Clean, friendly, good location.

Lovely room,great bed and good facilities however our wardrobe had no rod to hang clothes & the shower flooded the bathroom so you had to sweep the water into the drain manually. Also the toilet seat was broken and it's about 40 minutes metro ride (not including 10 minutes walk to the station) to get into the centre so useful to be aware of that. By far and away the best thing about this hostel was meeting Raj who works there as a guide. He spoke excellent English and was extremely helpful, going so far as to book some trains for us,among other things. We also went on his Food and Temple tour of Old Delhi which was fantastic,highly recommended! If he hadn't been there I would have given this hostel a lower rating.

As others have noted the staff don't wear any identifying badge or uniform so it's difficult to distinguish who they are. This could be problematic for female guests as the staff (& many of the guests ) are young men. Also most of them spoke very little English which made communication a bit challenging at times. We had to wait for a taxi which we thought had been pre-booked and almost missed our train as a result so take note! Also, our room flooded due to a blockage caused by another guest (so not necessarily the fault of the hostel) . It was the morning we were due to leave so although inconvenient, we were lucky. The staff were helpful & took our things to another room so we could dry them but were not forthcoming with an offer of compensation so we had to come up with something ourselves which, to be fair, they accepted but I thought it didn't demonstrate great customer service all in all.
