The cabin was very clean, but there were signs of a mouse and spiders. A few mouse droppings could be seen thru out the cabin. Also the cleaning staff needs to take a little extra time and vacuum the spiders and webs from the bathrooms. The parking was very tight. If you have a full size truck or large suv, you will have problems turning around. That's all the negative. The pictures make the cabin look small, but there is plenty of room. The back deck and hot tub are very clean and private. I would stay here again. Read more

A solid B
A family plus 2 vacation. This was a great base camp. Very close to great locations in the park. Not far from Cades Cove. There were some issues but the staff was helpful about getting them taken care of. Could have used more dish towels. We ate in 2 times a day. But we were a group of 7 and we were not cramped. The property description was accurate regarding layout, location, amenities. The property was not clean. When I called about all the dust and the cobwebs in the closet, management was not concerned. They said "Well we do not do a deep cleaning." Really??!! The maintenance was okay. The cabin has a few issues. The water has a high iron content, thus the water has a heavy metal smell. It feels like you are bathing out of a rusty tin can. If that does not bother you then ok. The bed in the master bedroom (where the spa tub is located) needs a new mattress and pillows (VERY FLAT). The LR needs a new sofa. The kitchen is awesome. Great appliances including a washer and dryer. The kitchen has a beautiful table that is large enough for meals or playing board games. This cabin just needs a little refresh. It was quite and semi-secluded. Would recommend if the above items are not an issue for the renter. We enjoyed Cades Cove, Skybridge, Dollywood. We enjoyed Five Oaks Farm Restaurant, Pancake House at Light 8 in Gatlinburg, Grandmothers Cafe, Starliner Diner, Apple Barn and Elviras. Read more
We really enjoyed this rustic cabin. This place is secluded and very quiet. The beds are very firm so just keep that in mind. Also, the drive to the cabin is up winding roads. This place also had a large fireplace and wood wood was provided. We recommend this cabin to stay in. Service from Cove Mtn was great as well. Read more
Our second stay at this cabin
Except for the maids request for a donation that was placed on the kitchen counter with past donations of other guest noted on the back of an envelope....others were very professional with any request that I made while staying at the cabin. This was the second time that we enjoyed this particular cabin and would recommend to others. The cabin was lovely with plenty of room for our family. It was difficult to find and signage would have helped. If you are leery of hills and heights, this driveway is NOT for you. Location was half way between Townsend and Pigeon Forge, so if you like being near the Parkway, it's a bit of a drive. I happen to enjoy the businesses and restaurants in Wears Valley so I was fine with the location. The rest of the family, not so much. Read more
Quick trip into the National Park!
The cabin was in the treetops and had a great deck with hot tub. We could hear owls at night and enjoyed the deck and front porch immensely. The house was dark inside, since it is surrounded by trees. Beds were comfortable and bedrooms were spacious. GPS was not helpful for finding the cabin, but the seclusion was worth the effort. Bear Hug 2
Everything was really great. It was a little hard to get two cars into the driveway. There are a few things that could have been easier as far as communication and letting us know how small the driveway was and the sign was a little hard to find to make sure we were at the right place. However, place was clean and we slept great! The beds were very comfortable and we were able to find extra blankets and even a fan. Plenty of space for two families! Everything was clean and organized! Read more

Great Cabin Great Agency!
We loved Bear Hug Too. Great little cabin, one of our favorites. Very clean and well equipped with everything you would expect. This is our 9th stay with Cove Mountain and would highly recommend them. There have been a few minor issues over the years, and all have been dealt with in a very prompt and professional manner. Thanks to Charlotte and the team, we look forward to stay number 10 next year! Read more
Quiet and Relaxing Cabin Near Smoky Mountains
We (two adults) stayed at this cabin for a week in April 2019 while exploring the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We primarily chose this cabin for its close proximity to the park and easy access (minutes drive) to the Wear Cove Gap Rd entrance to the park. This worked out great for us. We enjoyed soaking our legs in the hot tub after a day of hiking, and having a relaxing beverage at night on the porch. The master bed was very comfortable and we had a great night's sleep every night. We didn't use the big soaking tub in the bedroom, but it looked like it would have been great. We also didn't use the fireplace, but it looked like it would have provided a very cozy atmosphere. The cabin was as described and we would stay there again. We recommend moonshine tasting at Tennessee Shine Company - Sevierville, and dinner at Geppettos Italian Restaurant. The only downside is the lack of nearby restaurants (there are a few, but pay attention to their hours) without driving into Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. It was a very nice stay and wonderful vacation overall. Read more

Wow!!!! What a wonderful place!
Pictures do not describe how beautiful this place is .... nestled in the middle of nowhere surrounded by the beautiful mountains. Online is fine, but once we arrived is was just amazing to see what one would dream of a vacation stay to look like. There was plenty of firewood to stay warm and cozy, it had everything we needed and more. The roads are curvy and full of beautiful scenery and our 4Runner loved every second of it. The cabin was 95% clean... just a few small issues, but nothing that would stop us from going back again. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Read more
