Minoas was great, very hospitable and nice, catering to all our needs. When we arrived, food and drinks were waiting for us. The villa was spacious, clean and neat. The kitchen was beyond fully equipped, so we could prepare anything. It's located 5 minutes drive from Kournas lake which we enjoyed for an afternoon and about 15 minutes drive from the old town Rethimno. I highly recommend it.

Minoas was a fantastic host. It's an incredibly beautiful property which is a bit remote (which makes it incredibly idyllic and peaceful for us!).
Minoas and his family catered to our need and treated us like friends at their Taverna just down the hill from where the villa is.
No negatives and no faults I could think of.
The weather was quite windy which made the pool and jacuzzi cold, but we braved it anyway!

The hospitality was extremely well. As if we had a personal assistant at our disposal, delevering us extra outdoor lounges, meals from his restaurant (which he didn’t even want us to pay for when we checked out, ultimately), keys when I forgot them.
He even sent us home with goodie bags full of souvenirs.
The only thing I can think of is the mechanical sound of the engine of the swimming pool heater.
But it won’t bother you’re not noise sensitive.

The ower’s hospitality made my family stay happily. He was fast in reply and gave us several recommendation to enjoy the vacation. Very clean and well made villa. It is near to lake and calm mood with nature. 8 beds are enough for two families.

The BEST Villa with the BEST host! Minoas Villas truly exceeded all my expectations. I honestly can’t fault anything about my stay. The Villa is even more beautiful in person, the area is stunning and has everything you need to hand. The host went out of his way many of times to help us wherever he could, and is available to speak 24/7 about anything you could possibly need. Anything we asked for was bought to the villa within 10 minutes. The villa is stocked with essentials and everything you need to feel truly at home. As a group of 6 young females we had concerns about safety, however, there was not a moment we didn’t feel 100% safe and welcomed. I will definitely be coming back. We Couldn’t be happier! If your hesitant about booking, this is your sign to DO IT!!!!

This villa was stunning, we had everything we needed there such as toiletries, electricals and some food essentials. The owner of the villa was so helpful and available 24/7. He sorted everything for us with good taxi service links also. We were close by to some lovely tavernas and the lake. I would definitely return again

but i can promise that this Villa is amazing .
U got all what u need inside and the pool area is exactly like described.
The owner was so Kind and caring about the guests.

Let me just say that Minoas is awesome. He was waiting for us at the villa when we arrived, gave us a complete tour and gave us helpful advice for things to do in the area. When we had a minor issue with the remote control for the front gate, he fixed it immediately.
Besides all that - the villa is spectacular. It's very modern, big, and clean. It's so great that you'd want to spend all your vacation time there. Because there's nothing you could miss! It has a nice pool and a whirlpool, a large patio with many chairs, and a nice living room.
Still, if you ever manage to leave the villa, there's lots really cool stuff to do close by. You've got lake Kournas which is in 5 minutes by foot, and you have great beaches on the north coast which are like 8 minutes by car.
There's really nothing to miss at this villa. If it seems to good to be true, it simply is!

Everything was incredible. The villa itself was very impressive and had everything we needed. Our host, Minoas, made sure we had all the basic necessities in the villa before arriving. It made everything so much easier. Talking about the host, Minoas was everything you could wish for in a host. He was very kind and responded immediately. When we had issues with the wifi, Minoas was there within minutes to help us out. He also made sure to call us in advance to tell us when the villa would be cleaned. It made our holiday so much more comfortable.

The villa was absolute luxury and the owners had thought of everything to make the stay more comfortable. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Minoas and he would keep in touch throughout our stay to ensure we had all we needed and we were enjoying our stay. The location is superb, so central to most of the bigger towns on the island but rural enough to give you absolute peace and serenity. The lake is a particular highlight and Minoas and family are extremely welcoming at their taverna on the lake. I can't speak highly enough of this property, it
has been an incredible week. There are so many things that come together to make this an extraordinary place to stay and I think Minoas has thought of absolutely everything to make this a memorable and luxurious place to stay. Thank you Minoas and family.

The Villa is really modern and well located near the lake and many Tavernas. It is well equipped so that you can your stay at the fullest. Also the Seaview from the pool and all rooms is spectacular. I can only recommend staying here, since also Minoas by himself is a great host !

This is an amazing place, looks like the pictures, very clean and modern, beds were comfy, pool is great. Honestly was perfect. And the host Minoas and his family were so helpful and a delight. We will definitely return.
The location is beautiful but quiet, this isn’t a negative just I don’t think I appreciated so wanted to let others know. If I’m being really picky the kitchen could do with some tea towels and kitchen towel and an extra chopping board. VERY minor things.

Amazing! The villa is around a 40 minutes drive from the airport but was nice and easy to get to, the coast is also only a 10 minutes drive where there are multiple supermarkets and restaurants. Lake Kornas was beautiful and only a 5 minute walk!
The villa was spotless and provided a range of facilities. We cooked almost every night in the villa! The bbq was also a dream to use.
Minoas was an excellent host, and was there day or night if we needed anything. Thank you!

loved the area which is unspoilt by tourism and up in the hills & olive groves with beautiful views of the lake and sea.
The living space is exceptional and I can imagine in the summer it’s even more amazing. We stayed in April and chose the property as it had a hot tub but unfortunately it’s the same temperature as the rest of the pool which wasn’t great for the month of April. We were disappointed about that. but the kids did manage a few dips in the pool. It was just a little too cold for the season. We never expected to use the pool but we’re looking forward to using the hot tub, so you can see the disappointment.

The villa was very well equipped and a beautiful place to spend time. Minoas was a great host and we visited his restaurant at the lake a couple of times - really tasty authentic food! Minoas was so kind and helpful throughout the week. We loved our first visit to Crete and we did lots during our week long stay! Hired bikes from Georgioupoli and enjoyed a great ride up in the mountains exploring local villages. Brilliant!!! All the girls (and I) want to stay again :)

The location was close to Lake Kournas - a 10 minute walk to the shore. It is a great basis from which to see surrounding region. The house itself is excellent with everything you could wish to find to have a great stay. The host, Minoas, was there to greet us when we arrived with a gift and helped us during our stay with advice and directions.
The weather at the time but the heated pool definitely help make visit more pleasant.

Stay here your entire trip if you can. The house and location are amazing at the edge of a tiny village in the middle of olive trees overlooking the sea. A few minutes drive away is lake Kournas where the family owns a Taberna. You can try their local food at great prices and you can tell they put their heart into it. They were so incredible friendly and treated us like family instead of dollar signs. They took care of everything and the little touches were amazing. We loved the experience, house, location and people so much we spent an entire night thinking of retiring here!
Location: edge of a tiny village so very quiet at all times.
House: new and modern with windows everywhere and automatic shutters in some rooms so it is blackout dark for a deep sleep. There is a washing machine amd it is a dryer as well. There are all sorts of kitchen supplies like panini press, coffee maker, expresso machine, electric juice maker, dish washer etc. Plenty of everything.
Pool: beautiful. It is heated but at this time of year it isn't hot. Enough to swim if you are used to cooler pools but we did come in November so we understand 100%. The pool deck area is an Instagrammer's paradise. Seriously amazing in the day or night.
Garden: the smell of Rosemary, the outside tables overlooking the sea across the olive trees.....amazing.
Hosts: could not ask for better. They helped us check in early...we arrived at 10am! The house was being cleaned and we were going to wait in the car when he come to his mom's Taberna at the lake. She cooked breakfast for us and didn't charge us. They left a bottle of wine for us as welcome in the house. The next day we went for coffee and he wouldn't take our money. At the end he gave us a gift. Seriously good people.
Overall: This is more than a place to stay. This is an experience. If you want to experience Crete hospitality at it's best in luxury then come here.
There is nothing bad but come with an open mind that you are up in the mountains and it gets cool at night (12 or 13 degrees at the start of November). It isn't cold by any means.

Well, this is a vaccation house I wish I could bring where ever I travel in the world. It has amazing facilities, a great host, is well equipped and has beautiful views. A rental car is essential here and for even more fun bring some pool toys. A big thank you to Minoas who was so welcoming and helpful!

Everything.
The owner, Minoas, was absolutely great, such an inspiring person. Helped with everything, was available all day long for us.
He has a restaurant near the lake, which is 5 minutes away, and you have a menu in the apartment. You can order to the villa everything you want from the restaurant, and the food was absolutely amazing.
The heated pool was a pleasure, we used it all day and all night, perfect temperature!
The house was in great condition, everything was clean and well thought of.
I would definitely be back with my entire family, there is even a children’s room with bunk beds :)
