Loved our stay. The location is exquisite. Great value for money. Great host.

Stove didn’t work. Gas wasn’t provided so that was a bit disappointing as we purchased grocery items for the self catering home but ended up eating at the restaurant as we weren’t able to cook our purchased goods which we eventually gave away.

Place only needs aircon or fan (it got very hot inside) Uninterrupted power supply for loadshedding and gas in the gas stove (which is an easy fix). Otherwise everything was perfect. There isn’t anything else to mark the property down on. 9/10 with the three points above being the only points for consideration on my end.

A beautiful stay in Oubaai, but it's missing a few creature comforts.

The house is lovely with an incredible view out into the bush and valley below. The place is spacious and the surrounding setting is tranquil. In terms of what you need, there's enough of it - cutlery, glasses, crockery, there's a decent amount of it. All around, like a solid 7/10 for me.

The place could use a touch-up in certain places. There's a couple of instances of paint peeling, and it's in dire need of some dusting (the amount resting on the hanging lighting above is scary). The main bedroom mattress is harder than I would have liked. It also would have been nice to have an axe to cut wood, and aircon to keep cool especially when you don't want the windows open during the hot summer nights. The TV is also a tad bit dated without Netflix or Disney+ (it's not a smart TV).

Pleasant

The location is simple amazing, so if you a nature lover it does not gets much better than this. Pure magic with so much space and everything you ever need. Beautiful house, simple loved it.

Unfortunately the chances is good the access to the estate will frustrate you, the rather minor maintenance issues, the communication or lack of it, but it pales with the peace you will get to be this close to nature. In short, (hope the owner reads this), change your agent! And where was customer service of Booking.com ?

Peaceful and relaxing stay in paradise.

Unbelievably beautiful views of the valley with a river below. The peaceful surroundings adds to a relaxing stay.

We had to keep doors closed during the day because we had some monkeys helping themselves to some apples in the kitchen, but that's a small price to pay for living in paradise.

The views from the property were spectacular, we even had a fish eagle circle close to us. The clubhouse is within walking distance which is great for golfers and to be able to order from the restaurant. We were very happy with all the facilities and equipment provided

Awesome property with stunning views, definitely going back.

The unit itself was amazing with quality finishes and the most beautiful views. Location is perfect if you want to be close to the clubhouse - both for using the golf practice facilities and for breakfast, lunch or dinner at the clubhouse. Just make sure you book a table, space is limited. The walking trails are a must.

Access to get into the estate was a mission - both the initial entry and the subsequent ones. The code I got sent for the duration of the stay did not work and the security team did not know how to deal with it. Every time we entered the estate we waited for 10-15 min. This is an issue with the estate however and not the property / host. The house was nice and clean but the garage needs a proper cleaning.

Beautiful home with excellent location and view overlooking the Oubaai valley.

It is a beautiful house and the location and views of the property are second to none. It offers a modern open-plan living area that opens onto a wooden deck with splash pool. The house is designed to take in breathtaking views of the valley it overlooks. There are lots of birds in the area, and we even had a visit from a family of vervet monkeys (but they do tend to want to get into the house, so keep an eye out for them). All three bedrooms are spacious and en-suite.

The bedding in the main bedroom was sub-standard. The main bedrooms door was broken, and we asked the hosts via message to fix it. No response was ever received. There were no complimentary coffee or milk on arrival. We had an incident involving vervet monkeys, and it would have been good if the host alerted us to the monkey activity in the area beforehand. On the morning of our departure a cleaning lady arrived unannounced at 07h30 in the morning, although we only had to leave by 10am.

Great location for golf!

The location of this property is superb if you are a keen golfer as it is less than a 100m walk to the clubhouse. The views are spectacular and the rooms and bathrooms are big and comfortable. Very easy access to the heritage trail that takes you all the way to the whale look-out point. The communication we received from Kim regarding the access codes and keys to the house were great and easy to follow.

Lacking good outside braai facilities and the upstairs bedroom’s door was broken right next to the living room making privacy difficult. Blinds in the bedrooms doesn’t block any sunlight and therefore sleeping later than 7h was not an option.

Beautiful view

House was very Dusty and not cleaned properly. floors were dirty and the house needs a proper spring clean. Lots of Rain Spiders lurking in the house. The House maintenance is poor and its looking a bit run down.
