The Social Hub Porto Extended Stay

Great location, beautifully clean, staff were fantastic. Rooftop bar was great along with the services in the hotel. 20% off on food and drinks while we were there was amazing and staff also wished me happy birthday with a gorgeous brownie.

Could have done with a little better lighting in the room- other than that could not fault it

It was a fantastic week at Social Hub Extended Stay. Don't waste your time comparing other options - just book here and be done with it. The hotel is clean and modern, organized around a nice community ethos. The breakfast is amazing, the restaurant was great, and there is a stunning view, vibe and menu on the rooftop patio (with pool!) to watch the sunset. I experienced consistent next-level service from everyone with whom I interacted. And, it's just around the corner from anything you want to see or do -- all the while being incredibly quiet. There's no need to struggle with buses or schedules - just step out and go!

The location is very central, the bed very comfortable and rooms very quiet!! We loved the rooftop terrace bar restaurant, the only downside was it didn't have enough shaded areas and tender to get very busy later in the afternoon. The staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough for you. It felt like they took pride in their work and nothing was too much trouble!! Highly recommend this place for a short or extended stay!!!!

Great location in central Porto. Good and comfortable rooms, comfortable bed and everything in the room was functioning. Amazing view from the rooftop over Porto. Unfortunately I did not really have a view from my window since it was very narrow.

There are a few issues. First of all, I booked this hotel because in the description it says that the hotel has a swimming pool, it's not a swimming pool as such since the water only recached a bit over my knees. Impossible to swim in. I tried but kept hitting my feet in the bottom of the pool. Big disappointment for me. The AC is very cold, I heard other guests complaining about it. The problem is that I don't use AC, and it was not possible to open the window in my room, there was something about the fire regulations or something. So, the air in the room was not nice. And, since I don't use AC I got too warm while sleeping because the duvet was really heavy and thick. I asked the staff for a less thick duvet but they didn't have any, the only option was to use a sheet. Finally, there's hardly any mobile data coverage in the room so my network connection got switched off sometimes since I didn't want to use the open wifi provided by the hotel. According to the staff I spoke to the issue with mobile coverage is in all the rooms. I've addressed all these issues with the staff but there wasn't much they could do. From what I understand the hotel is very new so these things might be something that will improve in the future.
