Nothing, we loved it

The hotel location is perfect facing the beach and easy access to centre of town and shopping. Plenty of staff. Rooms are large and comfortable particularly the bathroom which was very well equipped. Housekeeping was perfect with room cleaned daily.

Upgrade to seaview room was very expensive. Room had smallest balcony i have ever seen with just enough room for two small chairs but no table. Biggest issue we had however was that we had emailed the hotel to book airport transfer on arrival which was confirmed. but the transport never arrived so we had to wait over an hour for a taxi to take us to the hotel. We spoke to the concierge regarding the missing transport and provided her with the email proof of booking but we never heard any more about this. Our overall holiday was ruined by the rules and regulations around use of the beach. No sunbeds or umbrellas allowed. Members only areas and we were forced into a small area for tourists so felt very unwelcome. Only option was to hire a small chair and an overhead canopy in an area a fraction of the size of the overall beach. So if you didn't get there early enough as a tourist then even this option wasn't available. If relaxing and sunbathing in the sun with a sunbed and umbrella is a big part of your holiday then San Sebastian is not for you !!
