Excellent staff with positive attitude. The hotel is family friendly and they care about their guests. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and spacious.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast staff was very attentive to keeping items supplied. Afternoon snacks were a nice touch as well as mix your own trail mix a couple of mornings.

It was a little farther from downtown Bar Harbor than expected. However, there is a free shuttle running to downtown every 15 minutes until 9:00pm.

August 9-10, I booked a stay at Acadia Inn Acadia, expecting a smooth experience. Unfortunately, my credit card was charged three times for one of the rooms. Instead of the expected $800, they deducted nearly $2,000! If I hadn't caught this error, it seems unlikely they would have notified me. It took almost a week before they partially refunded the overcharge, and that was only after I initiated contact. There was no proactive apology or immediate resolution from their side. While the hotel does offer some nice freebies, these perks don't make up for the financial headache. If you plan to stay here, meticulously check your credit card statements. It's a shame because the potential for a great stay is overshadowed by such financial mishandling. Stay vigilant!
