You'll find a variety of restaurants serving anything from fresh seafood to tasty pizza or hot dogs with fries. While Bethany Beach has the usual beach activities like swimming, boating, and fishing, it also has some unique things to do.
- Boardwalk: The boardwalk is a popular gathering spot stretching a half mile long and 12 feet wide. The beach is on one side, with shops and restaurants on the other.
- Delaware Seashore State Park: Just north of Bethany Beach, this barrier island is a great place to explore the outdoors. It's six miles long and includes nature preserves and beaches.
- Fenwick Island Lighthouse: The 87-foot-high brick tower was built to prevent shipwrecks in the shoals. It opened in 1859 and now serves as a historic landmark.
