The view!!
Amazing view, unfortunately didn't see any whales during early July. No loadsheddingđź‘Ś. Will definitely recommend, and come again! Amazing gifts and friendly host

Spectacular find. A must visit!
Wonderful views and amazing facilities. The kitchen was well kitted and the beds were comfortable. The glazed windows keep the house warm despite cold winds and the large windows make it feel like you are outside even when the house is closed up. We could watch and hear the whales from the house.

Home away from home with a spectacular view and amazing sunsets.
The view was absolutely breathtaking, the sunsets were out of this world and the house was comfortable, clean and spacious. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much, I'm sure we'll be back.

A complete experience
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Watching whales, dolphins, seals, birds, the changing colours, swimming, braaing.... We enjoyed sunny weather at the pool, rainy weather inside watching showmax with the most beautiful flames in the fire place, and cloudy weather walking on the cliff path. We cooked wonderful meals in the kitchen, my partner worked out in the gym whilst I made good use of the office area, and our dogs completely relaxed. Everything one can ask for, is provided. The main thing about this house is that we felt wanted. Bruce really wants his guests to experience everything he loves about Whale Huys and surrounds. He shares the house with you in a way that makes you feel thoroughly welcome.
The thing with Whale Huys, I suggest, is to use every facet of it.. light a fire, place the lanterns alongside of the pool, swim, watch the whales through the telescope, walk down to the waves. You do not feel like a bothersome after thought, you are not intruding, you are absolutely invited to live in this house and treat it as your home. Whale Huys has everything you could want. I appreciated the fact that Bruce has left notes on how everything works, it is helpful in a respectful, adult way. Being pet friendly was the absolute cherry on top. We will, from now on, take our holidays in Gansbaai at Whale Huys.
