Where Is Kimberley, Canada?
The town of Kimberley can be found in the Kootenay region, along the Canadian Rockies of southeastern British Columbia. The closest reasonably-sized town is Cranbrook, 25 minutes south. Given its isolated location and distance to further attractions, Kimberley is best accessed via car. If you plan to visit for winter skiing or summer golfing, the Canadian Rockies Airport is located in Cranbrook, 13 miles away from Kimberley.

- Kimberley Alpine Resort: A smaller, but serviceable, laidback ski resort, Kimberley Alpine Resort is equipped with three chairlifts, a T-bar, and 80 runs of varying difficulty. The lifts are open during summer weekends for hikers too. The best accommodations of all types are at the base of the mountain. Trickle Creek Golf Resort can be found near the base of the ski resort.
- Marysville Falls & Eco Park: Marysville Falls Viewpoint & Eco Park is on the south end of the Marysville neighborhood between the golf courses. It is an easy walk and a view of the falls pouring off the St. Mary River.
- Kimberley’s Underground Mining Railway: Take a short open-air train ride inside the Sullivan Mine and Power Plant where you will learn about the development and operation of the mine as well as the daily life of the miners. Tours at Kimberley’s Underground Mining Railway are best suited for adults and older children, which take about two hours and are often given by retired miners.
