smell we were even offered free wifi because of this fact.

- good location - the bus comes through to reception - island night best on the island - real drums, good dancers and good food! - large beach front room - air conditioning! - cocktails were good

- not enough toiletries supplied - not enough in room teas and coffees, no milo/cocoa - mosquitoes!! no fly spray given or offered to remedy - dated decor, unsure if clean or not. - Internet connection terrible in the room - zero! - kids club needs improvement (when compared to other resorts on the island) - local staff could be bit more genuine with their kiaorana greetings and helpfulness - pool was very packed often - sea was far too rough, kids were not enticed to snorkel here at all

Enjoyable

Edgewater provided an easy and enjoyable stay with my family. The staff were kind and the kids loved the pool.

large villa with most things we needed. all areas were kept very clean. staff mostly friendly. good atmosphere in restaurant and bar area. lots of space and lounge chairs on beach

property promoted an allergy friendly menu however breakfast options were very limited (only 1 muffin option and no bread). room only serviced every three days. poor television reception.

Be clear on when check out is.

The rooms were spacious and just loved the air conditioning.

I was told my check out was Wednesday, not Thursday. When I asked for an extra day (to align with our flights) it was far too expensive. It wasn't until AFTER I checked out on Wednesday that I was told I didn't have to check out until Thursday. So I asked to stay another night but was told I needed to pay as I'd already checked out!!! Was not happy with this so spent our last night at Club Raro. Prefer Edgewater though.
