This is a really lovely, spacious apartment, right up by the castle and overlooking the city. Three double bedrooms, one en suite plus a second bathroom and a kitchenette to cook basics. Amazing views of course, and on the first night we were treated to a particularly impressive sunset. It’s lovely to turn round a chair in the evening and watch as the city lights up beneath you. Don’t be put off by how high up it is, it is easy to access the central shopping/restaurant streets by leaving the apartment, turning right out the door and down to the road that goes up to the castle. Instead of turning left to go up to the castle, walk across the road and take the public (free) elevator ‘Elevador do Castelo’, which takes you down to the Pingo Doce supermarket (good for picking up bits on the way back at the end of the day). Go straight out the doors, down to the main street, turn left and cross over the crossing, and just along on that side of the road, you’ll find the second free public elevator ‘Elevador Baixa’ which will take you down into the town.

The bathrooms could benefit from a deep clean or a refit, but were OK. The water pressure is generally poor in the kitchen and bathrooms, as you would expect on the top floor of a building on the highest hill in Lisbon! It would benefit from a kettle for us British tea drinkers, but plenty of pans for boiling in as an alternative.

Abbiamo avuto il piacere di soggiornare in questa splendida casa in sei persone, due famiglie di amici con ragazzi di 16 e 21 anni, e l’esperienza è stata davvero eccellente. Ci siamo trovati molto bene: l’alloggio era confortevole e la posizione, nel cuore del quartiere Alfama, era perfetta per visitare la città e vivere l’atmosfera autentica di Lisbona. La vista dall’appartamento è semplicemente mozzafiato e permette di ammirare l’intera città da una prospettiva unica. Le camere da letto erano dotate di letti molto comodi. La struttura è curata nei minimi dettagli, accogliente e fornita di tutti i comfort necessari per trascorrere un soggiorno rilassante. Gli ambienti sono luminosi, ben organizzati e arredati con gusto. Un ringraziamento speciale va al team di GuestReady, disponibile e attento alle esigenze degli ospiti. Consiglio vivamente questa casa a chiunque desideri un soggiorno piacevole e confortevole a Lisbona. Saremo felici di tornare in futuro!

L’alloggio si trova in una strada a traffico limitato, quindi non è possibile fermarsi direttamente davanti all’ingresso. Per questo motivo, raggiungerlo con bagagli pesanti può risultare un po’ faticoso. Tuttavia, la splendida vista che si gode dal balconcino della casa ripaga ampiamente dello sforzo e fa dimenticare la fatica del percorso.

The view from the living room is beautiful. The location is good, near the castle.

The apartment was not clean, we found hair in the bathroom and kitchen. The shower head was broken so the water was barely pouring. The beds creak so bad that will wake you up if you move during your sleep. One of the chairs has only 3 chair legs... The checkin process is annoying, they sent a lot of emails asking for details about the chekin, and they were still late at the apartment.
