Not only does it have a more expansive view, but also a vaulted ceiling and no overhead noise, This lovely villa has HVAC, water heater, built-in microwave, granite-tile kitchen countertops, stainless kitchen sink, laundry facilities, and raised-height seamless sinks and countertops in both bathrooms. There are 2 TV's and wifi. The master king bed is covered with a hypo-allergenic down comforter and white duvet cover. The scenic, low-country is the perfect place for biking. There are several bike rental establishments that service the island if you are unable to bring your own bike. Paved bike trails connect Seabrook Island with Bohicket Marina (cute shops, restaurants, and outstanding views of river and marsh), Freshfield’s Shopping Village (gourmet foods, grocery store, Starbucks, eclectic shops, post office, pharmacy, urgent care center), and Kiawah Island. With numerous awards including the “Top City in the U.S” by Conde Nast Traveler Reader’s for the second year in a row and upscale King Street named among the “Top 10 Shopping Streets in U.S.” by U.S. News and World Report, you will love wandering down narrow alleys and cobblestone streets, admiring gorgeous homes and gardens, eating at some of the finest restaurants in America and shopping for unique gifts and clothing. Take a carriage ride, visit one of the many plantations on the river, stroll along the waterfront Battery, visit Patriot’s Point Maritime Museum, the SC aquarium or Ft. Sumter, take a harbor cruise, bike or walk over the Cooper River Bridge. All one-bedroom Pelican Watch villas have the same square footage. The location is wonderful. The only negate comment I would have is there were dusty places such as vents, bedroom fan, bedroom bureau and floor in bedroom behind headboard.

The condo is nice and right on the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed to be able to cook all of our meals there. However, we were informed three days before we would have to bring toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dishwashing detergent and do laundry before we left. Whoever stayed there previously must not have had laundry detergent, because all of the towels smelled mildewy. We had to use our beach towels. Also, there were a lot of dirty dishes in the cabinets, they must not have had any dishwashing detergent left. If you stay a night or two it would be fine, but we stayed almost a week and it was inconvenient for us to bring all of this. Also, the entire place needed a deeper cleaning. It was just surface cleaned. Furthermore, the shower door fell on my foot Also, we never heard from the homeowners at all. I have stayed in many a rental and have always received great communication to be sure we arrived ok, did not need anything and then a quick message the morning of check out. We actually had wifi issues when we got there and I could not pull up my key pad entry information. However, I had saved the owner's phone number. The call went right to voicemail. Finally the correspondence we did receive was very unwelcoming. We understand that people trash rentals, but there is a way to let people know the stupid or rude things people have done in the past without insulting future customers. We will come back to Seabrook for sure, but find a more hospitable rental.

Pros: Great location. Direct access to the beach. Fantastic views from the balcony. Beautiful sunsets. Cons: 1. While the apartment is clean on the surface, anything not directly in sight is dirty. When we opened the sleeper sofa, it was covered in bread crumbs. As my kids were playing in the living room, they "uncovered" (coming out from under the sofa and the loveseat) a few crayons, a goldfish cracker, a couple of cheerios, and some other assorted food remains from previous guests. 2. The apartment is not terribly well maintained. The shower faucet in the smaller bathroom had unreliable temperature control and then literally fell apart in my hands as I was taking a shower. I had to reassemble it using my bare hands as a screwdriver. Not something you want to do at 11pm in the middle of your vacation... 3. Last but not least: Once you are within 30 days of your stay (and you no longer have a chance to get any refund), the owners will send you a three-page list of instructions. You must follow these instructions to the letter because the owners will take any opportunity to charge you for whatever they possibly can. We left the apartment in a better state than we found it (by fixing points 1 and 2 above), and yet we got a petty $5 charge for not having started a laundry before departing.

You can’t beat the views from this Pelican watch! It was perfect for our little family! My daughter (1 1/2 years old) loved the beach and I loved the ease of taking her back and forth! Everything was clean and accessible! We love seabrook and can’t wait to come back!

We have been staying at Pelican’s Watch once or twice per year, for several years now. The view from all of the units is amazing. We love being able to walk right down to the beach. This is our first time staying in this unit. I don’t think we will stay in this unit again. The bed was very firm so if you like that then this is the unit for you. Also, we had a difficult time sleeping at the 70 degree temperature setting.

The condo was right on the beach and has beautiful grounds. The island is very laid back which we like. There are shopping and restaurants within 10 minutes which makes it very convenient.
