Breakfast was very good but disappointed in wine selection with dinner. Very limited selection of not great wine. Would have eaten at hotel more frequently bar for this fact particularly as traffic into Ubud town centre gridlocked a lot of the time.

beautiful spacious villas with arty decoration, we loved to spend time in the villa and had breakfast there most of the time as well. the staff is exceptionally warm, friendly, personal and helpful. also the restaurant is lovely and the food and drinks very good. great services and activities, all at reasonable cost, so that eg we used the hotel car for transport etc as it was a better service at a good price. all of the family was sad to leave.

some minor items were not fully up to the standard, like the gym.

The staff amazing, the restaurant sensational, the food was fresh and local, yum. The facility was next level, everything you asked for plus more.

The rude guests, I am so sorry people are rude they should have more respect.

The staff is absolutely amazing!! I never met such nice people, always hepling us and provided anything we needed. The spa treatments were also nice, a little too pricey. Very good breakfast and afternoon tea also. at night, they would light up something on the terrace to keep away mosquitoes and change the towels twice a day.

LIZARDS IN THE ROOM. I can understand the villas are in the middle of the jungle, and that’s where the lizards live but I don’t think it’s normal for them to make a nest in our room and kept making noises all the night, very difficult to sleep.. We stayed in the Limasan residence and everynight we found about 2-3 small, white lizards. The staff was nice and helped us get rid of them, but then others would enter. The major problem was in the 5th day when I found animal poo in the bed… We asked at the reception and it confirmed it was from a bigger lizard, gecko, the one that kept making the noise. They say it lives in the ceiling and it’s impossible for them to catch it, even pest control came the next day and couldn’t do anything. For the rest of the nights we squeezed in and all 4 of us slept in the smaller room (not the one with the living room where the lizard had a nest) because we didn’t want to wake up with lizard poo on our face or something. I did some research and I understood that in Bali it’s normal for lizards to sometimes enter the room, but I would expect for the money we paid that the rooms could be better proofed, I wouldn’t have mind if one entered by accident, but it’s not ok for one to actually have a nest there. The shuttle to Ubud could have one more pick up time at night, because the last one is at 16.00 and I think it’s a little too early and we had to pay for taxi when we stayed later.

this property is off the beaten path but it’s one of the nicest hotels I have been too. i am in my 30’s and I stayed at the resort with my parents who are in their 60’s. it’s super quiet, luxurious and the food is incredible. i highly recommend

breakfast was wonderful. but wish there was perhaps one special to choose from a day. 4 stayed 4 nights, selection got monotous at day 3. Tradeoff for tranquility- property a bit isolated. roads v narrow so walking out dangerous. Villa neighbour was v loud. water feature at pool masks noise effectively- when it works.

This was our third stay at the Purist and once again we have not been disappointed. The rooms/ villas are very beautifully decorated, offer plenty of space and the staff once again was super friendly and helpful. Still close to the centre off Ubud, the location is a quiet & peaceful oasis. Breakfast and discretionary afternoon are delicious and so are all other meals served in the restaurant by the pool. We‘ll definitely be back if we come back to Ubud

It was a honeymoon trip. The staff are very friendly and kind. The restaurant food is also very good. We also saw a traditional Balinese performance. Lucky. I recommend this hotel.
