Amazing experience during our stay at The Hermitage Kanatal (5 Stars)

The property's location would take your breath away. You can view the pine forest and Shivalik Range right from the room/terrace or patio. Mr. Bhatia is an amazing host with who you would love to indulge in discussions about the history of the property. His hospitality is really appreciated. Ranbir who is the main manager, would take care of all your needs and all the staff members are very hospitable. Please ensure you go for the Deluxe Double Room to view the forest right from your room. We had an amazing experience and would love to visit again. Stay was pleasant. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Nice services. The staff was very good.

Location is good. The hotel is surrounded by mountains and Jungle. Well behaved and helpful staff. Tasty food. Special thanks to the manager, Mr. Ranveer, who also managed to serve us traditional delicacies like Jhanhora ki Kheer, Gehut daal etc.

Fair to middling

Staff were courteous and smiling all the time. Located right on the main highway so its good for people who dislike driving/walking up steep slopes.

There were no good views of the landscape from the property, atleast from my suite. Suite seemed overpriced. But room rate is subjective so thats only my view.

Property was expensive for facilities provided and service level offered by staff

Location was excellent. Food quality was very good. Overall property was fine.

Room looked very old and not renovated eg. walls were not finished well and windows were looking old. Requested for cleaning of room but by the time we came back (4-5 hours) it was not done.

disappointed & seemed waste of money

The staff and location was the only thing worth writing about

The hotel / resort did not match our expectations, building was very old , room was very small , room interiors were very bad, roof and wall panels looked as if they were about to fall on us, the best was the staff behavior & service we know at this height arranging food is difficult but still food was very expensive personally not worth what we were charged. we request you to kindly in future click site photos yourself & do not rely on property owner inputs

Location was ok, but very much expensive , won't recommend

They charged me extra 5000 , though it was clearly mentioned in the email sent by The Hermitage, the charges were 44998 for 3 days stay, and GST was not applicable.but at the time of checkout they made it around 50000. When asked they behave very rudely and ask us to confirm it from booking.com. i show them the email but they didn't care about that. So I won't recommend this place to anyone, fraud

Only thing is if cleanliness can be maintained better than what it was. i can understand the windy nature around makes it difficult but still it can be managed if they keep cleaning without guest asking for it.

Staff was polite and excellent, loved there services and behaviour.

Owner's behaviour of this property is something we didn't like. he is very rude and lives in attitude irrespective of guest expectation

Excellent

Warm and cordial hospitality, excellent food and very good location. Bhatia’s, the owners took personal care. The boys were also very good - especially Sarvesh. Rooms were large and comfortable. The common balcony had nice setup for having dinner.

This being an old property, it was not build for so many charging points (phone, laptop, iPAD etc). Hence an extension chord would be useful. The staircase is a bit steep but the staff ensures that senior citizens always get ground floor or first floor

All good..secluded. don't expect a usual large hotel, because it isn't. Away from thr hub bub.

The only glitch, perhaps, is no wifi in the rooms.though, I am aware that is getting sorted..

Hostility by Mr. Bhatia and staff was awesome. Ready for any kind of help required. Fabulous experience, specially Sarvesh who was taking care of everything.
