The apartment is on the first floor and is accessible via a spacious elevator and a beautiful red marble staircase with yellow and black marble accents.
The home can accommodate 1 to 7 guests in 3 comfortable double bedrooms, all with air conditioning and soundproof windows, and a French daybed.The bedrooms are served by two full bathrooms, one with a tub and shower and one with a shower, both equipped with a toilet and bidet. A crib is available upon request for 10€ per day.The rooms are spacious and bright, furnished with nightstands, wardrobes, lamps, and works of art.
The Art Nouveau suite, featuring a beautiful antique double bed, includes a comfortable 19th-century “boat-shaped” bed for a seventh guest in a separate area.The large, bright kitchen, featuring an antique wooden table and Thonet chairs, is decorated with antique branches, an oil painting, and early 20th-century perches, yet it is equipped with all the modern appliances and amenities you need, such as a refrigerator, oven, washing machine, dishwasher, vacuum cleaner, kettle, toaster, blender, dishes and pots, iron and ironing board, and plenty of storage space. It’s also well-suited for families or groups of friends, as has often been the case with our guests.
A comfortable living room featuring art objects, sofas, a Smart TV, and books on Sicily—all designed to help you relax—opens onto a beautiful dining room furnished with pieces by the famous Ducrot cabinetmakers, who were active during the Florio era. The gallery inside the house features a bookcase and another table with beautiful chairs, perfect for studying or playing cards. The utilities are independent and have been regularly updated.The windows overlook the sea.
LOCATION Palazzo Cancilla is located just a few meters (50) from the sea; there used to be a beach there, but today we’re right on the edge of the port of Palermo.Il —a downtown neighborhood situated between the old Cala Harbor and the current port, making it the trendiest and most sought-after area. Our neighbor across the way is Monte Pellegrino, which Goethe called “the most beautiful promontory in Europe.”The building is outside the ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone), so it’s accessible by car even though it’s right in the city center; it’s 200 meters from the historic center, and you can usually find free parking right outside the building.There are no noisy bars
Near the building, you’ll find places of historical, cultural, and tourist interest, including major museums, monuments, elegant shops,
theaters, bookstores, gardens, and museums.Excellent restaurants and pizzerias. Many places are within walking distance: the Archaeological Museum, the Vucciria Market, Palazzo Branciforte, Piazza Marina, and Palazzo Abatellis, the Castello a Mare, built in the Arab style, and the new Marina Yacthing with Italy’s largest musical fountain and many beautiful venues on the mare.Il, the Teatro Massimo, and Via Maqueda are 700–800 meters away, and in the opposite direction, the Teatro Politeama and Via Libertà are the same distance away.A bus line connects the house to the train station; bike and car rentals are available right across the street, and there are tourist buses to Monreale.Upon request, we can arrange a trusted private taxi to and from the airport.
