Blue Cottage: 2020 Renovations, Walk to Beach, Pet Friendly, Private Fence

The Blue Cottage is a quaint little cottage settled in a residential neighborhood just a short walk away from Oak Island Beach. This cottage is perfect for families, dog lovers and anyone looking for a quiet getaway... come relax at The Blue Cottage.. The cottage offers a sizable fenced in backyard for all your fur babies and for your kiddos as well. A nice size patio and grill are there for your enjoyment. We also have a fire pit to enjoy! (please be sure to clean fire pit responsibly) The cottage is stocked with dishes , cooking utensil's, BBQ utensil's, Keurig coffee maker, washer and dryer, etc. (we do not supply any paper products, soap, laundry, toiletries). We offer a master bedroom with a queen bed and upstairs are two double beds. The living room couch also pulls out to offer sleeping accommodations. There are two full baths, one downstairs with a full tub and shower. The upstairs bath is a stand-up shower. The Blue Cottage is just a few minute drive to the grocery store and to local shops and restaurants. It only takes about 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the nearest ocean access, perfect if you have a wagon to haul the families things in! While your on the island don't forget to check out the North Carolina Maritime Museum, and The Oak Island Lighthouse. Charming Southport is just a short drive over the bridge, where you will find local shops and delicious restaurants. Southport also has the Fort Johnston Museum, kayaking and canoeing, and lots of site seeing tours! There are plenty of shops for gifts, art and clothing. And don't forget Wilmington is about a 40 min drive, there is also a ferry option.. Oak Island really is great vacation spot, and The Blue Cottage is nestled in the perfect spot!
