This villa is a good location, close to shops and not far to the beach. Property managers met us on checkin - we were running late with Bali traffic and they waited. They provide water drums which is a great benefit, and some mossie sprays and coils. The pool temp is cold which is good for the very hot days. Some nice cultural furniture bits throughout the rooms.
We didn’t have to rush out by check out time when our driver was running late.
Note this villa living space is outdoor - the 3 rooms are inside but the kitchen and living room is outdoor so not air conditioned which makes eating and relaxing in common areas hot!
It also means that you can get some ‘wildlife’ coming to visit - whilst relaxing by the pool (note the pictures are not the same as the current furniture in the villa or by the pool) a rat ran past my mums feet, and there was some kind of rodent scratching inside the wall of the small bedroom - this woke me up during the nights and two nights I slept in another room as I was worried the rodent could get into the room as it was so loud and. Sounded like it was either in the bed frame or wall. Reported this to the manager who said they would check it out but didn’t. I’m aware that the rain can bring this issue but the scratching in the walls happened very frequently.
Hot water for the showers either runs out after one shower (3 of us stayed here) or wasn’t hot at all.
The small bedroom isn’t sealed to the outside, and is locked only by a timber slot. This was difficult as the 2 safes don’t work (reported this to the manager who said he would come around to show us how to work them but he didn’t) - there was no power or them, used the same safes in other locations so pretty sure it wasn’t user error.
There is an aircon unit by the small room which makes really loud noises and keeps you awake at night.
The bedsheets and towels are very dated and stained - blood and sunscreen stains. Reported this to cleaners who said it was mossie blood stains - must be big mossies. Wouldn’t normally make so many negative comments but can see this was reported a number of times in below reviews and it hasn’t been remediated since so be aware.
Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again. It’s extremely overpriced for what it is, felt unsafe for leaving passports when you went out, was unclean and noisey, in my opinion.

Second time here and it’s such a great location and space. Beautiful decor.
One of the bedrooms was a bit noisy being next to the road and also I think the pool filter next door you can hear through the night.

Beautiful and spacious house near shops, stores, beach… Great location!
We were 5 adults and one child and the house was perfect to relax, have some peace and fun family time.
We ordered breakfast for a few days and it was yum - nasi goren, fruit and pan cakes were my fave.
Every day cleaning was included - 💃🏻 Oh, also airport pick up was!
And the cleaners were lovely.
What I rave most is that they went above and beyond: we had our flight at 11pm to return home. They said we could stay at the villa as long as we wanted if it was not leased. And it was leased the night before our last day. They said, not to worry as we could use another villa nearby. And so we had an amazing last day. Would come back. Thanks Wayan and staff.

Great size villa for 4 people. Loved the private plunge pool and cabana. Within walking distance to Seminyak Square, the beach, and plenty of food and night life options. The owners were lovely and allowed us to check in early and check out late. Would stay again. Many thanks 🙏🏽

The water would slow to a stop some days in the bathrooms but nothing major the staff couldn’t attend too. Lots of staff coming and going due to the pool pump breaking down but they were good about it and fixed it quickly.

The property was in a great location! The staff were all so friendly and at hand with anything you needed. The property was very clean and the breakfast was very good. Felt like home away from home!!

Beautiful staff, housekeepers and gardener came every day, spotless place. Great swimming pool with a floatie :). Amazing sound system for your fave tunes.

The villa lived up to its online portrayal, staying true to the images presented. Its proximity to numerous dining options and Seminyak Square was a definite plus, showcasing a strategic and convenient location.
Communication was seamless through WhatsApp, and the villa manager, Wayan, stood out for his exceptional friendliness and willingness to accommodate our needs. If we ever find ourselves back in Seminyak, Bali, there's no doubt that we would opt for this villa once again.
.The only minor drawback was the bathroom situation, where the lack of coverage resulted in significant wetness after showering, due to water splashing around. However, this minor inconvenience was overshadowed by the villa's merits.

Good location, lovely responsive staff, good layout for family.
The toilets did not flush which was inconvenient and gross. “Put your poopy toilet paper in the bin” was not something I expected to be yelling at my kids in holiday. Smelly, gross, annoying. We were told that it has something to do with the sea/coral…but I have stayed at other villas nearby and never had this issue. For the money I paid, I wanted a flushing toilet. I also think the photos are misleading. The ad showed highly edited photos of three villas, and I didn’t realise they were not all from the one property. So I rented based on photos and then realised we were at a different villa. The Villa we stayed in was ok (except for the toilets) but the Villa I wanted (and thought I was getting) was next door. We were one bedroom short because of this confusion and needed to rent another villa across the road to accommodate our eldest child. At least she got a flushing toilet! Yes, our mistake, but when you look at the 40 photos of Smiling Cactus be VERY careful to understand that what you see is not what you get. The staff are lovely, but overall I felt ripped off and I would not stay here again.

The location of the villa was excellent! Probably 8-10 min walk to the beach and to Seminyak village. The villa itself is huge! I mean huge! It has 2 bedrooms, large living area, pool, sunbathing area, and a small terrace by the pool. There is an area to relax after pool, watch TV and etc without entering bedrooms. It was great that the insects repellent was provided. We have been greeted nicely and light/AC were on when we arrived. The bed frame is kinda high a small step stool might needed for an older people to get on the bed. The manager showed us villa on arrival. The villa has self-catered kitchen if you want to cook something. There are utensils/cups/plates/pots available. In the kitchen you can also find tea/coffee for your needs and big jag of water. There is no milk in the fridge. Maybe because we are from New Zealand we got used to have a milk in the fridge.
Breakfast was included in our stay. There is a sheet where you can pick up options for breakfast. Last day we had a floating breakfast in the pool which was great! Breakfast consisted of fresh juice, fruit plate, and one main course. We tried pineapple pancake, mi, and nasi goreng . Pineapple pancakes and mi goring were very good.
There is a restaurant next to the villa that was super convenient. It was just next to our villa. There were several options to choose from. No car needed to get there. It was less than 1 min walk!
The communication with our villa manager was easy and that was very helpful.
There is nothing that we didn't like really. As a suggestion, maybe it will be good to have some rack in the bathroom to dry towels after shower? We were looking for such a place. Bathroom towels might need replacements. They looked worn out. Some people might find the location of villa little bit noisy as its located on a busy road and restaurant near by is playing music. But it was not our concern as we were exploring the country during the day and coming back very late.

Fantastic location, So close to all our favourite restaurants. Cafe Bali, Sisterfields. Short walk to Kim Soo and Kudeta. Lovely gardens and pool, as in photos. comfortable bed. This villa has been looked after well after the pandemic. Staff were very accommodating when we needed a late check out. we will be back.

It is advised as a different villa they show you photos of newer vision of smiling cactus . The owner was very un helpful and knew he was in the wrong and did not have anything to say which we was upset about ! This stay was for a 21st celebration surprise and we arrived to unclean sheets and stains on the pillows couches and outdoor seating . We have stayed in places for less than £10 which had cleaner seats . It definitely let down the place and the fact the owner had a attitude about it . Overall we made the stay a great stay and enjoyed ourselves:)

I traveling with my family to this Villa, we got a special price (maybe due to the pandemic situation). So I think I got a very good deal to stay in this Villa.
The Villa is big, clean, modern style and all facilities are well maintained including the private pool were amazing. The photos on the website are same as the actual.
They also offer breakfast with an extra cost, but surprisingly for the first day, we got a free-floating breakfast for 2 persons.
Thank you to the owner and the staff that treat us very well.

not clean, there are some cats that ruining the garbage every here and there, room cannot be cleaned everyday, no extra towel everyday, Netflix and u tube on tv not working, a lot of mosquitos.
