Gorgeous Views & Plentiful Wildlife
Views to the ocean and beyond. Abundant wildlife. We saw foxes, turkeys, deer, a groundhog, chipmunks, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, hawks, and gold finches. Rental management responded to our call immediately when we smelled gas. Turned out to be an empty propane tank which they then replaced. Home is lovely and spacious. Location is superb. My favorite place to shop was Damariscotta at the Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop that is a relaxing place to hang out as well as an unparalleled selection of books that benefit the local library.  Read more

A real Maine experience
We rented this house for four adults and two young adult kids and all agreed that it exceeded our expectations. The house itself is self-employed and lovely but the property on which it sits is magnificent. It is not On the water but has a stunning view of the bay on the backside of the house with a very nicely landscaped and fairly expansive yard surrounded on three sides with wooded areas that provide privacy from adjoining properties. The house provided plenty of room for us to spread out and not feel we were in too if one another and ample bathrooms. We cooked at least one meal each day and having rented many vacation homes we were very pleased at how well the kitchen was equipped. This house is also not in a high tourist area so it was extremely peaceful but a relatively short drive to areas like Damariscota and Boothbay for shopping, whale watch excursions, etc. We had a fantastic stay here and would love to return!  Read more
