The Golden Wheel Hotel

It was a nice small hotel of 17 rooms. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was varied every day and good. Location was great. Nice and quiet. Handy for the tram and not too far from the metro

The bed and pillow could have been a bit comfier

It was quirky with a spacious room and shower room, lovely air conditioning.

There was not any wardrobe in the room,not very convenient

The room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of hot water. One could adjust the thermostat in the room. The breakfast was one of the best I have had in a hotel with hot and cold items. The breakfast has something for everyone! There was a beautiful rooftop garden. The hotel is in short walking distance to the castle. The staff was friendly.

We had to walk up 52 steps to get to our room, and we had a lot of heavy luggage. There were no other rooms available that night. It was difficult as I had some knee issues as well that made steps difficult. We were in Room 18 which is the highest room in the hotel. I would not recommend this room if you have a lot of luggage or have difficulty with steps. Room 16 and 17 require steps also. The other rooms in the hotel were easy access with an elevator. There is not a 24-hour staff at the check-in desk. They do not come in until 8 am. If you need to check out of the hotel earlier than that, you will need to make arrangements to check out the day before. If I stayed here again, I would request not to stay in Rooms 16, 17 & 18 as they do not have elevator access..
